Inter Valley Conference 09 !!
-
tigerfan82Let's get one started here folks. Can anyone even compete with the Hawks???????
-
majorsparkMy humble predictions:
Hiland
Strasburg
Garaway
Malvern
TCC
Sandy Valley
Newcomerstown
Ridgewood
Conotton Valley
I think any of the top four has a good chance of coming out on top. TCC is the wild card. All in all I see a competitive league race. A lot will depend on how the underclassmen fill the gaps teams have lost to graduation. -
majorsparkThey should split basketball between boys and girls. I was assuming you ment boys. Until they split up you may want to indicate boys/girls in the thread title.
-
sebastianTiger, you have Ridgewood at the wrong end. I believe they will be at the top of the pack instead competing with Hiland and Garaway.
-
jlghoopsZero chance that Ridgewood competes for title. Sebastian is a major homer if he believes that.
I agree that the top four (Hiland, Garaway, Strasburg and Malvern) will all be in it, but I think the Hawks are the favorite until beaten. TCC and Sandy might upset someone along the way, but I don't see the other three winning very many games from the top four. If CV, NCT and Ridgewood went 3-21 against the four contenders that would be a surprise. -
LocoEngineer661. Hiland
2 Malvern -
tigerfan82Sebastian.......those are not my picks...........but I agree with Mr. hoops post.

Yeah stinks that he got injured. Broken collar bone if I recall. Can't get into the old huddle to double check. At least he is young and will return strong with a couple of years left.yikes wrote: no shawn ball for the rockets this basketball season on a brighter note tho they do have bellaire st johns twice this year, best of luck to the rockets an all other ivc teams this year... -
sebastianMy apologies Tiger, I saw you were the one who started the thread, then typed it in. No kidding JLG. Ridgewood basketball will be where it has been probably unless something happens. Its called sarcasm!
-
yikes
he had surgery i believe on this past monday to put a plate in along with about 8 screws. just the icing on the cake with the football season they had, he lined up more at the reciever position this year than quarterback for some reason, explain that one to memajorspark wrote:

PariahHiland has its issues. Lost a lot of seniors, Colten Hostetler in particular and the 6'5" Troyer. But Dylan and Noah coming back should cushion the blow. I think soph Lucas Burch will turn some heads. Junior Josh Yoder is back too.
I will be looking to see if Paul H at Garaway can play up to his promise and if the Pirates can get good guard play. Also, what the Burg be able to put on the court with Bonifant. And what kind of player the latest Tucci will be. -
J Loves sportsTo bad that Ball got injured. Now I cant pick rockets as the IVC basketball champs.
1. Hiland
2. Malvern
3. Strasburg
4. Garway
5. TCC
6. Sandy Valley
7. Newcomerstown
8. Ridgewood
9. Conotton Valley -
StephenALooks like another interesting year in the IVC. I think the top 4 or 5 spots will be even more competitive than last year.
-

Maybe someone can try and save him from the land of the lost. If not we may have to carry on without him. -
Junior SamplesI wish somebody would save the Ball kid from the Land of the Lost.
-
ricolafound you! looks good so far. (the site and the predictions!) will see if we can get a few of the other classic huddlers to follow, and get the Pickem started. Only a few weeks to go.
hiland has its first scrimmage today (Olentangy Liberty, Northwestern). Anyone else scrimmaging? -
PariahIf we have Ricola, we have everyone important.

ricolawow...i feel so...loved!

tfloangelricola, thanks for patching up one of the Lady Hawks last night...
Just wanted to let you know that Hiland basketball lost one of its greatest fans early this morning when Clyde Sundheimer passed away. He's the father-in-law of boys frosh Coach Allan Miller, and grandfather to twins Cameron and MacKenzie Miller and Jasmine Goings who are all members of the high school programs. He'll be greatly missed, but the family's happy that he's singing in Heaven now -
ricolaglad to...
so sorry to hear about Clyde. Indeed a great Hawk fan, but just a great man all around. Knew him since I was knee high to a grasshopper. He leaves a great family behind, and the community will indeed miss him. Prayers to all the family, but --like you said--there's comfort in knowing he's singing with the angels, and finally feels like (and IS!) truly a new man!! -
jlghoopsNo scrimmages yet for Malvern, most of their team is still playing football. We hope that lasts for a few more weeks. I imagine Ridgewood feels the same way
