Week 15: New York Jets (9-4) at Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3)

after the team had fallen behind 22-17, they had the play called and it was what they wanted
but the defensive back illegally grabbed his jersey from behind
moral of the story is the game should be decided by the teams not one team and the officials vs. the other team
They shouldn't have been in that spot to begin with. Does it suck? Yes. Should it have been called? Probably. Am I moving on and looking forward to the next game? Yes. Is there a conspiracy? Not at all, shit the Steelers got a phantom 1st down in this game. -
GoChiefsLJ;607451 wrote: the Steelers got a phantom 1st down in this game.
They just did that because they knew they were going to cost the Steelers the game, so that helps the refs sleep better at night. -

the spot they were in is irrelevant in my opinion
a lot of games are close and this one figured to be
it came down to the end like most expected but the Jets received obvious help from the officials in pass coverage
the Clark hit also was borderline and they probably would've only had a FG to make it 17-13
the Jets got the calls in the second half because they needed the game more
plain and simple
I just hate bull crap like that, let the teams decide it -

Does this thread take over the boston collapse thread for thread of the year?
This thread is no where near that haha. -

There is no point in debating it with you. You will just keep saying I am a pseudo fan and complaining about the refs.Non;607456 wrote:the spot they were in is irrelevant in my opinion

Maybe you missed it the first time, did you have that same stance when the officials cost the Seahawks the Super Bowl? -

I would debate some of those calls. I think a lot of jealous fans of the Steelers jumped on and complained about calls that were legit just to complain.
But I don't think it decided the outcome. The Steelers were going to win that game anyway. -

But of course they were. Smh. Hypocrisy? How do you know that if the officials didn't let the teams decide it? -

The Steelers got ripped off in the Indy game that year when they took away Polamalu's interception. That kept Indy in the game but the Steelers won anyway.
The Steelers were too tough that year and they were going to find a way to win no matter what. Even if they got a few calls in the Super Bowl or if they didn't, the outcome was going to be the same.
This particular game came down to the end and the refs and Jets teamed up. -

GoChiefsAhhh, so, it's OK when it benefits the Steelers, but we have to cry about it when it goes against the Steelers and claim the NFL is out to 'get' the Steelers. Damn conspiracies.
Got it. Thank you for clearing that up. We all see where you stand now. I love the hypocrisy though. That's great. -
Nonwell it works both ways
everyone on these message boards cried for years about the Steelers getting the calls
they're getting shafted now so I'll be the one to point it out every time and support my team when they're getting hosed
rather than be a sissy like LJ and hold hands with Browns fans and others and sing together -
Fly4FunI skimmed through this thread as well to be an unbiased observer. I was actually rooting for the Steelers to beat the Jets in this game...
But jesus christ, you steeler fans needa reality check. All of this "trolling crying" is completely delusional. Just because people don't buy into your wonderfully biased view of the world that the league and officials are out to get you doesn't mean they are trolling.
Some of you (I'm looking at a couple individuals specifically) need to remove your head from your own ass. -
GoChiefsLMAO, and to think, most of us used to think you were a knowledgeable poster. Gotta love a hypocrite.

Didnt the Steelers get the benefit of the doubt at the end of the Dolphins game?
Same thing may have happened to the Jets today, it happens. -

another blow because I think you are absolutely delusional. It's time to stop whining. -

Steelers got the benefit that game but they've had onesided officiating for five games in a row so it's not close to even this year. -

No, the NFL is out to get the Steelers. They won't help them. -

I won't stop until the officiating gets better.
No use stopping just to stop. The season isn't over yet. The Steelers organization should be talking to the league office and pressuring them to get a better shake. -
