AppleToday there have been a grand total of 4 posts, 2 each on 2 threads (with one at 1:00 am), on the politics forum. It usually wasn't all that busy on the politics threads before, but there were always people posting on at least one of the threads. Now it's virtually nothing! ST/I is like a ghost town!

Have they sued this place yet to try and shut it down? I figure that's their next desperate move.Apple wrote: Today there have been a grand total of 4 posts, 2 each on 2 threads (with one at 1:00 am), on the politics forum. darbypitcher22wow... avatars still turned on on Friday nights? That tells you a bunch about the traffic they're getting...

Laley23Thinking about getting banned from GAYGAYHUDDLE tonight. Who says good move?
-
RedRider1How many of the huddles 150,000 membership would you say joined simply for access to the site (with no intent on posting)?
I can see it being in the 40% range...and there's no way those who never post are going to pay.....so right there, you're talking a substantial drop in membership. -
darbypitcher22laley, I say good move. Has got to be something epic.

Curly J
They have over 100,000 members that have ZERO posts. Comes to around 68% of the members that have never posted.RedRider1 wrote: How many of the huddles 150,000 membership would you say joined simply for access to the site (with no intent on posting)?

Hmmmm....I bet they figured those people might pay to read the threads and comments, especially if they are there a lot then they are there to see what people are saying (as opposed to people living on S/T there for pure entertainment).Curly J wrote: They have over 100,000 members that have ZERO posts. Obviously, however, they failed to recognize those people won't pay if there are no posts to read. LOL, they probably thought a lot of people were actually there to read their "content". -

I did my duty last night Laley. I went on around 10 different posts telling about this site.Laley23 wrote: Thinking about getting banned from GAYGAYHUDDLE tonight. Who says good move?
You have been banned for promoting another site:
Date ban lifted: Never
Let us know how it works out Laley. -

The whole concept of the perma-ban cracks me up. Like you got caught trying to steal company secrets or something. -
holy_buckeyeLooked thru the thread titles on the S/T board. One read "Can I get my money back?"
LMAO -

I knew better. You even warned me, but that just appealed to my "train wreck" interest even more. Why why why did I google that knowing full well I didn't want to see it?
On the bright side, now I can get revenge on my friend for sending me "two girls one cup" -
FanOfCatsOh man, Tub Girl was just sick! Not sure I've ever almost puked just by looking at a picture, but I couldn't even look at that!

On what grounds could they sue? They'd be laughed out of court.gut wrote:

Far more frivolous cases have been brought to trial. Copyright infringement, blatantly and willfully breaking forum rules to recruit the poster base (if they were smart, they have fine print buried somewhere in their CoC/user agreements subjecting such behavior to legal action), especially if founders/mods here participated. I'm sure a crafty lawyer could come up with away to apply spam laws, as well, such as pm's to individuals which has been promoted by some here.dwccrew wrote:

Now, showing direct financial harm would be difficult given how to prove losses weren't due to going to a membership fee. Of course, some strategy comes into play, as well, just based on what resources and interest the founders of this board would have in fighting a lawsuit. -

They could bring a lawsuit for whatever reason they wish, but everything you just named would not apply to any grounds for compensation to JJHuddle except for copyright infringement. Since this site did not do anything near that, there is no reason to bring suit.gut wrote:

The copyright of JJHuddle has not been infringed upon. Breaking forum rules is not a very good way to sue either. They are basically up shit's creek without a paddle.
