3.92 average. Very nice.
You can bet the farm that the Irish will get the commitments from four-star Ohio RB William Mahone, and one of the fantastic Marshall crew. I can't think of any near-commits off the top of my head, but then again I am drunk at 4am... -
Crimson streakThat is one big boy our d line will be insane in the next couple years
-
karen lotzKeith Marshall called one of the guys that reports on ND recruiting to find out some information on Jones and he wasn't the first commit Marshall has asked about. ND could be moving up on Marshall's list with the class they are bringing in.

Saw that, and ND is one of Marshall's 3 visits.
Darby also commented on being pumped on Jones' commitment. -
killer_ewokWake Forest is a noon kickoff.

Tobias FünkeMichigan: 1-0, 34-10 win as expected over Western Michigan
Michigan State: 1-0, 28-6 win over Youngstown State...looked like crap outside of Cousins and Cunningham.
Pittsburgh: 1-0, 35-16 over Buffalo.
Purdue: 1-0, 27-24 over MTSU. They suck.
Air Force: 1-0, 37-20 over South Dakota. Not impressive.
USC: 1-0, 19-17 win over Minnesota. Looked as expected...they still have big issues.
Navy: 1-0, 40-17 over Delaware.
Wake Forest: 0-1, 29-36 (OT) loss to Syracuse. Actually, better than expected.
Maryland: n/a
Boston College: 0-1, 17-24 loss to Northwestern. No offensive threat. Notre Dame would need seven TO's to lose this one.
Stanford: 1-0, 57-3 over SJSU. They are good.
The opponents are 9-2 thus far. -
karen lotzND got its first commit of the 2013 class. Michigan OL Steve Elmer committed today. 6'6" 300 as a junior.
-

Sounds like he has potential. Just needs to grow a couple inches and add some weight.karen lotz;901106 wrote:ND got its first commit of the 2013 class. Michigan OL Steve Elmer committed today. 6'6" 300 as a junior. -

Yeah, a 6' 6" 300 lb junior is pretty small.Rotinaj;901290 wrote:Sounds like he has potential. Just needs to grow a couple inches and add some weight. -

But we all know he's really 6' 2" and 250. -

Nah he is massive -
karen lotzWR Chris Brown out of South Carolina committed after visiting yesterday. 6'2" can play inside or outside. Joins Deontay Greenberry and Justin Ferguson as receiver commits for 2012.

Tobias FünkeFrom back on the first page:
He is on pace for 1,197 yards for the regular season. He has four touchdowns already. His average will increase in the latter half of the schedule.Tobias Fünke;620172 wrote:In 2011 I'm excited about Cierre Wood. He may become the first Notre Dame rusher to hit 1,000 yards since 2006. He had 602 with a 5.1 average. His 5.1 average in 2010 is the highest for an Irish leading rusher since Julius Jones' 5.5 in 2003. Wood was a sophomore (RS-Frosh) in 2010 with legitimate patience issues, which were nearly gone by the end of the season. With 4/5 returning offensive lineman, and a rather easy replacement pending, I expect something like 1,200 yards, seven touchdowns, and a ~5.3 average. I say that because the team amassed 1,646 rushing yards in 2010. I expect that to grow to 2010 to ~2,000, and Wood is good enough to be the "feature back" so to speak. Big, big year in 2011 for Cierre Wood.
I could be right for a change... -
Tobias FünkeTeam.....2010 rushing average, 2010 rushing touchdown average. 2011 Notre Dame game rushing stats
USF....145 yards, 1.4 TD's. 126 yards, zero TD's.
UM....239 yards, 2.7 TD's. 114 yards, one TD.
MSU....159 yards, 1.9 TD's. 29 yards, zero TD's.
Pitt....166 yards, 1.9 TD's. 104 yards, zero TDs.
Currently ranks 25th in the country...while having faced studs like Robinson, Bell, Baker, and Graham and the 5th-toughest schedule thus far, and while most others play scrubs that skew their statistics. Look for a season-ending ranking north of top 15 against the run. -
karen lotzMahone announcing his commitment tonight after his game. Down to Pitt and Notre Dame.
-
Tobias FünkeIf he doesn't pick Notre Dame, I'd be shocked.
-
karen lotzAs would I.
-
killer_ewokHere's to hoping he's Irish! I just hope that last night's emphatic Pitt victory and huge game by Ray Graham didn't sway him.

Eh I think he had his mind made up earlier this week. Also, he was supposed to take an official to Pitt for the ND game but didn't and was supposed to visit unofficially last night for USF but didn't. He will be going back to South Bend on his own dime for the USC game. -
