Week 15: New York Jets (9-4) at Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3)

  • Non

Despite back-to-back losses, the Jets remain in good position for a playoff berth in the AFC. But another loss could bring some other wild card contenders into play. Very important game for the Jets to stop their slide.

As stated on the playoff picture thread, the Steelers don't have to beat the Jets to clinch the AFC North or to secure a first round bye. They can accomplish both by defeating Carolina and Cleveland in their final two regular season games. Still, it's a key battle between playoff caliber teams in the AFC.

The Jets will continue their downward spiral...

Can we put Justin on suicide watch here pretty soon?
  • GoChiefs
The way the Jets have been playing, Steelers by 17.
  • Art Modell
I'll wait on the injury reports to give a prediction. Right now I'll go Steelers by 3.
  • THE4RINGZ
Tomlin reported no injuries in his post game presser. It would be nice to get an offensive linemen or two back.

    And Heath Miller.

the steelers are going to make Sanchez their bitch

Jets really need this one.......they lose this and they may not make the playoffs after starting 9-2

I will say the Steelers by 10, but there will be a lot of holding that is not called.

Sanchez, might be in HUGE trouble. The Steeler D, may make him look for his pacifier.

The Jets haven't really beat anyone of note though. They are into the meat of their schedule and now you can see that they are not quite a championship caliber team...at least not yet.
  • THE4RINGZ
The street need to pressure Sanchez because they can't cover downfield. And the offense needs to get on track.
  • Ironman92
....agree except for one small thing....they beat the Patriots

oh, I actually didn't know they did. I didn't think they beat anyone over .500

I'm thinking the Jets will probably post a shutout, because I've got Mike Wallace and Mendenhall in my fantasy league playoffs next week.
  • THE4RINGZ
Looks like the jets will be without a special teams coach in this one. Too bad you cheating fucking son of a bitch.

Strength and conditioning coach. My bad. I had the wrong title for that cheating cocksucker.

Other than the Falcons and Ravens, who have the Steelers beat?

    That wouldn't surprise me.

I think the Jets rebound here. Their defense shows up and makes the steelers oline look terrible. Mendenhall wont be able to get going against the stout run def of NY. Holmes gets revenge aginst the weak CBs and scores 2 TDs. Jets 24 -steelers 10.
  • Ironman92
they also thrashed the 8-5 Buccaneers and beat the 7-6 Dolphins
  • Ironman92
Will Holmes catch the ball this week? He sure didn't against the Dolphins....coulda used him!
