"Who To Start" questions

4-6 weeks, so i'd keep him in case you make it to the semi's or the finals.Gblock;1325898 wrote:is it ok to drop gronkowski? i really dont see him as getting back on the field during the rest of the regular season... -
BR1986FBIs McFadden back this week or will the Raiders roll with Marcel Reece again? Reason I ask is that I'm thinking about picking Hillman (Denver) up off the waiver wire for a spot start and dumping Reece.

I'm thinking McFadden will be out again. But Hillman might end up a better play than Reece anyhow, I would try to pick him up.BR1986FB;1325985 wrote:Is McFadden back this week or will the Raiders roll with Marcel Reece again? My question ... if Fred Jackson is healthy, so I start him vs Indy or Leshoure vs Houston? -
BR1986FB
If Jackson is healthy, I'd lean toward him. Colts run D isn't good and after what Chad Henne did to the Houston secondary I could see a full on aerial assault by Stafford, CJ & Company.gorocks99;1326012 wrote:I'm thinking McFadden will be out again. Houston prepared for a pick up game in Jax, don't expect Stafford to light them up.BR1986FB;1326018 wrote:If Jackson is healthy, I'd lean toward him. Colts run D isn't good and after what Chad Henne did to the Houston secondary I could see a full on aerial assault by Stafford, CJ & Company. -

Still think a healthy Fred Jackson is a better play than Leshoure. Detroit is a "pass first" offense.Raw Dawgin' it;1326024 wrote:Houston prepared for a pick up game in Jax, don't expect Stafford to light them up. -
McFly1955Alright, I have some tough decisions this week.
2 weeks to go, everyone in my division is 5-6 and we all play each other the final 2 weeks. I’m leading in total points, so if I just win out, I will be in the playoffs.
I have Lesean Mccoy, and I’m guessing I won’t be able to grab Brown off the waivers (I have 7[SUP]th[/SUP] priority, and our waivers runs tonight, so I’ll know tomorrow).
Assuming I cannot secure Brown as the backup, I will not be playing Mccoy (Monday night game).
QB – Ryan
RB – Ray Rice
RB/WR –
WR – Roddy White
WR –
WR –
TE – Owen Daniels
K – Akers
I need to fill the RB/WR spot and the other 2 WR spots with the following potential players:
Vick Ballard
Mike Wallace (against the Browns, but Batch is starting)
Kenny Britt (hasn’t done much, but I think he’ll go off).
Lance Moore (big last week, but only 2 c atches…he is hit or miss)
My gut right now is to take a gamble and go with 4WR's and choose Britt/Wallace/Moore....Ballard is going against the league worst run defense, which is what makes me question the decision, but he is back to splitting carries and who knows how that will go... -

Azubuike24Thoughts on a flex spot play today?
Jermaine Gresham vs OAK
Michael Turner at TB
James Jones at NYG (I also have A-Rod)
Anquan Boldin at SD -

I don't like suggesting anyone over a starting TB for a flex, especially a TE, but I like Gresham today. I think it will be a higher scoring game between Cin/Oak.Azubuike24;1328549 wrote:Thoughts on a flex spot play today?

I need to play 2 out of the following 4 (one must be a WR):
Steven Jackson, Green-Ellis, Stevie Johnson, Malcom Floyd -
hangonsloopyNo Gronk for me. Rudolph vs. Chicago or Finley vs. NYG?
-
hasbeenI can start 2 RBs in a PPR league:
Ray Rice vs. Pit(5th run D)
Alfred Morris vs. NYG(16th run D)
Ryan Mathews vs. Cin(17th run D)
Bryce Brown vs. DAL(13th run D)
Normally, Rice is automatic. However, the Steelers held him to 40 yards in their first match-up. It's getting real close to crunch time and every point matters. -

As mentioned, it's crunch time. Need to win this week to secure the #2 seed and a playoff bye. So, here are my conundrums this week:
QB
Romo vs Philly
Schaub @ Tennessee
(leaning Romo but Schaub has a good matchup)
One RB for RB2, and one flex (RB or WR):
Leshoure vs Indy
SJax vs SF
Quizz Rodgers vs NO
FJax vs J'ville
----
Denarius Moore vs Cleveland
Josh Gordon @ Oakland
(Leaning Leshoure and SJax but don't like SJax against the Niners D, and have been stashing Rodgers all year only to have him become really viable in the past two weeks). -
O-TrapFinished second in my league in points this week. Lost to the guy who finished first.
I'm 6-6, with four of those losses coming to a team that scored higher that week than they have any other week of their season to date.
So, now that I've solidly kicked a baby, I have a question:
With Heath Miller cooling off, and with Manning seeming to redevelop his chemistry with Tamme (45 receiving yards in back to back games), would anyone here consider dropping or benching Miller for Tamme?
Either way, I'm picking up Kyle Rudolph in the event that he passes the concussion testing this week, but in case he isn't, I need my ducks in a row at TE.
Also, would the Sanu kid from Cinci be worth starting over Austin in the event that Austin won't be healthy to play? Golden Tate and Brandon LaFell are also on the wire. -
gorocks99
If Ben is back I'd start Miller. As for the second question, if Austin isn't healthy, clearly you need someone to plug in. I take it someone like Davone Bess isn't available? LaFell might be a better play than Sanu but Sanu does seem to be coming on lately.O-Trap;1330613 wrote:So, now that I've solidly kicked a baby, I have a question:

Bess is claimed, unfortunately. Kendall Wright is still free, and while I don't love the option of ANYONE on that Titans team, the dude has comparable numbers to Nate Washington (fewer yards, but one more catch per game).gorocks99;1330664 wrote:If Ben is back I'd start Miller. Donny Avery is also an option, but that passing game is pretty much pitch-n-catch between Luck and Wayne. -
O-TrapAs an aside, I love that Austin is still on the "Can't Cut" list with Dez Bryant now the big threat on that team.
Moreover, I love that Trent Richardson and Peyton Manning are not on the "Can't Cut" list.
Who's in charge of this? -
gorocks99Ok, I picked up Knowshon Moreno this week so now I have this decision:
One RB for RB2 (have Jamaal Charles at RB1), and one RB or WR for flex:
Leshoure vs Indy
SJax vs SF
Quizz Rodgers vs NO
FJax vs J'ville
Moreno vs TB
----
Denarius Moore vs Cleveland
Josh Gordon @ Oakland
Leaning Leshoure and Moreno as of now, but a lot of people seem to be high on Rodgers this week against a bad Saints D, and Steven Jackson had a good day against the Niners last time out ... and Fred Jackson, despite being overshadowed by Spiller, is playing Jacksonville. -

Never bench Rice (I have him too, and I know what you mean...he's one of the unbenchable players, IMO). -
Gblockim starting roddy white and decker for sure but should i go with greg jennings, blackmon or lance moore in the flex?

Jennings will have limited reps. I'd go Blackmon as long as Henne i starting.Gblock;1331355 wrote:im starting roddy white and decker for sure but should i go with greg jennings, blackmon or lance moore in the flex? -
