CNN has tracked down the maker of the meme, forced him to apologize, and said if he does it again they will publicly out who he is. Lol they are a dumpster fire.

That Trump is president and posts stuff like that is embarassing, but the reaction to this has been laughable. Who gives a fuck about a humorous internet meme? Stuff like that needs to just be called out as immature and otherwise ignored. CNN needs to grow some thicker skin and get over it.

Quite ironic coming from the network of anonymous sources.

Yup. As stupid as Trump was to tweet it out, he basically comes out on top of this now due to the extremely dumb reaction by CNN and other political idiots. Maybe CNN should spend their time identifying actual violent rioters or antifa folk instead of supposed 15 year old gif makers. It wasn't even that bad of a gif have they visited the actual internet??
And we are supposed to believe that CNN is a neutral news organization?

Not to throw a wet blanket on all this, but it does not matter yet.
At this point in 2013 the RNC was doing their autopsy of the 2012 election and it did not matter as Trump did the exact opposite of everything it said, and he got elected.
2020 is just short of 3.5 years away, a ton of things can happen between now and then. Plus, the midterms in 2018 may dramatically change the narrative.
It is pointless to speculate to who may be in the running for the Ds in 2020. It could be a favorite, or it could be someone we have not heard of yet.

Uhh, last I checked, those were two of the largest states population wise states of the union. Kinda hard to just discount them. Cal is #1, NY is #4.

This site is the go to to show how, adjusted for population, the election was closer than just the typical red v. blue state electoral map.

    Yes...it wasn't a landslide. It was still a pretty solid W.
True, but I was just offering in the modern Presidential history, it was not a landslide.

It's pretty laughable to see both sides getting in their own way. Like you said, all they had to do was address Trump's tweet as ANOTHER example of the POTUS being an immature child, but instead they wanted to take it up 1000000 notches and act as if this was the beginning of Hitler's uprising. Just based on the reaction out of all of this, Trump is looking like he is coming out the winner (in a match of two losers). Nobody is even talking about his tweets regarding Mika, and now the discussion is changing to the reaction to the tweet and not the tweet itself.

Just to post the link http://www.cnn.com/2017/07/04/politics/kfile-reddit-user-trump-tweet/index.html

CNN is trying to fuck with reddit... Not smart at all. Chances are they will regret doing so. Also, I find this a bit problematic:
CNN wrote:CNN is not publishing "HanA**holeSolo's" name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again. In addition, he said his statement could serve as an example to others not to do the same.

CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.
Can someone explain to me how this isn't coercion? This is why I blast "progressives." Is this really the world they want to live in where media giants go out of there way to blackmail private users on anonymous forums? Yeah the dude posted shit that makes him look like a POS and there probably is a good chance he is a POS, but this is no different than OC. I would say that 95% of us have posted shit here that we would not want our employer to see. What CNN is doing is the same thing (much larger scale) as the asshole who sent CC's posts to his employer. Both can go fuck themselves.

No. No one is doing that. They're just looking more infantile. Which takes some doing, but they're doing it.

Exactly. It's only a matter of time before Trump one ups them.

Even though the "win" for Trump would be to say nothing and let CNN twist in the wind. Doubt he can help himself.

Trump's lean payroll could save taxpayers as much as $22M: report
By Olivia Beavers - 07/02/17 08:43 PM EDT

President Trump could save taxpayers as much as $22 million from working with a leaner White House payroll, Forbes reported Sunday.
The piece is written by a contributor who used his nonprofit, OpenTheBooks.com, to assess the savings Trump is projected to have compared to former President Obama.
On Friday, the White House released its annual report to Congress detailing the names, statuses and salaries of 377 employees.
The findings, according to Forbes, suggest Trump's administration employs 100 fewer staff members than Obama, which could ultimately yield $5.1 million in payroll savings when compared to fiscal 2015 under Obama.

First lady Melania Trump's office is staffed with five staffers, compared with the reported 24 staffers who served Michelle Obama in her first year in 2009.
Both administrations have the same number of top advisers with the title of “Assistant to the President” — 22. Those who serve under Trump reportedly make almost $8,000 more a year, with a salary of $179,700 compared to Obama's advisers, who received a top pay of $172,000 in his first year.
The Forbes analysis found that unlike Obama, Trump has not hired "czars," or people who lead special initiatives. Obama had dozens of these people in such roles, with some making around or more than $100,000 a year.
Two of Trump's top advisers, Gary Cohn and Christopher Liddell, are paid reduced salaries of $30,000, the lowest salaries among all White House staff.
Cohn is the director of the White House National Economic Council and formerly served as the president of Goldman Sachs. Liddell, who serves as the director of strategic initiatives in the White House, also formerly served as Microsoft's chief financial officer.
Trump repeatedly vowed on the campaign trail to shrink the government.
Trump also said he'll donate his annual salary to the Department of the Interior so that it could work on repairs and other needs at military cemeteries.

It would be nice if he would...however unlikely.

Shocker. I can't believe CNN thought going after a random reddit user was a good idea. Fucking with reddit/4chan/etc is a horrible idea. Now there are alleged reports they might have targeted the wrong person.

Should have just focused on featuring the other gif I saw of Stone Cold Steve Austin beating the shit out of Trump with the Department of Justice (I think) logo plastered over his face. Do that and all is good. Act like a little bitch over it and, well, get treated as such.

Well, except for the minor detail that if someone is acting like an infant and then someone else acts like even more of an infant, no one with a working brain actually thinks the first person suddenly looks mature.

This and I can probably think of 100 different ways to respond that would have been better. If they need a new PR/Risk management consultant I am more than willing to be paid to do it for them.

Well, shit, you remember the last presidential lead-up, where they tried to have Hillary doing "hip" things to relate to younger voters, only for it to come off like a poorly-animated mannequin attempting to feign humanity?

Think about how many well-paid, otherwise intelligent people consented to CNN's response. Mind Boggling.

Hence the prepositional phrase, by comparison...
