Shenanigans. Are we really supposed to believe that you jetset all over the country watching college football games??LHSGUY35;476015 wrote:Actually been to the shoe over 25 times in my life. Been to many college football facilities more so than you have. Student section is no where near as unified as it is at Penn State, LSU or South Carolina. Sorry i bade it against venues I've actually been at and consider louder than Ohio State with my own two ears. This week I'm going to the Georgia South Carolina game. Next Thursday I will be at the Pitt Miami game. Sorry to say it but you're pwned! -
vball10set^^^LOL....and don't forget coaching a high school football team, recruiting for YSU, etc....

johngrizzlyI think The Shoe is getting better at its loudness.
Lets face it, we've had centarians sitting in those seats for years. They are worried about being offensive, worrying about bothering the people sitting beside them, listening to the radio broadcast, etc.
Now those people are dying off (RIP) which means some younger blood is taking their place. -

Yea I'm going to photoshop pictures of a football game. You're a morn sounds like some jealousy I'm going to the SEC on Fri/Sat -
LJLoudest place I have ever been was at the OSU vs Texas game in 2005 at the Shoe and OSU scored a TD and I was yelling and turned to look at my BIL and he was yelling right in my face and I couldn't hear his voice over the crowd. Now that is loud.

When Hawk got that pick. WOW.
My guess is LHS caught a YSU game at the Shoe. Blazin hot and the game is over before it starts. -

What's also neat is seeing someone's face the first time they are in the stadium for an O-H-I-O. The 2 sidelines, it's insane hearing that many people at once -

LMAO--yeah, I'm a "morn"--you sure got me pegged :rolleyes:LHSGUY35;476240 wrote:Yea I'm going to photoshop pictures of a football game. You're a morn sounds like some jealousy I'm going to the SEC on Fri/Sat
anyway, have fun at "the game", and make sure you take plenty of pictures, 'cause we'd all just love to see them--right Chatterers ?? -
LJalso, i'd like to add, nothing is "intimidating" compared to PSU in 2005 during the PSU vs OSU game.

Was that the game that the Penn State crowd threw bottles of piss at the band? I think that would intimidate or rather incite me a little bit... -

Yeah, that was the game where everyone was like "wait, Penn State thinks OSU is their rival.....huh...." -
karen lotzI think that was the first game I really heard that Zombie Nation song over the loudspeakers at a sporting event. Penn State does a pretty good job with their white outs.

drinking for 3 days straight in Paternoville will make a crowd nuts -
Hb31187Bottom line is this is not that big of a deal. It sounds to me like chest thumping OSU fans cant believe that someone called their home stadium not intimidating.

You're right its not. I just get irked by so called journalists who talk out of their ass and pass off their opinions as facts..... especially with the moron has never stepped foot in the Shoe. -

Everyone on here talks out of their ass and passes their opinion as fact. Granted we aren't getting paid for it but I'm sure if one of us said the same things as that writer, the outcome would be the same. -
AutomatikYour point? Its a forum....we discuss things....it happens.
-
karen lotzOk then, so no need for everyone to get riled up about it. That's my point.

There's a big difference between someone passing off their opinion as if it's fact on here than an actual journalist doing it in print (or on their paper's official website). That's what has me so upset about it. Not what he said, but the fact that he's a professional journalist. -
ohiotiger33Miami has seen loud before boys. 2005 Miami v. Clemson was NUTS. Start this video at about 3:00 minute mark with the volume up. The beginning quotes are good too. Believe me, they know hostile.
