My Evo is in, what Android apps do I need to get right away?

    PANDORA

BTW, this phone is pure awesome.

Better than the Iphone? On scale of 1 to 10 rate both plz!

I enjoy it more than my iphone 3g because it is much, much faster. It is comparable in speed to the iphone 4.

    I'd rate both (evo and i4) a solid 8 or 9.

Did you root yet? I have a feeling when you do you'll see more of a gap between the Evo and I4, not to mention some of the alternative home launchers out there. If you're willing to invest a little time, android just offers a superior user experience because of all the customization - not to mention I can't imagine a smartphone without widgets.

Yeah, the widgets are absurdly awesome. I haven't rooted yet but I will at some point. It took me almost 2 years to jailbreak my iphone so I'm not in a huge hurry.

It's worth mentioning again about the Home replacements. Look into an app titled "LauncherPro".

The free version is great on it's own right, but the paid version includes htc sense like widgets.

I gotta vote for Sweeterhome, myself. More of a learning curve, a bit more tedious to use....and by far the most customizable home them out there. It can become a major addiction and time waster, though.

I downloaded Alchemy yesterday. Incredibly addicting game.

I don't play many games, but I do like Robodefense...although, it may get boring after a while.

Anyone else using doubletwist? The default music player sucks something fierce so I am giving it a try. Just syncing my music to the phone now so it will be a bit before I get to test it out.

If not doubletwist, any other music player alternatives?

I know apple would never do it, but they should release a "iPod" app to the android market and charge $10 for it.

    Dropbox.

By the way, you guys are using dropbox right? If not and you're interested I'll post a referral link that nets us both an extra 250mb of space.
