I had him last year..literally watched almost every Texans game; he wasn't "out" for too many games, but it felt like every game he would sit out for half the quarter due to "tweeking" something or hitting his head. Then Tate would beast for that half quarter.Laley23;1251043 wrote:Foster missed 3 games with a hammy, and then was healthy all year. Wasnt he 100% all year the year before also? I dont know if I consider him an injury risk, really.
So he might not be an injury risk like someone like say, AP, but he's definitely a risk to take #2 overall. -
Laley23
All I know, per game, he was the #1 back last year and I think #2 overall. He ended up #5 back, and that was sitting out week 17 and missing the first 3 weeks. Extrapolated over 16 games, he had like a 1800 yard season with 60 catches or something like that.SportsAndLady;1251098 wrote:I had him last year..literally watched almost every Texans game; he wasn't "out" for too many games, but it felt like every game he would sit out for half the quarter due to "tweeking" something or hitting his head. Id agree he isnt as durable as some others. But I dont think it is a stretch at all for the #2 overall pick. Obviously it depends on your choice of Foster/McCoy/Rice for what RB is top. But Foster isnt a bad pick at all, imo. -

He's not a bad pick...he's just more risky than McCoy. Or hell, Ray Rice for that matter. I had my top 3 backs (in a keeper league) as 1-Mccoy 2-Rice 3-FosterLaley23;1251102 wrote:All I know, per game, he was the #1 back last year and I think #2 overall. Thats fair. In PPR I dont like McCoy as much as I used to. His receptions/screens was drastically cut down last season, and Vick is so unpredictable with his health. I just like how much of a focus Baltimore and Houston put on their RBs. Philly is the opposite. But those as still the top 3 RBs by far, and Rodgers in there as well for the obvious top 4 picks this season, imo.SportsAndLady;1251106 wrote:He's not a bad pick...he's just more risky than McCoy. Not sure if I like or dislike that as a McCoy owner.. -

My first four picks went Rodgers, Welker, Murray, Martin. I felt like I was in a bind with RB's after going with Welker and may make a trade once I see how Murray, Martin(they have same bye weeks) and Colston/Decker fare. Rodgers, Welker and possibly Murray would be my untouchables.SportsAndLady;1250523 wrote:You got Rodgers w/ the 6th pick? wowwww
I like the Burleson and Tate picks. Tate will be good when Foster inevitably goes down for a few games. I'm big on Demarco Murray as well, I saw something where they were 5-0 last year when he got x amount of carries, and dreadful when he did not. I think they're going to make him the face of that offense. They better, because Romo and that shit O-line definitely should not.
Not a lot of depth at RB though...that's your biggest weakness.
RB's who were taken between my Welker(18th) and Murray pick(30th)...
Richardson(20th), Sproles(23rd), McFadden(24th)...Next three RB's picked were Charles, Gore and Stephen Jackson.
Two more drafts to go! -

If he's healthy there is NO way he only gets 15 touches a game.BR1986FB;1250536 wrote:AP will likely get a lot of goal line touches but their coaching staff has already said they will significantly reduce his workload. Where he was previously seeing 25(+/-) touches per game they now expect it to be around 15. -

That's what their coaching staff is saying right now.Rotinaj;1251222 wrote:If he's healthy there is NO way he only gets 15 touches a game. -

Ive heard the same thing. Injury history and aging will make an owner and coaching staff think twice about his work load.Rotinaj;1251222 wrote:If he's healthy there is NO way he only gets 15 touches a game. -

He's only 27. If he's healthy and only gets 15 touches a game the coaching staff will get laughed out of the league. You can't just not give one of the top 3 rbs in the league touches because of injury history.Laley23;1251386 wrote:Ive heard the same thing. justincredibleHad our draft on Sunday. I haven't really paid much attention to football so far so I have no idea how good my team will be. Based on Yahoo's simulated season I'll finish 2nd in my league (out of 8).

Someone with the team name Tebowner drafted him really late. Idiot.BR1986FB;1252986 wrote:Where's Tebow? -
Terry_TateAntonio Brown at 75 seems like a really good deal. I would think he's a borderline top 50 guy but I'm really high on him this season.

lol, I hope not. I'd hate to think I hang out with people in real life that would be friends with that guy.BR1986FB;1252990 wrote:Does he post on this site and have a hard on for all thing Florida? -

Pretty good team, even in an 8-team league. McCoy isn't lasting until 6th in a lot of places, getting Forte with the 27th overall was a steal, and getting Julio Jones with the 43rd overall was an uber-steal.justincredible;1252982 wrote:Had our draft on Sunday. I'd be ok with that team. Not great RBs but I like the WRs. We'll see how the real thing goes next week. -
justincredibleThis guy has the top ranked team in our league, according to Yahoo's projections:

Agree with all that. Top 3 QB, top 3 RB, top 2 TE, top 2 WR group at worst IMO, and top 4 D. Patriots-esque domination for you this year. -

Anyhow, that's clearly your biggest hole. Rodgers will be Rodgers, your WRs are good, TE is serviceable but you have zero RB unless Gore actually performs. I have my doubts that he will.
