You say that but have you seen him in the past 9 years? he looks like he's aged like 20.. he looks like a kid in the 2002 national championship game and now he's grampa tress

That's what happens to a man going from his 40's to his 50's it seems

Tressel more than likely finished 3rd this year behind Wisconsin's coach too.. idk his name but i know he better have gotten it before Tressel
for crissakes, gibby-I thought you said you were going to take a week off from posting....you can change names, but we can always sniff out a moron :D

in today's Blade--I know TP won't read it, but he should:

    End Zone: OSU 12-01
    By MATT MARKEY
    BLADE SPORTS WRITER

Monday night, the Big Ten’s football awards were announced, and Terrelle Pryor immediately expressed displeasure with the choices via cyber graffiti. The league’s coaches picked Northwestern’s Dan Persa and Wisconsin’s Scott Tolzien as the top two quarterbacks, while the media chose Michigan’s Denard Robinson and Persa. Both groups named Robinson the top offensive player. The Ohio State quarterback’s response to the selections was to Tweet: “Damn I must be the worst QB/player. I might quit football.”

Via Twitter, which people seem to use as the restroom walls of the 1970s to scribble their gripes, Pryor recently called former OSU quarterback Kirk Herbstreit “a fake Buckeye” after the ESPN analyst was mildly critical of Ohio State.

Terrelle, there’s no whining in baseball, or in football. You’re starting to sound like that dopey and chronically complaining boyfriend on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. You bang the drum constantly about being a leader, but the best quarterbacks are tough and unflappable, and they don’t bellyache over petty matters. They also don’t throw into triple coverage.

Great players are great decisionmakers, and great team guys. These Twitter shots put your judgment into question and harm you, and your team. Next time, before you hit the Tweeter button, consider ... what would Archie do. If you’re not sure, just ask him — he’s on campus. He won the Heisman twice, and the only thing he ever expressed was humility.

I'm not going to bash TP because he is our MVP and by far is the best player, but I just keep waiting for him to take that next step. I'm not sure when we are going to see it. I mean, he's going to be a senior next season. Where has the progression been? I sort of blame Tress, they are trying to make him John Elway when he is clearly another Cam Newton. Man I wish Malzahn was calling our plays...

I might give that a bit more credibility if it weren't the Blade.

For the record: I think Twitter is pretty much one of the sewers of modern society, and I wish players didn't use it at all because it allows people to vent emotionally without thinking first.

However, Pryor probably gets a worse rap than deserved simply because he's been unable to meet the unreal expectations most of us had for him when he first set foot on campus.

Good quick read. TP has to know that everything he says is magnified, even on Twitter. Sometimes you just have to accept it and not publicly complain about it. No question he still lacks maturity in that aspect, even though he's made great leaps over the last couple years.

I agree. No doubt he's a great player, but sometimes you have to wonder why he hasn't progressed as much as he probably should have. I think a lot of it has to do with what you're talking about, trying to make him into something he's not. Doing that just robs him of his freakish God given talents. IMO, he could be so much better than Cam Newton, but he doesn't play in a system that gets the most out of his athletic ability. I also think having a 2nd rate QB coach doesn't help, IMO. Daniels was a good one, but they really dropped the ball by giving the job to Siciliano.

Another argument on why he should have went to Michigan lol

^^^you're right about one thing, and that's the "lol"

^^he'd fit in Michigan's program alot better thats all i'm sayin.. He'd have killer stats like Denard Robinson too and OSU could have a pocket QB that their offense needs

TP has said he wants to become a pro style QB. That WON'T happen at Michigan.

It seems to be working out pretty well at OSU too lol..

He's become a better passer in his 2+ years here then he would have ever become at Michigan.

I'm not saying he's great by any means.

he'll have a better chance of being an nfl qb than newton or robinson, thats for sure.
  • clickclickboom
Well i guess he has made a lot of progress considering his freshman year he had no idea how to throw a football.. seriously he was terrible... i have a little respect for him now just don't think he will ever be a pro style QB he'll probably end up fighting for a spot to start somewhere like Minnesota or something. i could see them drafting him in the second round

Robinson I agree with, Newton I think will have a good shot, especially if he comes out this year before he plays another year and something in his game is exposed.

No chance Pryor would go in the second round as he is right now.
  • clickclickboom
Newton will be just like Tebow.. he doesnt throw that good of a ball and in the NFL thats all that matters.. well that and studying your ass off and not finding anything funny..

    You saying first round?
  • wildcats20
Pryor is at the highest a 3rd rounder right now. Unless some team wants to take him as an athlete.

If he continues to improve and has a really good year next year, IMO, he would jump up to the late 1st.
  • karen lotz
    clickclickboom;585399 wrote:You saying first round?
    No.
  • clickclickboom
I see i see.. well i could still see someone taking a chance on him sooner. if he has a great year next year he'll probably be picked top 10 he's got good size and speed so if he can throw a good ball NFL teams will be jumpin at him
  • clickclickboom
    karen lotz;585413 wrote:No.

Good if you were i woulda been real ticked.. of course i said early 2nd round what do i know?
  • karen lotz
He has good size and speed yes, but until he improves at being a quarterback, he isn't going to be a top 10 pick. He will be a project and NFL teams don't draft projects that early. Tebow was projected in the 3rd round or later and for whatever reason McDaniels thought he was a steal at 24th or whatever. He is being murdered for that pick and is now on the hot seat after being the biggest thing going early last year.
