  Yep, he had 3 of his best games against those teams. What better way to pad stats than against the 69th, 79th, and 94th ranked rushing defense teams he did not face

  Most ANY player, great, avg or whatever does better and PAD stats against lessor competition. So that is not unusual at all. Just part of how the law of averages works out.
  
  As for the RB situation....Saine is without question the best/experienced back overall. He is a very good receiver out of the backfield as well and has the breakaway speed that Herron lacks. I like Herron for the "tough yards" and he does tend to get better as the game goes. I am not a fan of the RB by committee...but it worked last year, and I expect to see it again this year. OSU doesn't have that big back they have had in the past. I am anxious to see Berry and I like what I have seen in Hall as well. Good to have this depth. And the competition will only push them all to get better.

  Are you trying to defend his poor yards per carry by saying he didn't get to play against some of the worst defenses on the schedule? It is what it is. He averaged 3.9 ypc, which just isn't considered to be very good by most standards.

  I'm not trying to defend his actual ypc for the season - it is what it is. However, I feel that if he had played in the three games he missed against subpar rushing defenses, he would have improved his overall average. IMO
