  They expect people to believe that the stories being passed around are false and irresponsible?? Any freaking Joe Schmoe can't cancel meeting with the police after something like this. If there is nothing to hide Tiger talk to the police!

  I normally don't give two shits about these types of celebrity things but this one is fishy.

  Yeah, it was definitely not an accidental crash. If it were, Tiger wouldn't be canceling meetings with the police. Something smells really fishy here.

  I heard, technically, he doesn't have to talk to the police, but he must provide his driver's license and proof of insurance.

  That sounds right to me, but eventually he'll be subpoenaed if he doesn't talk, which could be more embarrassing if this was just a simple accident.

  If he's subpoenaed then he'd just bring his attorney, his driver's license and proof of insurance and then walk out the door. I don't see much getting released on this story. Though Tiger denies and calls malicious some of the statements made concerning the accident, I think it's pretty clear what's going on. He could have done himself a world of good by handling this on day one by meeting with the police and providing what they needed. He could also issued a simple statement that it's a private matter (which he has done, but late) and then let the public go on with whatever guesses they choose. Instead, here we are.

  I can't speak for Florida, but in the (admittedly few) instances I know of drivers in Virginia, this at least gets a reckless driving court appearance.

  How could he be subpoenaed without charges filled? It's still being classified as a traffic accident so he doesn't have to say anything. Well, until someone comes forward and says otherwise...

  The same reason why any other driver who doesn't talk would eventually get subpoenaed, probable cause. Cops don't need much to take in a driver suspected of DUI, Tiger ran over public property and his neighbor's property and just admitted to it in his presser.

  I do admit that I'm confused on why he would have to talk to Police, but on the flipside, I don't get why he keeps canceling.

  Maybe I missed it, but I thought the police ruled out alcohol? And if he damaged public property (hydrant) the MOST that would happen is that he'd be fined, maybe cited for speeding/reckless driving, but he still wouldn't have to be subpoenaed for that. They'd cite him on site, and I'm sure his accountant would just write a check and pay for the fine.
  
  He ran up on to private property so his neighbor would have to file a complaint with the court JUST to get the police to serve him and make him appear in court or provide a statement....I highly doubt his neighbor is going to go through all of that.
  
  Either way...it's still fishy. The time of night, the fact that his wife "had" to smash the back of the window to get him out, the lacerations, etc.,...just really weird.

  I tend to agree with raiderbuck....what's the big deal. I wouldn't be talking to anyone. If I did something wrong cite me otherwise have a nice day and move along.

  In my experience that's probably right, but reckless driving isn't a walk to the 9th hole (pun intended), it is at least a court appearance in many jurisdictions, and possibly a suspension of license. My wife has a co-worker that was cited for reckless driving because she fell asleep driving to the gym after work, I'm sure no one would fault her morally, it was a mistake but she still had to go through the system, and it was hard on her. What was a fire hydrant could have been a kid walking back from school.

  Lets look at this, she used the club to break the back window to get him out so the clubs were not in the SUV. I'm guessing tiger woods doesn't keep a set of clubs near the back door, this would leave us to believe that she had possession of the club before he crashed. Possibly running around the house wielding a PW.
