Wow, I didn't think there was a bigger delusional poster than Dynasty on these boards, or a bigger idiot than Capone. Turns out I may be wrong. LMAO at these posts. "Back and to the left, Back and to the left". IP(s)OTW. LOL FAIL.

You're just being a candy, trying to take the high road. The officials have been a big theme this season. They were awful in the Oakland and Buffalo games and haven't been much better the past few games.
Non;607425 wrote:real fans stick up for their team when the refs jump on the opposing team's back with the game on the line
LJ must be a pseudo Steelers fan
Non;607448 wrote:the Steelers receiver went out and got a step on the defensive back for the game winning touchdown
after the team had fallen behind 22-17, they had the play called and it was what they wanted
but the defensive back illegally grabbed his jersey from behind
moral of the story is the game should be decided by the teams not one team and the officials vs. the other team
Non;607456 wrote:the spot they were in is irrelevant in my opinion
a lot of games are close and this one figured to be
it came down to the end like most expected but the Jets received obvious help from the officials in pass coverage
the Clark hit also was borderline and they probably would've only had a FG to make it 17-13
the Jets got the calls in the second half because they needed the game more
plain and simple
I just hate bull crap like that, let the teams decide it
Non;607465 wrote:I would debate some of those calls. I think a lot of jealous fans of the Steelers jumped on and complained about calls that were legit just to complain.
But I don't think it decided the outcome. The Steelers were going to win that game anyway.
Non;607478 wrote:The Steelers got ripped off in the Indy game that year when they took away Polamalu's interception. That kept Indy in the game but the Steelers won anyway.
The Steelers were too tough that year and they were going to find a way to win no matter what. Even if they got a few calls in the Super Bowl or if they didn't, the outcome was going to be the same.
This particular game came down to the end and the refs and Jets teamed up.
Non;607489 wrote:well it works both ways
everyone on these message boards cried for years about the Steelers getting the calls
they're getting shafted now so I'll be the one to point it out every time and support my team when they're getting hosed
rather than be a sissy like LJ and hold hands with Browns fans and others and sing together
Non;607515 wrote:Steelers got the benefit that game but they've had onesided officiating for five games in a row so it's not close to even this year.
Non;607520 wrote:I won't stop until the officiating gets better.
No use stopping just to stop. The season isn't over yet. The Steelers organization should be talking to the league office and pressuring them to get a better shake.
Non;607525 wrote:They would've made the plays to win, though, if the Jets got called for illegal tactics. Tarnishes the win in my mind.
Non;607531 wrote:I've been complaining about the officials a lot more than usual this season because it's been worse this year than other years.
Non;607545 wrote:I think the fans who are attending the games are getting put off by it, too.
The last two games I was at, Oakland and Cincinnati, there were loud chants of "refs you suck."
As I said, all of the borderline helmet hits they're making on defense are getting calls.
The borderline hits on the opposing defense against Steelers receivers are not getting called. Not one.
The late hits and helmet hits on the QB were not called. There were at least 10 obvious ones in the four games before this one
This game actually was not that bad in comparison but you can't let the defensive back grab a jersey that blatantly, it gives an unfair advantage.
My complaints are legit. I won't shy away for a second.
Non;607595 wrote:at least 10
between the Oakland game and Cincinnati game, Ben took several hits to the head, on the face, to the legs, one where two guys from Buffalo bent him back well after the whistle
none were penalties
the Steelers probably have 10 flags on helmet hits or borderline helmet hits this season and maybe one called against the other team, and I don't even remember one
there's a legitimate gripe
Non;607623 wrote:maybe
there was a flag down and they picked it up
probably a borderline holding that they let go
Non;607633 wrote:I said that a long time ago. There's not even a question about it.
The NFL was backing them because of the united theme.
They let their cornerbacks hold the receivers big time. It wasn't until the Colts complained a few years later that they cracked down on it.
Non;607648 wrote:If things even out the Steelers are due a lot of evening out, so we'll see.
They've just been able to overcome a lot of the officiating to keep a good record.
This one was kind of tough to overcome because the refs wanted the Jets to get back on track.
Non;607664 wrote:Saints got help last year from the officials.
In the NFC Championship game and then in the Super Bowl on the Lance Moore play at the goal line.
Non;607676 wrote:If it's a fair game I have no problem admitting it.
The officiating was no issue at all in the Steelers-Pats game.
Steelers got thoroughly outplayed that game.
The holding call at the end of this game has to be called 100 percent of the time. When it's not, it looks bad. The officials are giving one team an unfair advantage.
Non;607680 wrote:no you have to secure it all the way to the ground
it came out
that should've been incomplete based on how every such play has been called this year, they just gave them that one because they wanted New Orleans to win after all the adversity
Non;607689 wrote:dominated?
if the Jets don't hold, Sanders catches the winning TD and the Steelers win 24-22
then everybody would be like, well the Steelers made the plays
it's the same thing, they just got cheated
Non;607697 wrote:I think you still have to maintain it all the way through.
He was in the endzone when he caught the ball and then went to the ground and it came out. That's the same as what happened to the Raiders on a Monday night game and it was incomplete because it came out.
Non;607705 wrote:calm down about what?
I felt it was cheap when it happened and I feel the same way a few hours later
I hope Tomlin and the organization continue to speak to the league office and try to get clerification on some of these calls because it's going to be important moving forward to not get jobbed in close games
