Have The Majority of American Men Become Wusses?

sleeperEver since women were given the ability to vote this country has gone down hill.
There, I said it. -

Here's something that won't be edited:MANAZE wrote: Lets get this straight I called most men in this country pussies not wussies it was mod edited. also if your doing what is right I don't see what are you so worried about. Just know there are more Dr.Phils now than GI Joes.
You're a dumbass -

Mooney44CardsI'm 24 and my mom owns my car. And I've been in over 20 theater productions including 16 broadway musicals. Love to dance and sing.
Man, I'm such a wuss. Gay even.
I can't believe some people still live in a world where (A) is for men and (B) is for women and if a man does (B) he's either a wuss or he's gay. Being a straight guy who's done theater most of my life, I've run into this over and over. Seriously, wake the fuck up out of the middle ages. -

It could be, but it seems just bat shit crazy enough to be for real.Upper90 wrote: LOLZ....dude, I'm so confused by what you're talking about. I don't even know what men are doing that's drawing your ire, because you've jumped all over the place and made little sense in doing so. I think PEOPLE really need to step up in some aspects of their lives, but to say that the majority of men, bla bla bla....I can't get with you there.
Unless all of this is a joke, which it very well could be.
There are other punctuation marks besides periods. Feel free to try them sometime.MANAZE wrote: I don't think you did. I see guys like you all the time you think you are owed something because you served your country. Well no not really while you were off serving there are men and women here losing thier lifes making this country move. There are men and women who work everyday in this country who die on the job but you never hear about them. If you didn't have the men working in the power house you wouldn't be able to judge people on the internet but you don't hear them coming on here and saying I work at a power house I'm tough shit I'm bad ass. No because they do their job and go home. I'm tired of hearing about how much money got wasted on that war and how I need to send money over seas for our troops but yet here at home were losing everything, ya that makes sense.
And, on a more serious note, I know quite a few veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan. Couple of friends and people I've met since though them. They are all pretty young guys, 23-24-25, and they have witnessed death first hand. Hard, horrible deaths.
And not one of those brave soldiers believe they are owed anything. They knew the risk and responsibility of being a soldier and they accepted that. To make a gross generalization (or to make some kind of joke out of it) about those men reeks of ignorance (or some perverted sense of humor).
It's the new American male way.Mulva wrote: Running from hard work and responsibilities is probably my top attribute. I am an absolute champ at passing anything requiring effort on someone else. -

I see that this really took off while I was sleeping. I'm not going to argue with you because you and I are so far from the same opinion that it would be a waste of time. This reply is really just to correct you. I own the cars. Yes, the bank owns the house and I have a mortgage like most Americans. You should have gotten the overall point that I was making but instead you picked out a couple of things and tried to be a smart ass.MANAZE wrote: 1. if your 26 the bank owns your house and cars.
2. stay married longer than 20 years
3. I don't give a fuck if you been in Iraq, I'm tired of hearing that shit, you and 100,000s of other men and women.
4.If your affended by this post your probally the pussy I'm talking about. -

And you wonder why our jobs are going over seas? People sense of self worth is a little TOO high in this country, if you ask me. People don't want to work for minimum wage, so they choose not to work at all. If you don't get that $18-20 per hour job, and someone else does, then you have to get out there and help our economy work. Just like the mentality of "every kid should get to play in the football game" we get the "every person should get to make $15+ per hour!"MANAZE wrote: 3.Have more defined jobs and careers. It is great to see when they build a Walmart it will creat 100s of jobs but the problem is most of those jobs are 8 dollars an hour. We have to have jobs where men who grad from high school can go straight to work and make 18-20 dollars an hour.
If you ask me, our standard of living is set WAY too high b/c of this... and unions. -

MANAZEYou blame the unions? Well I guess if we didn't have the unions we'd all be working 16 hour days for 50 cents an hour. Ya fucking unions. I hate it when someone makes their life better. What I'm saying is hard work and ethics left this country in the late 90s. Its been getting worst evey generation after the Civil War. And it took off in the last 20 years. Point proven this thread.

killdeerI think we are all getting scammed by a Sowing Season disciple...

Con_AlmaIf you want to earn more than $8.00 per hour you have to bring more than $8.00 per hour of value to your employer. People don't deserve a higher paying job unless they can benefit their employer at a higher level.

TBone14Just read every post. Worst 20 minutes I have ever spent. The only thing I have to say is jokes or not...how can you disrespect the veterans and the men and women who have served our country and compare them to people who build bridges and work in power plants (I believe that was the comparison..hard to remember since I had to sift through so much bullshit)? You want this manly man America and then talk shit about the bravest of the brave? I bet you couldn't last one week in basic training..let alone the 8-12.
Furthermore, I have a couple buddies who served in Afganistan and Iraq and know a few others and none of them expect or want anything or feel entitled. Sure it goes on their resume and makes it real easy to get hired, but I think for risking your life you deserve that. But they would never say that. Hell, my one buddy doesn't even like it when we tell people he just got back from Iraq at the bar. Makes him uncomfortable because people just buy him drinks all night. -

MANAZEOn a serious note I think that anyone who serves this country needs to be treated better than the way they get treated. It seems back in the 70s some bad shit happened to the vets and we still haven't fixed what went wrong then. On the same point though the men and women who work in jobs where any given day they might not come home deserve as much respect as a military person. Why? Because if you think about it they are putting everything they have on the line to support their family and make this a better life for them and this country.

TBone14When was the last time you had to look for mines that would blow you to pieces on your way to work? Or just as bad, when was the last you watched as one of your friends and coworkers got blown up by said mine or held a man in your arms as he bleed to death from gunshot wounds?
What jobs are you talking about where people may not come home that don't get respect? I know firefighters and police get a lot of respect from people I know and when they save people from burning buildings they are heros and are treated as such.
