downloaded Uninstaller off of the market....it is a pretty handy app....since I try out a lot of trial versions of different apps

Orrrrr you could go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and remove the program that way.

Downloading an uninstaller is like buying an app that shuts down your phone.....if you can do it without the app, why bother? You're wasting space on your device, giving some random company access to your info, and risking one more app doing something malicious to your phone.

I prefer ease of use on this one....just a personal preference.

Yeah, pressing a few buttons can be tough, lol

No but seriously what would worry me is the uninstaller not actually removing all the registry entries involved with the installation of the apps and that leading to problems.

    (Android == Linux) != Registry

Thanks for the insight. I'm sure everyone was wondering if i was using the exact technical jargon that I should have.

The fact that Linux based devices don't have registries has nothing to do with jargon.

I got a Droid 2 yesterday and just skimmed the thread. Since it is mostly imex99 and hoops23 talking to themselves, most of the thread is ignored.

Anyways, I downloaded a few apps today while I was at work and Google Goggles just amazes the shit out of me. I've been taking pictures of everything.

:( Also, I noticed something I did today raped the battery. I unplugged my phone at 7 and by midnight it was at 20%.

Well, I must be doing something right to be on that pussies ignore list. Awesome.

Anyway, who's seen the new Evo coming out? Believe it's called the "Evo Shift"...

can't wait until my contract with ATT is up. my iphone has essentially been a brick since OS 4 came out and their support has not been helpful at all. I'm going to android in 9 months. keep me in the loop with badass aps and updates.

Looks like it's a CDMA phone, which means it would be locked to CDMA carriers (Verizon, Sprint).

Does anyone have an Otterbox case? Are they worth it? It looks like there isn't one out for my phone yet. I signed up for the whole "notify me when it's available stuff".

Also, I went back and read those posts. I LOL'd. Stay classy you guys.

    IDK.

by then i'll be living in houston so my options are endless. I'd probably lean verizon because their coverage is better in SE OH/MOV where i will be spending my vacation. but it will depend really on the kind of deals i get when the time comes.

T-Mobile and Sprint are both cheaper than ATT/Verizon. The trade-off is that TMo and Sprint are only worth something if you live in metro areas. They are so-so in rural settings.
