Why would that be annoying?......and thanks!thePITman wrote: Good job on your opening night win, Orrville.
BRF, I hope this simple message of congratulations is not "annoying."
Well, I see the Daily Record is at it again. They have Wasson scoring 25, BUT my own eyes saw the scorebook AND the Beacon Journal backs it up at 27.
RR1: There were plenty of seats available, along with many who have reserved seats that didn't show up. Shelby had a medium sized, but very vocal, student section. I would call it a good turnout, though. -
RedRider1I'll add 27 points to the Wasson Watch. I have 29 as his career high against Nw'n in his frosh year.

FlashWas in C-bus, but got on FHuddle to see the score late. Thanks for posting it. Some people may remember Andy Hibinger from basketball here at Orrville. I heard on Saturday he was very sick in a hospital in Akron with an unknown brain infection of some kind. Remember him in your prayers.
-
BRFThat is one good kid, right there.
The thoughts and prayers go out. -
rrfanHate to break the bad news but a fellow Rider has passed. Andy Hibinger passed I believe early this morning or late last night. Keep the family in your prayers.
-
rrfanGot word today that Andy Hibinger has passed. Please keep his family in all your prayers right now.
-
BRFThat is some very very sad news.
Thoughts and prayers going out now for the family. <----good people!

yes brf the 3 ball was open for shelby i have them 6 for 10 in the first half and with jake sitting didn't help . I also would like to give my congrats to coach slaughter on win number ONE.!!BRF wrote: We win, 65-57.
Wasson with 27 and Besancon 15.
Wasson was pretty much unstopable. IMO, Shelby made it close because of the absence of Jake. We gave too many free looks at 3's due to our top heavy side of big men.
Congrats to Coach Slaughter!
Hoobler and Miller were not even there. I wonder if they are just going to hang it up, due to their injuries and our depth?
I would like to send my thought and prayers to the Hibinger family on the passing of andy. -

Very sad. Didn't know the man, but reading his wife's journal on Caring Bridge is about enough to break your heart.rrfan wrote: Got word today that Andy Hibinger has passed. Please keep his family in all your prayers right now.

BRFI would like to clear something up and that is that it is true that Miller and Hoobler were at college visits. And they are not quitting, however it is up in the air as to when they can take the court due to their injuries.
I would like to add that those two are favorites of BRF and that they both do very well in the classroom.
With that said, the result of their trips indicates that Hoobler may not be going to Akron, after all, and that Miller is very close to making a choice. I don't want to post on here where, but if you want to know, you can PM me.
I am very saddened about the loss of Andy Hibinger. What a tragedy. -
rrfanI really did not think that Miller or Hoobler would have quite. I will say this it would not surprise me if they end up at the same college. That said Akron facility is awesome, so if he stays with that choice it will be a great choice.
Good luck boys. -
FlashHoobler has verbally committed to Indiana, at least that's what I read in the Beacon Journal tonight. I'm sure it will be in the paper tomorrow.

BRFAt this point, it appears as though they will not be at the same college, nor at Akron.
btw, you saying "quite" reminds me of my oldest daughter slipping me a note a LONG time ago that said to be "quite" because she was trying to sleep.
Imagine that, me running my mouth when someone was trying to get some sleep!! ha ha
Next game up......Senior Tygers.
With Jake back, I look for a Rider victory. -
rrfanBRF-you got me again. I quess it is that Orrville education! LOL.
Indiana? That would be cool. Keep us updated on Miller also. -

Dang....I knew of this earlier today but didn't get it posted to my blog until almost 6pm. Didn't think the ABJ would be this quick.Flash wrote: Hoobler has verbally committed to Indiana, at least that's what I read in the Beacon Journal tonight. I'm sure it will be in the paper tomorrow.

RedRider1rrfan,
they knew about him visiting IU, so I'm sure they just followed up on Monday morning and found out when I did. It's all over the papers/blogs that cover IU football. -
rrfanI know rr1 I was just playing. However for Orrville sports they should check with you first. It would make them more accurate.
-
RedRider1Sometimes I can look like quite the amatuer.
Of course...what do you expect for what the site pays me? -
Riders12sam miller verbally committed to kent state, congrats sam . In todays daily record today, nice rite up by sports writer mike plant.
-
rrfanCongrats to Sam and Coach Davault. Coach is working for his guys to get looks by these schools. That is something that used to be missing in Orrville Football.
Congrats to both. -
Riders12I AGREE with you rrfan it's a WIN/WIN for everyone.
