This. I was kinda worried how these would come out but they did a good job. Not sure about the green facemask but it doesn't look terrible either.

I don't think the green facemask is right. The pic of just the helmet was posted by some as a possible look at what the helmets would be. If you look at the pic with the whole thing together, the helmet has a gray facemask.

Swarbrick says a Notre Dame Network is in the works.

He revealed a few weeks ago that Notre Dame is pursuing a digital network sorta thing, not like a national cable network. It should work well in my opinion, I'd buy it.

Can you re-post the picture of the helmet you put up on the Michigan throwback thread? All I see on that one is the dreaded red x.

Any idea when the kickoff times for Pitt and Wake Forest will be announced?

Will we get to see some actual photos of the jerseys being worn? That Adidas model strikes fear.

That wasn't a model, that was Golson after a semester in Longo's program. :)

Not sure if ABC/ESPN finalize their primetime schedule before the season or not. Could be possible they wait to see how teams look to start the season to select who gets the primetime slots? I know the Pitt game is early in the season, but they could wait to see how Wake and ND look.

Gotcha I see that now. I like the gray a lot better

So I'm definitely going to the South Florida game with 2-3 buddies of mine. I went to the Purdue game last season, my first game as a few of you may remember, and it was incredible. Since the quarter won't start at Ohio State it makes since to go then. Of course, the ****ers in charge in Bricker Hall are switching to semesters, throwing my Ireland trip for the Navy game next year in jeopardy. I digress...

Given my location in Columbus, it's only 3.5 hours to Pittsburgh and 4 hours to West Lafayette. I'm thinking about going to two games this season (South Florida and one of these). Have any of you been to games there? Is it worth the trip? I'm leaning slightly towards West Lafayette as I think the tickets would be cheaper because Purdont sorta blows. They're selling for $80+ dollars on stubhub vs, $110+ for Pittsburgh...not that I would ever buy from there I would scalp no doubt.
The only Pitt games that ever sell out are WVU (which wasn't a sell out last year), a big time OC game and when ND comes to town. Although, Pitt has a new HC and the University has been hyping it up. IMO, you'll have no problems finding tickets in Pittsburgh on gameday, prices are a different story and you could probably buy tickets in advance on Pitt's website.

Don't know if it's still a record, but the largest crowd ever at Heinz Field was ND's first game played there ever against Pitt when Willingham was the coach.

From what I'm reading on IE, I think your best opportunity to have a good experience would be going to Pittsburgh.

Matt Barkley is being interviewed by Erin Andrews on College Football Live and when asked where his favorite place to play was he said,"At Notre Dame." He cited the tradition, fans and the stadium being historical and not having a jumbotron as the reasons why. Said he loved how it was just "the stadium and the fans."

I know.....cool story, bro. I just figured I'd share that.

That is actually pretty cool. Was it favorite away game or overall?

Received the Hammes 2011 Sideline Collection catalog in the mail yesterday and they are taking orders on that jersey for August delivery. The also have a picture of it in the catalog, looks good to me and the shade of green is a lot brighter than I expected. Unfortunately, they don't have that catalog up online yet.

I received that catalog in the mail today. The jersey does look pretty damn cool.

P.S. Did Rock get booted from the site? No avatar or sig and it just says "Guest" under his username.

What could he have done to get bant from the OC????

(I'm on a different computer and don't feel like googling the accented U for Tobias)

..rumor has it Urban Meyer is favoring taking over at Texas or USC. I'd cry if he took the USC job.
  • sherm03
If Urban went to USC...that would solidify him as public enemy #1 in South Bend.

Please don't let that happen, Baby Jesus!
