Draft results

Had the draft tonight. Picked 5th out of 10. It didn't go nearly as I planned and I'm very weak at RB.

I took Tom Brady first, Gronkowski 2nd, then Andre Johnson 3rd.

    My total team is ..

    Qbs: Brady, RGIII
Rbs: Ahmad Bradshaw, Javid Best, Kevin Smith, Deangelo Williams, Jonathon Stewart
Wrs: Andre Johnson, Jeremy Maclin, Antonio Brown, Torrey Smith, Kenny Britt, Santana Moss
    Te: Rob Gronkowski
    K: Gostkowski
    def: Pittsburgh

Obviously you are going to win. RG3 is on your team.
  • hasbeen
Yeah your RBs are sad. Use your depth at WE to trade for a RB.

Maclin was a waste - Also, AJ will probably give you 6 good games before he pull/tears/breaks something.

    Love the brady/gronk combo.

Do you have maclin confused with Jackson?

Still never understood why people draft before the preseason games are over.

+1 I try to set the draft the day before the opening game if it's possible.

Yeah...I don't want my starting RB going down with a knee injury in preseason.

I remember drafting Trent Green, only to have him tear his ACL in a preseason game...I picked up his backup, some scrub named Kurt Warner.

I should've quoted...my response was directed at the person above me. Im not sure why Maclin takes so much shit on this site. I like him.

Maclin was a fucking stud for me last season. Really solid/very good for most of the season.

Did you win that season? Warner tore it up that year. This was way before 40+ td seasons weren't taken for granted.

Yeah he was paired with LT. Along with the prize money we had our choice of Madden for PS2 or a jersey of our choice, I took the powder blue LT jersey.

Exactly, Maclin is Phillys number 1 and a pretty well polished receiver

Have to submit my 4 keepers tomorrow night...draft next Friday.

We have a 4 person keeper league that has been going on since high school (8 years or so).

    My keepers:

    -Ray Rice
    -Lesean McCoy
    -Jimmy Graham
-Mike Wallace (hopefully he shows up soon and plays a full season...my only option after offseason trades for draft picks).

    draft picks:
    1
    2
    3
    3
    4
    4
    4
    5

I went undefeated last year....hopefully another undefeated season coming up :)

You got Rodgers w/ the 6th pick? wowwww

I like the Burleson and Tate picks. Tate will be good when Foster inevitably goes down for a few games. I'm big on Demarco Murray as well, I saw something where they were 5-0 last year when he got x amount of carries, and dreadful when he did not. I think they're going to make him the face of that offense. They better, because Romo and that shit O-line definitely should not.

Not a lot of depth at RB though...that's your biggest weakness.

AP will likely get a lot of goal line touches but their coaching staff has already said they will significantly reduce his workload. Where he was previously seeing 25(+/-) touches per game they now expect it to be around 15.

Foster missed 3 games with a hammy, and then was healthy all year. Wasnt he 100% all year the year before also? I dont know if I consider him an injury risk, really.
