That didn't do anything for them....people still don't give them any respect -

And while you mention it, Society, why do you keep calling me the waiter from Applebees? I have never worked at Applebees. I've hardly ever eaten at Applebees! What is your problem with me? You seem to have some sort of personal vendetta that I don't understand.
And weren't you banned recently? What happened to that?
I think he confused you with Big Mirg -

Maybe, because he's called me a waiter at Applebees several times. Last week he also accused me of being a pedophile and claimed that I was raped by my uncle as a child. All of which is also not true. -
se-alumI doubt Society can actually spell his own name, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

se-alumMy thoughts on the game. Sanz and Posey had poor games. Too many drops for a team that wants to be in a BCS game. You're aren't always gonna be able to get away with those sort of plays. The defense won it for us tonight. Even after some terrible calls(PI on Chekwa, defenseless receiver on Hines) they were able to control the Hawkeye offense. Movin' on, it's Michigan week, my favorite time of the year!!

I think Sanzenbacher played pretty well besides that one drop. He did make that huge catch on the sidelines and had over 100 yards receiving. -
FatHobbitNo qb throws the ball perfect every time. No receiver catches every pass. There were bad calls and dropped balls, but the bucks still got the win at Iowa. I'll take it. Now let's get ready for Michigan!

^What does that even mean?
The defensive receiver penalty on Hines was not a bad call. It only appeared that way at first, but it was definitely a penalty. -

When was Herbstreit bashing OSU? Pryor also said something about his haters couldn't fill his shoes with 10 pairs of socks on.@TPeezy2: Heard Kirk herbstreit was dogging us. He a fake buckeye. Fake as hell -

Yeah, but he never drops a pass so him dropping one is really like dropping 3. The whole team had a case of the drops tonight. It's one thing if one player has an off night and drops a few balls, but tonight every receiver dropped a catchable ball at some point. -

he should be able to do it..he takes more heat than any player in the country. -

If beating Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl "didn't do anything for them", what makes your simple mind think a win against another Top 10 program would do anything? -
Manhattan Buckeye"And yes, VT did lose to James Madison, but they also haven't lost since. "
I don't think that should be discounted. If Ohio St. lost to a I-AA team (or FCS team, whatever it is called), Mark May and company would mention it for the next 20 years.
Vippy Sue shouldn't get a pass for it. They lost to James freaking Madison at home. -

I'm not saying that it should be discounted, but VT shouldn't be completely dismissed because of one loss that happened in the second week of the season. We need to remember that they lost to James Madison, but we also need to realize that they've won nine consecutive games since then and are undefeated in conference.Manhattan Buckeye;569755 wrote:"And yes, VT did lose to James Madison, but they also haven't lost since. krambmanI'm wondering how it is that Kirk Ferentz has been named Big Ten Coach of the Year three times and Jim Tressel (who is 7-1 against Ferentz, has won six conference championships, and has won a National Championship and a Rose Bowl) has never been named BTCOTY? How is that even possible?

Remember last year when that writer had Tressel as the 4th best coach in the Big Ten behind Ferentz, Rich Rod, and Jo Pa -

I think it's because OSU gets all the recruits and they are saying that other coaches do more with less. (and sometimes I think they do) But you have to think Tressel would have been good for at least a couple of coach of the year awards in there somewhere. -

True, but isn't recruiting part of coaching at the college level? I understand the rationale of doing more with less, or Tressel not getting it because his team finishes ranked lower than they started (although that's going to happen more often than not when you start in the top 5 every year). But when you win five straight Big Ten titles and six overall (soon to be six and seven), when you've gone to seven BCS bowl games and won four, and when you've won a national championship you think you might get some love as the best coach in your conference at least once! And heck, he's won multiple national coach of the year awards while at OSU (in 2002 and 2006). You'd think that if he was the best coach in the country that he'd also be the best coach in the conference.
