believerI was impressed with Michigan State's win over Wisky. Michigan's attack is decidedly one-sided but they will be playing in the Bigger House.

ptown_trojans_1I'm actually kind of excited for this game. I'll be rooting for Sparty, and want to see Robinson against a real defense for once.
I can see Sparty winning in a shootout, as Counsins and Bell is a little more than Robinson. Plus, Michigan has no, no defense. -
dwccrewIT'll be interesting to see what Robinson can do against a much better defense. I think the best defense Robinson has faced is Notre Dame, which is not really saying all that much. Michigan being so 1 dimensional (Robinson is all they have and he struggled throwing the deep ball yesterday) on offense and having absolutely no defense, I see MSU winning this one in the Big House without their head coach at the helm.
MSU 38

haha....sadly, this may be pretty accurate.
At the beginning of the year...who would have thought that this would be a BIG game?! I will take MSU by a field goal. -
Mohican00I don't know about this one......I'd like to think that a fundamentally more sound team (MSU) won't get beat by a guy playing like Randall Cunningham in Tecmo Bowl.
MSU by 7 -
Hb31187What i dont get... how is michigan 1 dimensional and OSU isnt? Denard has 7 less passing yards than Pryor. And as a team OSU has less passing yards than Michigan

Come on, you really don't understand why Michigan would be considered 1 dimensional on here?
-
Hb31187Lol yeah i suppose. But when a team averages more passing and rushing yards than you do...hard to honestly believe that said team is 1 dimensional and you aren't

Tiger2003This is going to be a fun game to watch. If Michigan State can go on some of those long drives and keep Robinson off the field I have a good feeling Sparty can pull this out.

I understand, I just know how these threads can spiral out of control! I don't think one dimensional is the right term, as UM usually has alot of rushing & passing yardage. However, it's a one man show, they go as Denard goes. TP is certainly critical to OSU's offense, but the defense has the ability to keep the team in the game if need be.Hb31187;506126 wrote:Simply replying to someone spewing nonsense above me -

Good call. I think ball control and trying to force Robinson to throw the ball down the field are the best ways to beat UM. You can't let him throw 275yds worth of screen passes.Tiger2003;506135 wrote:This is going to be a fun game to watch. Agree, right now the best route for Michigan is the bubble screen, not taking anything away from them. They will go to the inside WR on a streak down the middle as well but that is after they have the secondary coming up on the read option. -
Trueblue23Sadly, I think this is where we suffer our 1st loss this year.
GO BLUE!!! -

darbypitcher22Go Sparty!
I really like Michigan State, they were very physical against Wisconsin, which is saying something because Wisconsin year in and year out is one of the more physical teams in the Big Ten. If they can defend Robinson (which, the way to do that is to ram it down Michigan's throat and keep him off the field), I think they win it -
Cleveland BuckI highly doubt Denard plays the whole game, he will be knocked out for at least part of it. Michigan will score some points, but Michigan State has the best pair of running backs in the conference and they should have a big day. This is one Michigan State should win, and if they do I could see them winning 11 games this year.

Swamp FoxMichigan isn't all the way back yet, but it seems that people are seriously considering what MSU will have to do to actually beat this Michigan team. It didn't take RR all that long did it? Ohio State will have an actual opponent this year in "The Game". And of course, if Michigan should win, the Tressel haters will climb out from under their rocks and regurgitate their time worn complaints and crawl back under their rocks until next year's game.

Hb31187Michigan is gonna lose by about 10 im guessing. I think the D does better than against indiana however. Although not stellar against either rush or pass, theyre def better against the rush(which isnt sayin much)

sounds about right, since UM beat ND on the road and MSU needed a fake field goal in OT to beat ND... that having been said, MSU opening up at +4.5 is making my eyes light up right now. Almost like a 50 spot on ND -3 at BCccrunner609;506449 wrote:I know UM hasnt played anyone, their D is fucking horrible and MSU is real good. -
