    Nix and Lynch are so close they are listed as siblings on Facebook and Lynch's mom is listed as Nix's mom too. I guess they're not only best friends but the families are incredibly close.

    Here's how I see it:

    Nix is at Notre Dame, and we have every reason to believe he will be a very good NG. Tuitt is committed and will be a great bullrushing DE and very stout against the run. Lynch knows this, and not only that he loves Notre Dame. It was pretty apparent even when he decommitted he wasn't very happy about it. Lynch is thinking that if he plays with his best friend and Tuitt, they could have a special defensive line at Notre Dame.

    Williams was around all week and knows it too. He knows how nice playing OLB will be with those guys on the line and Te'o in the middle. He was rumored to be between Syracuse and Notre Dame. He also delayed his announcement to have a conversation with his father, a Syracuse alumnus. Why would you delay your announcement if you weren't going to change schools or at least reconsider?

    Meanwhile keep in mind the defense looked nasty at the end of the season and so the opposing coaches' angle of "Notre Dame has been bad at defense since the 1990's, and it isn't changing." would have evaporated.

    There are reports that Lynch is livid about Florida State coaches lying to him. Any guess as to what it is about? My amateur guess is about being an early enrollee/academics.

    The only thing that came of last night's meetings was Lynch officially de-committed. Obviously that is a good sign for ND because in the article that you posted from right after the game, he said himself that he had not de-committed at the time.

    Its very exciting and titillating to have such big good looking boys join our fine team at Notre Dame. I can't wait to see these studs in the blue and gold. Especially the tight gold pants.

    Gee whiz I was told this was a friendly place to talk about college football players and such things. I'm a lifelong lover of the Golden Domes at Notre Dame and to be accused of being a troll on my first day is very disconcerting. I hope we can all be really good friends in the future.

    Sounds good about Lynch. Kelly's recruiting thus far has been outstanding.

    Yeah I just read that as well. He has been quoted many times about not wanting to be lied to by coaches but never really said who he was referring to or why.

    I was wondering the same thing. ND has a bunch of DE's already committed, plus a few out there still who are considering the Irish.

    I'm just so excited about Mr. Kelly's wonderful recruiting efforts so far. His background in the Church prepared him to be a great recruiter. The priests I grew up with instilled their love for Notre Dame football deep inside me every chance they got as I'm sure they did with Mr. Kelly. So far it looks like he is bringing that same burning passion to all his young charges. Keep It Up Mr. Kelly!

    I know not of this Sleeper character you speak of. But if my post was not acceptable to you for some reason please accept my deepest sympathys.

    I'm just looking for some other fine fellows to share my interests in Notre Dame and Michigan football with. I realize that is contradictory and maybe even blasphemous to most of you but I grew up loving both these wonderful programs and find it sooo hard to tear myself away from either team. By the way I grew up in Steubenville, Ohio and was reared on ND and UM by the football coaches and priests at SCCHS. Would by chance anybody else on here have a similar experience?
