Not a chance....and Pryor, who admittedly made a couple of key plays, is still overrated. Just sayin'......Fly4Fun;567985 wrote:Can believer now please stay off OSU threads.
The guy is by far the most negative OSU fan ever. -
darbypitcher22we survive... have a chance if we take care of business next week.
Michigan State is 0-8 all time iin Happy Valley, so that would put us in a two-way tie.
Northwestern needs to play the game of its life -

That was obviously Ferentz's plan. Make Pryor throw a lot of passes. There was always 8 players in the box except for obvious passing downs. His plan almost worked since the Ohio State receivers stunk up the place.HighRoller74;568017 wrote:So who was it that guaranteed the loss if Pryor passed over 12 times? -

You are unbelievable! How anyone can say Pryor is overrated after that game is clinically insane! -
killer_ewokKudos to the Bucks. I thought Iowa would win this game. I'm not shocked by the result. But I am impressed.

Just saying ignorantly. If Ohio State receivers don't drop 8 passes Ohio State wins easily and Pryor's stats look great. He can't throw 'em and catch 'em both -
osu45804Ohio State becomes the first team in Big Ten history to win at least 10 games in six consecutive seasons.

Agree. The issue is, its all about expectations set by..no other then media and fans. He has a year to play and people are calling him a failure. He has an unbelievable won/lost record. Will shatter every OSU record there is. Has one BCS win already, possibly another one with another year to play. People are FOOLS who are already saying shit about him. He may make them look like shit before its all said and done. Is he great? No. But he is very good no matter what you think. His stats speak for themselves (top 10 nationally), and his won loss record speaks for itself. All in black and white. -

Time for you to become a Bucks fan.killer_ewok;568048 wrote:Kudos to the Bucks. I thought Iowa would win this game. I'm not shocked by the result. But I am impressed. -

Nah, Killer Ewok is a legit ND fan... I'd lose respect for him if he became a bandwagon fan and dropped ND. -
Big GainTo play in a BCS Bowl.
Ohio State could be the first 11-1 team ranked in the Top 8 of the BCS Poll and not to play in a BCS bowl. A 3 loss team from the ACC and a 3 loss team from the Big East takes preference over a 2nd place 11-1 Big Ten team. -
royal_kYou could easily add another 120 yards to TP's passing stats. I don't know how anyone can question his ability and desire after today. He was a man on that final drive.
Bring on Meatchicken! -
killer_ewok
Thanks and yeah, that's not gonna happen. No matter how bad things are or how awful they get......I'll always be an ND fan.Fly4Fun;568069 wrote:Nah, Killer Ewok is a legit ND fan... I'd lose respect for him if he became a bandwagon fan and dropped ND.
As much as I dislike OSU.....I can be fairly objective when discussing them (at least I think I so). They overcame some questionable calls today and found a way to beat a pretty darn good team on the road. That was impressive. It will be interesting to see how this whole Big Ten tie-BCS standings thing shakes itself out. -
BRFWhoa ho! I have been wrapped up with HS football but just wanted to pop on here and say....WTG Buckeyes!
I see that the infamous thread starter Leonardo started THIS thread. And how many posts has he had since then? I shall check.
Edit: 4 posts out of 700. Nice job. Do you even care that the Buckeyes won or are you just so wrapped up in thread starting? -

For Ohio State to play in a BCS Bowl.Pick6;567976 wrote:for what?
Don't need MSU to lose, but must have Wisconsin lose.
Ohio State could be the first 11-1 team from a BCS Conference ranked in the Top Eight of the final BCS Poll not to play in a BCS Bowl Game. Due to the fact that a 3 loss 1st place ACC team and a 3 loss 1st place Big East team must take preference over a 2nd place Big Ten team.
If Wisconsin beats Northwestern they will go to the Rose Bowl since they beat Ohio State. If Wisconsin loses and MSU and OSU wins they are tied, but Ohio State will be ranked ahead of MSU in the BCS Poll and therefore would go to the Rose Bowl. -

Correct, dropping a go-ahead TD pass is never a good thing, but good came out of it because we still scored the go-ahead TD and we ran a few more minutes off of the clock. -

If you think OSU finishes the season 11-1 and does NOT get invited to a BCS game as an at-large, you do not know how at-larges are selected. -

UNDEFEATED Boise State and TCU. Both higher ranked than Ohio State in the Final BCS Poll, who many think are better than any team in the country. -
jordo212000Little game Posey almost cost us big time. The dude hardly ever steps up in big game situations... If we could play Minnesota every week he would be the top pick in the draft haha
Nice win though, definitely not easy to win in Iowa City -
SportsAndLadyBig Gain;568119 wrote:Boise State and TCU.
What about them?
The at-large teams are selected by whoever the venue WANTS, as long as they're in the top 16 in the BCS. You think the Sugar Bowl people would take Texas Christian's money over Ohio State's money? -
krambman
Or South Carolina. And I'm pretty sure that Alabama is out of the mix with two losses. They would need to beat Auburn and then have them lose to USC and they would also need Arkansas to beat LSU.slingshot4ever;568026 wrote:So assuming Wisky beats NW and OSU beats UM these are the two possibilities:
Sugar Bwol vs SEC (Auburn, Alalabma, LSU)
Orange Bowl vs ACC (Va Tech)
We wouldn't go to Rose because Wisky would be there. Fiesta would get last pick and be stuck putting Pittsburg (Big East winner) against Big XII champ.
In other news, OSU has now become the first team in Big Ten history to win at least 10 games in six consecutive seasons. It's a little less impressive because you have more games in a season now, but impressive none the less.
With a win next week they will also tie their own conference record of six consecutive conference championships, a feat likely to never be repeated or bettered since the Big Ten will have a championship game beginning next season. -

They'll make it in all likelihood, but it is a joke that it comes to this and us fans need to "hope" they get in and brag about the money we can bring to the table. Should have taken care of business on the field. Playing groggy in a big game against Wisconsin was just a complete head scratcher for me. -

and OSU will bring in more $$ than either of those 2 schools. -

And only the higher ranked of them is guaranteed a BCS spot, the other one will need to be selected by a BCS bowl as an at-large. The bowls don't care about fairness, they care about money, and neither one of those teams will bring in as much money as Stanford, OSU, and LSU will. And don't complain that it's not fair because before the BCS neither of those teams would have had the opportunity to play in any of the four BCS bowl games and likely would have ended up playing sometime in late December. The BCS gives them the opportunity to qualify for a major bowl.
What should happen is the Big East should admit how awful they are and how undeserving they are of a BCS bowl birth this year and let all five of these teams (Boise, TCU, OSU, LSU, and Stanford) play in BCS bowls. They really need to put in some rule that your conference champion must win 9 games or be ranked in the top 16 or 25 or something in the final BCS bowl or they lose their automatic bid for that year and can only get in if a bowl chooses them as an at-large. This year no bowl will take the Big East champion unless they have to. -

Yeah they did not show up, but Wisconsin is a great football team. It's not like we lost to some inferior team.
