Ohio State has faced one ranked Big Ten team, really the "toughest conference in the country?" They don't even play Michigan State this season during the only year Michigan State is actually choke-free.
Name a better conference.
Before you say the SEC, the alleged super conference, remember who has won not only more games head to head in their entire history, but more games head to head in the BCS era.
I can't help it that the media swallows the load of mediocrity and drops Big Ten schools while boosting up the rankings of marginal at best SEC schools. Michigan State would get stomped by OSU, and OSU isn't even going to get out of the conference unscathed. That right there shows the power of the conference, and any given week you can lose(except to Minnesota). -
sleeperOh yeah, enjoy your bowl loss LOL

Pick6sjmvsfscs08;532323 wrote:"Started," as in, past tense. Everyone thinks they suck now, which simply isn't true. They lost in OT to 8-0 #8 Utah, got stomped by a solid Miami team, and played an even game with Notre Dame. All were out of conference games, now that they're in the Big East schedule they're cruising. They'll probably finish 9-3, and around 15.
Fair enough, but atleast you admit Miami is a solid team even though you are partial OSU fan. Every other hater on here says Miami is overrated because OSU beat them -

I think there was more talk about how Miami improved so much from last bowl season until the time they played OSU. Not that Miami was trash necessarily, just that they were suddenly a great team. -

I agree with that. Ohio State basically beat the shit out of them that day, albeit terrible special teams.
The SEC definitely. Arguably the Big XII. Possibly the Pac-10, although I'd say they're pretty even.sleeper;532367 wrote:Name a better conference. -
athlete37Yup, the same Michigan St team that hammered Wisconsin would get stomped by Ohio State... The same Ohio State that Wisconsin ran all over...

Or the Oregon team that beat Purdue and crushed USC last year..both of which beat OSU last year.. I guess Oregon was going to kill us right? I get so annoyed by people trying to compare scores. IF OSU plays there best ball, they are capable of beating anyone in the country.
Karen, I think Miami will end up about right where they started (top 15) and will win the ACC in a rematch with FSU -

I dunno, Va Tech is starting to roll at little bit. I do think the winner of Miami/Va Tech will win the conference championship.l -

He said Michigan State would get stomped by Ohio State... Find it hard to believe after MSU outgained Wisconsin 444-292 yardwise, 36:24-23:36 TOP, and won by ten points (in a game that wasn't that close) despite losing the TO battle 3-0...Wisconsin pretty much took it to Ohio State... Not sure why anyone would think OSU would stomp MSU... -
sleeperGot to love ND fans talking shit. When's the last time you've beaten a team HALF AS GOOD as Miami, or Wisconsin, or really anyone worth a damn? I mean I know you had a close loss to USC, but keep your mouth shut and enjoy your bowl loss.
Better luck next year, right? I already can't wait until you go 6-6 again. -

0311sdpFlorida State is the best ACC team, (right now) could change as the season goes. Notre Dame still has a long ways to go, probably a 7-5 team this season, QB play not very consistant. Ohio State has not looked as good as predicted, (yet) I think their talent at the skill positions is questionable (not Pryor) Defense also is over rated. Best conference, hard to say I would rate the SEC, Big Ten and PAC 10 all about even this year with the Big 12 just a little behind. The ACC and Big East are not very good, on par with the WAC and MOuntain West. Oregon appears to be the best team (this week) but in 6 weeks who knows. I think Auburn is not very good and will lose a couple games down the road (I still say Cam Newton is Jamarcus Russell) Strange season with a long ways to go.

Con_AlmaCBS College Sports Network will air this game again on at 12 noon and 10:30 PM on Thursday and at 8:00 PM on Friday.
CBS College Sports Network, the broadcast home of U.S. service academy football, is also honoring the Armed Forces and service academies, Army, Navy and Air Force, with ARMED FORCES SALUTE week, Monday, Oct. 25 - Sunday, Oct. 31. The Network's ARMED FORCES SALUTE week features wall-to-wall special programming dedicated to the service academies, highlighted by a tripleheader of games on Saturday, Oct. 30: Virginia Military Institute at Army (NOON, PM, ET), Duke at Navy (3:30 PM, ET) and Utah at Air Force (7:30 PM, ET).
They do this every year. I love watching inside the Academy football specials. They follow a couple players at each Academy through a typical week.
