The Army is always fucking up over there. Numerous time we have had to go back into an area after the Army had let it get out of control.
Well the Air Force doesnt do shit. Sit around and watch tv and shoot the shit. Calling for air support is a waste of a time. Sorry guys it is to hostile or some other fucking excuse they have.

There are def turds in the military who will try to use the uniform to get attention and use all the perks. There are turds in every profession.

But there are also many more who are just normal every day Americans. Some join so they can have a job. Some join for college money. Some join because it was a family tradition. Some join out of a sense of honor for our country, and some just join to shoot and blow shit up.

I think sleeper is a litte bit out in leftfield in alot of what he says. There are def some who give the whole a bad name in the military. Just like there are some Priests, teachers, cops, contractors, salespeople, who give their professions bad names. As far as their compensation, well we have already discussed it alot on here. Base pay isnt great. Benefits can be good if you need them, but shouldnt they be? WHen you are doing a job that is inherently dangerous dont you think it is proper to offer a pretty darned good insurance plan? Hell I know people in teaching positions who get great benefits yet are in a line of work that isnt dangerous. yes, they are college grads, but the rate in the military is rising as well.

They def toe the line in what they need. When they start to get where they want to be you start to see signing bonuses drop. When they need a spike they ramp them back up.

    It happens.

as for inter service rivalries. Yeah, it is gonna happen. No different than if you are a huge football fan. You love football, but you like the Bengals. Other guy likes the Steelers. Ya have rivalries that way. Not exactly the same, but similiar.

I would expect that to not have to pay for a flight, or the bags, when you come home from a tour. Just seems like the right thing to do

You are a fucking nut job. And I GUARANTEE that you are one of those nutjob douchebags who sit at the bar expecting free drinks, yelling random nonsense, and talking shit to anyone who gives you a bad look. Plus, marines are just as guity as the army or air force if you are going to play that game. Get off your bullshit military high horse

Yes I am a fucking not job. No I don't want handouts and no I don't hang out at the bars and scream shit and expect free shit. I actually hate that shit. If you go back and read you would see where I said nobody is the armed forces is better than anyone else who has a job. I am no better than you or anyone on this site. I joined the military because I wanted to kill some people. I have the upmost respect for people who work in other fields of work.

    Guity?

What you are making no sense. If I am out in public and someone says something about the military in a negative way I say something. Why because I love this country. If someone says something on here I say something. Why because I love this country.

We are both allowed to have opinions that is the great thing about this country.

Based on your post below, it would seem that you contradict yourself then, as here, you seem to say that some of those in the military are better than others in the military.

    This sounds regurgitated.

If the Army just "fucks things up," then it would only make sense to get rid of them. Do you think that should be done?

If the Air Force "doesn't do shit," then it would only make sense to get rid of them, too. Do you think that should be done, as well?

Lmao. You are digging deep. No we shouldn't get rid of them I mean the Air Force have great chow halls and well the Army they keep us busy so no keep them around to.

If you don't believe your branch is better than others you are a fucking idiot. It is called having a little bit of fucking pride. Something the Marine Corps has alot of. I guess that is why we are Americas 911. The smallest branch but the most feared branch in the fucking world.
  • Pick6
I have a brother in the marines and when he got back from bootcamp he was all on his horse about how the marines were better than any other service, "chair force", etc. I'm pretty sure that to become a Marine they have tougher PT requirements than the other services and are more strict at bootcamp and SOI school. With that said, I lthink claiming one branch is better than another is stupid. All of them are over there doing the same thing and fighting for the same country and people.
  • Tiger2003
No not all of us are doing the same thing. Yes we are somehow fighting the same war but we all don't do the same things.

But inside the military hell yes there is a difference.

    Marine Corps Rules:

    01. Be courteous to everyone, friendly to no one.
    02. Decide to be aggressive enough, quickly enough.
    03. Have a plan.
    04. Have a back-up plan, because the first one probably won't work.
    05. Be polite. Be professional. But, have a plan to kill everyone
    you meet.
    06. Do not attend a gunfight with a handgun whose caliber does not
    start with a '4.'
    07. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap.
    Life is expensive.
    08. Move away from your attacker. Distance is your friend (Lateral
    & diagonal preferred.)
    09. Use cover or concealment as much as possible.
    10. Flank your adversary when possible. Protect yours.
    11. Always cheat; always win. The only unfair fight is the one you
    lose.
    12. In ten years nobody will remember the details of caliber,
stance, or tactics. They will only remember who lived.
    13. If you are not shooting, you should be communicating your
    intention to shoot.

    Navy SEAL Rules:

    4. Curse bitterly when mission is aborted.
    5. Walk out 50 miles wearing a 75 pound rucksack while starving.

    US Army Rules:

    1. Curse bitterly when receiving operational order.
    2. Make sure there is extra ammo and extra coffee.
    3. Curse bitterly.
    4. Curse bitterly.
    5. Do not listen to 2nd LTs; it can get you killed.
    6. Call in air strike on suspected targets.
    7. Curse bitterly.

    US Air Force Rules:

    01. Have a cocktail.

    presentation.
    06. Wine & dine ''key' Congressmen, invite DOD & defense industry
    executives.
    07. Receive funding, set up new command and assemble assets.
    08. Declare the assets 'strategic' and never deploy them
    operationally.
    09. Hurry to make 13:45 tee-time.
    10. Make sure the base is as far as possible from the conflict but
close enough to have tax exemption.

    US Navy Rules:

    1. Go to Sea.
    2. Drink Coffee.
    3. Deploy Marines

Tiger2003;795997 wrote:Lmao. You are digging deep.

No, I'm drawing conclusions based solely on what you've said here. If we're paying people to "not do shit," then we're sinking money into something with no return. Anything with no return is logically useless, and should be done away with ... all the more so if it is costing something.
Tiger2003;795997 wrote:No we shouldn't get rid of them I mean the Air Force have great chow halls ...

Build a cafeteria. It's just as effective, and we won't run the risk of having the servers flying multi-million dollar planes. Lower risk.

In all seriousness, do you want to get rid of them? If not, what reason do you have for not getting rid of them?
Tiger2003;795997 wrote:... and well the Army the keep us busy so no keep them around to.

They keep you busy? So without them around, we wouldn't need as many of you around either? Seems like the country could wipe out a lot of their annual spending.

Moreover, if they are taking your attention away from other things like ... you know ... terrorism, it only stands to reason that they should be removed.

If you truly believe you are correct in saying that they offer nothing to the U. S. military, then the only logical conclusion you could draw would be that they should be done away with.
Tiger2003;795997 wrote:If you don't believe your branch is better than others you are a fucking idiot.

    No. It means you're realistic.

If you don't believe your COUNTRY is better than others, I might see more validity, but last I checked, the US armed forces are all on the same side, and I've never once heard of demeaning statements within a team or alliance being a good thing.

I have family members from many branches of the armed forces, and they all take pride in their respective branch, but none would insult the others except in the form of ribbing. The fact that you are actually serious about believing that the Army just makes things worse (read: "fucking up") and that the Air Force offers nothing additional of value (read: "doesn't do shit") makes you sound delusional.

I have two family members who are Marines, and I hold great respect for them, not just because they are Marines, but because they are great men. They understand the difference between taking pride in being a Marine and making asinine comments for the purpose of demeaning other branches of the armed forces.

By the way, you did it again:
