Disgusted with Right Wing Apologists

It's becoming increasingly clear Trump is not a Republican. That doesn't make him a Democrat, but clearly he and the Repubs are not on the same page.

But it is interesting seeing conservatives like Rush side with Trump.

It's definitely a strange world for politics right now. Not just here, but over in Europe, too.
I never know what to make of what from one day to the next!

Heard a good argument for why DACA was announced when it was (along with States threatening legal action).

    https://twitter.com/PodSaveAmerica/status/905526586195238913

I generally agree with this. I would wager nothing is done in Congress and it goes away. Will be interesting to see if I'm right.
Im glad you made this thread just for me, but I'm neither a Trump fan, nor a Nazi (neither is he BTW)...just a moderately conservative Republican (because the alternative is so much worse and rapidly going socialist). We are, despite reports by the leftist media, not equivocal with white supremacists, Nazis, or even Trump himself!

Just trying to keep it real and hoping to help people like you from being radicalized and going off the deep edge.

I bottom lined Trump's action for you. DACA remains functioning. Congress has 6 months to pass much needed immigration reform/law. If it fails, then the current president will have the prerogative to pass an executive order to keep the government immigration system functioning within the scope of existing law.
In the meantime, please write/express to your congressman/congresswoman your views on immigration so they can properly represent their constituents.

That's the way a republic works!

Making law is reserved to the people. The executive is charged with implementing it and keeping the government functioning within the context of it. The executive does not make law on anything but a temporary basis to keep the government functioning.

You see Hits, CoA has joined the left wing mantra that if you don't happen to agree 100% with everything they believe then you are a white supremacist/Nazi/bigot/homophobe/xenophobe/etc. Pick your "deplorable".

That's not true, not even close.

Bro, come on man. I've never said you're a nazi or even a trump supporter. Not sure why you're so quick to jump to that. What I see you as is a right wing apologist. You're making excuses that you pick up from Fox News that seem reasonable. I get that. It's already been explained by that DACA excuse doesn't work, you've chosen to ignore it and chant your party line.

You also gave an absolutely abysmal excuse about Obama overstepping his boundaries, mainly bc you hate obama [LET IT BE KNOWN, I AM NOT CALLING YOU A RACIST, OK?] Why this is a poor excuse was outlined in Obama's speech, which you couldn't see bc you hate obama. I then linked you to SEVERAL Executive Orders (this is how DACA was started which you claimed wasn't legal (lol)) signed by Trump. I have yet to see you use the same logic there, bc you agree with the policies or aren't aware of them bc Fox News doesn't report on them in the same manner. Trump is also using executive orders in an unprecedented way, (IE much faster pace) than any president before him. Yet, I don't see you bitching about that, as you claim to hate when a president over steps his boundaries. This total lack of awareness and fairness makes you a right wing apologist.

    Does that help?

Stoppppppp.... I'm talking about DACA, and I said to evaluate each action on its own merits. Obama himself used the excuse that other presidents, Republican and Democrat had done similar actions.... Similar....BHO used precedent to expand that type of action even further. So the problem here is that he has advanced the power of the executive to create law...a precedent that now can be used by another executive (including Trump).
Executive actions are a necessary part of government but it's just not the number, but the type and how and why it is used.
Obama explained the intent of his action was temporary when he implemented it. I couldn't care less how he justifies it now.
That you are so far up his butt, and riled that Trump had the audacity to send this rightfully back to congress, demonstrates just how caught up you are in TDS.

Really. One question....why shouldn't this be back in Congress, the constitutionally rightful place for legislation?
  • gut
Besides, like half of Trumps "illegal" executive actions have been rolling back Obama's "illegal" executive actions. And, no, it's not the same thing.

DUUUUUUUDDDDEEEE, come the fuck on man. Obama isn't the first president to use executive order, JFC.

As for Congress, I throw it back at your regarding every single Trump Exec Order.

As for the timing of DACA, it's already been discussed. I've posted about it, others have commented, etc..... Please try and keep up.

Waiting on your retorts to every Trump Exec Order.... : thumbup:

    LOL....

    That's what I said (again).
I invite you to consider them all on their individual merit, and we'll discuss the ones you have a problem with.
Personally, I have a life beyond the OC and I'm not upset about every single executive action that BHO or DJT has issued. I am only discussing this particular one because of the controversy surrounding it.

    Being pro-religion doesn't make you anti-LBGT. That's a very broad brush.

"hosted by the anti-LGBT Family Research Council"

    http://www.frc.org/homosexuality

"Family Research Council believes that homosexual conduct is harmful to the persons who engage in it and to society at large, and can never be affirmed. It is by definition unnatural, and as such is associated with negative physical and psychological health effects."

    Yeah.......

    Yeah.......
That doesn't change my opinion. That is their stance on homosexuality, that isn't why they are a group in the first place. It isn't an Anti-LGBT group, it is a religious group that disagrees with homosexuality. They didn't come together and form a company for the sole purpose of going against homosexuals.

True. I can be disgusted with QO on any thread; don't need a specific one to call out that blind apologist!

I'm sure this is just fake news, like when Trump spoke at a noted hate group rally. (also most likely fake newz)

Despite the numerous reports to the contrary as well as eye witness accounts. You're correct, won't stop Trump from claiming otherwise.

Seems like an appropriate time to reshow this.

LMAO. A politician living a complete lie just to make a career by winning votes. Shocker.
