GOP Healthcare plan

  • QuakerOats
obamaKare is a complete disaster; there is nothing to salvage from it; it is over.

The state's can decide how to handle care for the truly poor.

Beyond that, if you want health insurance, find a job that provides that benefit, or buy the policy you want in a free marketplace. PERIOD.

It is really incredibly simple, once BIG government is out of the way.

GOP healthneglect plan is a total disaster. Nothing to salavge from millions of hard working americans having a more expensive health care plan or losing coverage all together.

    ....
    You wanna raise taxes gut?

Again, the issue is one of funding, which is a budget decision technically independent of the plan. Obamacare already had a hole in it in that states were going to be responsible for an increased percentage of their funding.

What's my problem with Obamacare? How about high premiums and deductibles - Affordable Care it is not. Like I said, it's a monstrosity that basically increased medicaid funding and eligibility in the most retarded way possible. Perhaps the saddest part of it all was millions of people enrolled were ALREADY eligible under existing medicaid programs and didn't know it (basically ACA the most expensive entitlement advertising in history).

The ONLY reason Dems still defend Obamacare is they want to be able to say "we gave really shitty healthcare to millions of Americans". And they won't cross the aisle or work with Repubs to fix it because politics.

Apologies in advance for being a tad harsh...but John McCain needs to just quick fucking around and die.

Can't argue with you. I called his office and Rand Paul's on Friday to raise hell. McCain's phone lines were over-flooded; left him a scathing email instead. Got through to Pauls' office and let the guy that answered have it. Fuckheads.

Can't be too critical, since I believe the country would be better off if Trump keeled over during one of his ANGRY Twitter outbursts.

Next time, can you record one of these calls and share?

While I disagree with him politically, I at least think he'd be in office working towards a goal other than "MAKE SURE MY NAME IS ALL THE HEADLINES!!1!!!!1111" and that he'd have better things to do with his time than feud online with whomever his magic 8-ball (or regular 8-ball of the powder) tells him to. Better to have competency you disagree with than sheer idiocy; that's what compromise is all about!

They aren't YOUR representatives - they answer to the voters in KY and AZ, respectively. You should have been told to "go find yourself".

Shhh...he's the self-appointed spokesman for "THE PEOPLE". No state lines, districts or actual logic will stop him from yelling at random interns.

I was happy to point out that I am free to contribute $$$$$$$$$ to their upcoming opponents, as are millions of others.

Unless you are a billionaire contributor, you might as well just set fire to a pile of cash. That's the only demographic GOP/conservatives truly care about.

What is was is that people don't get that John McCain is just giving cover to people like Rob Portman who don't want to vote for a bill that every stakeholder in the healthcare industry opposes.

Reality: Something like Obama care was always the conservative approach to inching toward universal health insurance coverage. The GOP lied to its voters for years and then the dog caught the car and didn't know what to do.

no Mccain is doing this to spite Trump. He cant stand Obama care and the only reason he is playing this game is because he doesnt like Trump and is trying to sabatoge his 2020 bid
  • ppaw1999
If the Right were able to get this bill passed, it would end up being as big of an albatross for the Right as Obamacare has been for the Left. Be careful what you wish for.

But even with McCain, they'd still be a vote short.

If it wasn't McCain it would have been someone else. McCain allows the Trump lovers like yourself to blame McCain rather than the GOP as a whole.

When McCain dies and derpy Roy Moore gets to the Senate and HealthSouth and every other healthcare provider beats down the door in Bama to explain what repealing Ocare would do to his people they'll have to find some other lame duck moderate to take the fall.

    Take it to the bank.

Mind you...notice there is no blame for God Emperor Trump who didn't to nothing to lobby for an Ocare repeal and had no idea what was in the bills etc. It's always the swamp's fault....never the buffoon embarrassing the nation every day.
