Notre Dame Football 2011: The Brian Kelly Era...Ascends?
-
grodtAnd he's Irish
-
karen lotzMahone is IRISH
-
Tobias FünkeSadly he could get playing time as a true freshmen.
-
sherm03Love to hear that Mahone is taking his talents to South Bend next year!
-
sherm03Question Irish fans...
With all the issues in the punt return game this year, why isn't Bennett Jackson back there returning punts? Is he hurt? -
Tobias Fünke
I don't think he's hurt, but he wouldn't be near the top of the list.sherm03;917889 wrote:Question Irish fans...

A guy like McDaniel or Daniels would be who you'd want. -
sherm03
I guess I just figured since he returned kicks last year, and was named Special Teams player of the year...he wouldn't be a bad choice. As long as he holds onto the fucking ball, it's an upgrade.Tobias Fünke;917893 wrote:I don't think he's hurt, but he wouldn't be near the top of the list.

He can't fair catch like Goodman.sherm03;917889 wrote:Question Irish fans...

Seriously though, ND needs to get their punt return situation straightened out. Need a returner who'll most importantly field the punt, but also recognizes when to/not to call fair catch, and is a danger to break a big return. -
killer_ewokGreat news re: Mahone.

I think Goodman is being told to fair catch every punt.SJBlueJay20;917897 wrote:He can't fair catch like Goodman.

karen lotzJackson didn't return punts at all last year. He has been back on kickoff return a few times if I remember correctly. I think him and GAIII are the best combination there. Kelly said this week that Riddick is probably going to get another shot at punt return soon.

Tobias FünkeIf Brian Kelly wins all of these November games (a tall order), he would be the first Irish coach to have back-to-back perfect Novembers since KNUTE ROCKNE in 1929-1930.
That is insane.
That said, the Irish will more than likely be 3-1. -
TiernanMore likely 2 - 2 / very good chance Kelly will screw up the BC game and Stanford will be pulling kids from their band before that one is done.
-
sjmvsfscs08Kelly hasn't screwed up any game yet, and Boston College is pathetic. If you're predicting a loss there I'll bet any amount of money, avatars, and bans. Hell I'll give you 100 to 1 odds.

Since when did brian Kelly fumble the ball at the 1 and throw stupid interceptions and can't re act to a jump ball? -

A look inside Notre Dame's football complex. -

With that reasoning, he won't lose any games. Ever.Crimson streak;953764 wrote:Since when did brian Kelly fumble the ball at the 1 and throw stupid interceptions and can't re act to a jump ball? -

No he very clearly lost the Tulsa and Navy games last year.dlazz;955136 wrote:With that reasoning, he won't lose any games. Ever.
Good effort though.. -

According to two sources that wish to remain unnamed, Kiel will eventually make his intentions to attend Notre Dame public. “I’ll bet you 100-dollars right now that Kiel goes to Notre Dame,” one source close to Kiel stated without hesitation when asked where Kiel would eventually play his college football. The other source agreed wholeheartedly with the other source’s proclomation. One of the sources believed that Kiel would not go public with his final decision before his high school season concluded because of the playoffs and not taking away from the team by gaining individual attention with a college decision. -
Tobias FünkeYeah I would be shocked if he didn't pick Notre Dame.
-
dlazzHe'd be stupid to not pick a team that plays a soft schedule every year. He'll put up monumental numbers against Navy/Air Force/etc.
-
Tobias Fünke
Yeah he should play for a team that starts out with MAC teams and Colorado, and then Indiana, etc.dlazz;974103 wrote:He'd be stupid to not pick a team that plays a soft schedule every year. He'll put up monumental numbers against Navy/Air Force/etc.
Plus you should know that Air Force in on the schedule one time over the next five years. So even if he stayed all five, he'd play them once. Good call facts chief. #dlazzfactsfail
