Okay, on this play you are going to take the snap and run right, realize that you are going to get hit quickly because the line isn't very good and pitch the ball to the RB. Oh yeah, occassionaly you are going to hand the ball off to the FB.
But that opinion is probably just based off of if i have to watch a team run the ball more than 30% of their offenseve plays I fall asleep.
How does that make the Quarterback "unnecessary"? -
CinciX12Alright fine, not unnecessary. How about I could go find someone on Vine St in Cincinnati that could do it as well? It doesn't require skill other than intellgence to see the play develop, kind of.

If that's the case why wouldn't said person on Vine Street take the job of the starting QB at Georgia Tech seeing how Paul Johnson instilled this offense at Navy and is now running it at GT?CinciX12;527304 wrote:... What do you mean by kind of? -

The Navy QB ended last year with 1,203 rushing yards on 315 carries, while attaining 1,031 yards passing.CinciX12;527291 wrote:...

Through 6 games this year he has 657 yds passing and only 379 yds rushing.
Seems pretty balanced to me.
Does tOSU run more than 30% of the time?
Does Notre Dame? -
rock_knutneMike Floyd says he's playing Saturday. Doesn't know how much but he's definitely going to play:

Now I wonder what BK has to say about it -

He said he will be a game time decision but that he also thinks Floyd should be able to give them something on Saturday. He is supposed to practice a little bit today. -
karen lotzKelly said Floyd "looked pretty good" in limited work at practice today.
-
grodtGood to hear, but I hope he doesn't rush it. We need him healthy for whole year, not just this week
-
rock_knutne^^^^^LOL, imagine that prediction coming from you.
-
sjmvsfscs08But you're also a gym teacher so you should shut the fuck up. Go back to your Ohio State threads.
Bennett Jackson returns a kick to the house--you can take it to the bank.Navy ranks 118th in kickoff return defense, allowing nearly 29 yards each time the ball is teed up. Not surprisingly, Niumatalolo isn't happy about that statistic.
"That is an area of major, major concern, and we are looking at personnel, looking at schemes," he said. "Football is about field position, and we can't let teams consistently start at the 40- and 45-yard line." -
Con_AlmaSince 2003, Navy owns a 17-20 (.459) record against schools from a BCS conference and an impressive 48-11 record (.814) against non-BCS foes. Navy's 17 BCS wins since 2003 are tied with Utah for the most during that time span by a non-BCS school.
Head coach Ken Niumatalolo is 16-5 (.762) against non-BCS squads and 6-7 (.462) against teams from a BCS conference.
Navy's 17 wins against BCS schools since 2003 have come against Vanderbilt (`03, `04), Duke (`04, `05, `06, `07), Rutgers (`04, `08), Stanford (`06), Connecticut (`06), Pitt (`07), Notre Dame (`07, `09), Wake Forest (`08, `09, `10), and Missouri (`09).
Navy has beaten at least one BCS opponent in eight-consecutive years, which is the second-longest active streak in the country by a non-BCS school. TCU has had at least one BCS win in nine-consecutive seasons.
Navy (vs. Missouri), BYU (vs. Oregon State) and Utah (vs. Cal) were the only non-BCS schools to beat a BCS school in a bowl game in 2009. -
SpeedofsandI'm watching 2 Daytona Beach kids for Navy vs ND. Navy LBs Aaron McCauley is from Seabreeze and Caleb King from Warner Christian, the #1 school in the smallest division here.
-
sjmvsfscs08Jesus! Wisconsin is to Ohio State as Navy is to Notre Dame right now. Getting to the second level and tying up the linebackers. Adjustments are needed. But boy are these cut blocks annoying.
I assume Armando Allen is benched again due to injury, Cierre Wood from here on out today? -
Speedofsand14-3 Navy, that was a huge drive.
-
karen lotzGame over. Can't have 2 drives like that on offense and come away with only 3 points, not with the guys ND has injured on offense.
-
karen lotzI also very much dislike CBS. Between every single play they have some stupid little "feature." How about learning players names and getting a clue before you try to get fancy.
-
karen lotzThat was a HUUUUUUUGE conversion and drive. Hopefully the D wakes the fuck up and gets one stop.
-
sjmvsfscs08haha Karen chill, Notre Dame's strength and conditioning will give them an edge in the second half. Navy won't be able to maintain this level of play. But that interception doesn't help anything, it's apparent only Jones and Kamara can play ball, Notre Dame needs Floyd and Riddick.
CBS is fucking terrible. Soooooo many commercials because of all of the running killing the clock. -
sjmvsfscs0821-10 at half? Notre Dame needs a get check at half.
-
SpeedofsandTD Navy. Dayum
-
brutus161I'm lovin' this.
-
karen lotzIt will be 28-10 with 6 minutes to go in the 3rd.
-
sherm03Harrison Smith is the worst player to ever put on a Notre Dame jersey.
I wish he would transfer, or quit.
Fucking embarrassing! -
karen lotzZeke Motta begs to differ.
