"Shoe not intimidating", so says Florida Sun-Sentinel

LHSGUY35You are right Clemson is as loud as anywhere. These people on this board need to travel a bit and know there's football outside the Big 10. They get made when you go to places and actually base judgment on witnessing it for yourself. LSU, South Carolina, Clemson, Penn State all get up there. OSU needs to pick an endzone to put all its students like Penn State does. PSU by far the best student section in the country.
-
ohiotiger33Exactly, they would be insane if they did that. All Clemson student sit together in one corner. Plus, we allow re entry, so everyone drinks as much as they can in the 15 min halftime. Makes for a rowdy second half.

LOL--you're good for this site, LHS, 'cause you provide much needed comic relief--thank you -

Yeah, because so many guys on the team now were at the game in Clemson in 2005. -
sleeperClemson? Really? Clemson would get ABSOLUTELY stomped by Ohio State, in every way. Please don't ever bring Clemson into a discussion ever again.

LHSGUY35We're talking about crowd noise

SpeedofsandHere is my example of loud. I want the Shoe to be this loud against Miami. This was one of the loudest moments ever, along with the entire '97 FSU/Florida game and the 1979 Daytona 500 last lap when Richard Petty beat Waltrip and AJ Foyt after the 2 leaders crashed and got into a fist fight.

ohiotiger33Clemson is 1-0 vs Ohio state all time. Woody Hayes punched a player and then got fired after the game...
Isn't Ohio State also winless against our arch rival, whom we have beaten 8 of the last 10 years?
I have been to about the same amount of OSU home games as Clemson. OSU may be more intimidating of a venue, but it isn't quite as consistently loud, mostly due to all the old people sitting close to the field. -

LOL
Wow, and I thought ND fans were the worst fans in America. This is like Akron being like "ya, we could beat Ohio State because we did it before".
I'd take Ohio State -28 against Clemson, go ahead and call your AD, I'll call mine, and let's get it done! -
ohiotiger33Lol now I remember why I don't respond to your posts usually. Your idea of logic is ridiculous. -28? Alright, beat Miami by that much at home and maybe you would have a shot against us. We took Miami at their place last season.
You should travel to other stadiums too, many many are louder than the shoe; they don't optimize seating for loudness there, because of the boosters.
You shouldn't throw stones from your glass house when talking about the worst fans in america, dude. I grew up an OSU fan, and have pretty good perspective having viewed football from all over the place, you obviously are the biggest homer for a team I have ever seen.
For the record, I would take OSU by 14 over Clemson. -
sleeperClemson is a mediocre program in one of the worst conferences in America, and you think they have a chance of losing by ONLY 14 to Ohio State?
Delusional. Well at least you're getting a top notch education, right? Right? ... LOL -
ohiotiger33Simply stated, Miami will not be all that intimidated by the venue. They play intimidating venues on a regular basis.
That is not to say that the shoe is not intimidating. It is, especially at night. It is more intimidating because of the team history, and the fact that people rarely win there. But you have to imagine that they are more confident as the last two big OOC teams came into the shoe and beat OSU (Texas and USC). -
ohiotiger33We are virturally tied with OSU in the US news and world report numb nuts. OSU is T-56th with 7 schools, and Clemson is two "places" back at T-64th. In fact, just one year ago, the two schools actually were tied in the US News and World report rankings. You are a straight idiot. Can't ignore you fast enough. Clemson got me where I wanted to go, which was Graduate School. I will be attending Texas, Florida, or Georgetown's PR school next year (my worthless Clemson degree was apparently good enough for them to give me interviews, I should let them know that they should take them back). I worked AT Ohio State for Gordon Gee in his pr office recently, why did the OSU people give me a job? Wow, they must be idiots.
Clemson is about the 22nd or so most prestigious football program in terms of titles and winning percentage. Slightly better than mediocre. But I don't expect you to understand. -
Speedofsandsleeper;476874 wrote:Clemson is a mediocre program in one of the worst conferences in America,
if that is true and they beat Miami away last year, what does that make Miami ? OSU should win by 35, right ?
sleeper = the most delusional homer ever -

And I find him hilarious. -
ohiotiger33Lol I know, I definitely went for the bait. If he truly believes what he says, then that would be unreal.

Agreed. -
ptown_trojans_1Loudest I've been to was 2006 OSU Michigan, good lord was that loud. The crowd was so loud, you could not hear Michigan's ban march the Block M across the field.
Agreed with Texas in 2005, that was loud as well.
Although, another mention was the 2004 OSU v. Michigan game where Teddy returned that punt for a TD. -

slingshot4everThe longest game I have attended was the Texas game in 05 (particularly after Santonio Holmes TD). It was louder than the 2002 Michigan game which I also attended.
-
karen lotzThe longest game I attended was the 3 overtime game against NC State in 03. What does that have to do with anything?
