Given all the things that have leaked, and still nothing incriminating we've heard of....to be going back to the beginning, the foundation and alleged basis of this entire investigation at this stage probably isn't a positive sign for the impeachment hopefuls.
Looks more like Mueller hasn't found anything and is now wondering who in hell started all this and why. -
ppaw1999Various reports, however, have been consistent that the dossier was first paid for by anti-Trump Republicans and then Democrats took over its financing as the 2016 election campaign progressed.
It looks like the Right and the Left started it. -

Don't disagree with any of that. I believe it was McCain that delivered it to the FBI. None of that is a crime, and that's how opposition research goes. My question is how and why was this used to justify the investigation (if that is indeed the case), and was it critical to dubious FISA warrants? That's where questions of abuse of power and possibly some other really shady stuff need to be answered.
I'm not really into the deep state/establishment theories - seems a level of savvy, effectiveness and organization that isn't remotely reflected in policy accomplishments. But I've said from the beginning that it seemed incredibly unlikely for both Trump to be clean AND for this investigation to have been justified (i.e. not politically motivated).
It certainly seems possible, in order to preserve faith and confidence, that Mueller is engaged in the herculean task of exonerating Trump AND justifying the investigation. Yep, I'm saying there could be a cover-up in play that few people saw coming. -

CenterBHSFanHere's some of the good posts of tantrums, but not all of them by any means:

like_thatLOL at zwick. He hasn't been around in awhile. Since the election actually.
I remember calling him out on "democratic socialism" asking him what is the difference from "regular" socialism. Just like Bernie, he couldn't give an answer, so instead he acted like a smug fuck and pretended that he is smarter than everyone else. Par for the course for him. -

I know this is an older question, but honestly, if you're looking for one at the national level who might be able to significantly move the needle, probably not.Commander of Awesome;1822659 wrote:Fair, any particular great leader/politician in the Libertarian Party to follow?
Austin Petersen is okay. He's a little dull, but he's smart and sober-minded.
Larry Sharpe is a pretty solid guy, but nobody really knows who he is, so the odds of him actually making any real relevant push are almost nil.
Probably your best bet would be Justin Amash.
Not really very charismatic, the lot of them. Personalities are closer to what you'd expect from a librarian or college professor.
I mean, there are more charismatic people in the party (Jesse Ventura and John McAfee come immediately to mind), but mostly, they're either assholes or insane.
Raw Dawg seemed to be pretty salty, too.like_that;1878623 wrote:LOL at zwick. He hasn't been around in awhile. Since the election actually.

IIRC, Zwick is in his Blissfully Blue state of Colorado. I imagine him cutting his grass, daydreaming of the good ole days and joining antifa.like_that;1878623 wrote:LOL at zwick. He hasn't been around in awhile. Since the election actually.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what was up when I heard Mueller was looking at the Dossier and questioning people. Over a year into the investigation, you don't usually go back and examine the foundation of opening the investigation in the first place. I can think of only two reasons - a cover-up of the political fishing expedition or he's actually going after (which seems very unlikely) people in the Obama Administration or Hillary Campaign.QuakerOats;1878599 wrote:Russia hoax now turning toward the truth of the Uranium One bribery crimes, and criminality of Clinton Inc and obama DoJ. -

I don't think it was a "meltdown", per say. Just a little fit lolGOONx19;1878674 wrote:I stand by my “meltdown”. Trump is a joke and continues to display ignorance and intolerance on a seemingly weekly basis.
But I do agree with you, Trump is just ... unreal. The only thing we can do is wait it out. -
CenterBHSFanI should add that I most likely would have thrown a fit too - if I wasn't just so stupefied. So wholly shocked.
I mean, maybe not. I've seen enough listings of the political ship that my time of fit throwing has passed. So, I don't know. -

If you look at the 2012 election thread, there were definitely fits being thrown in there. The only difference is the large scale autistic screeching hasn't really stopped a year later. -

QuakerOatsHouse Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., said Wednesday that his biggest questions concern to what extent the FBI relied on that document to launch its Russia probe.
“My focus has always been whether or not the Department of Justice and the FBI relied upon an unsourced CI document to launch a counterintelligence investigation,” he told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.” “I want to know whether the nation’s premier law enforcement agency relied on a document that looks like the National Enquirer prepared it. … And if they relied upon an unsourced, un-vetted document to launch a really important investigation … then I think our country is big enough to handle that truth.”
He noted that representatives with Fusion GPS pleaded the Fifth in a Capitol Hill appearance last week.
“Usually people plead the Fifth when they think the answer’s going to get them in trouble,” he said. -

BoatShoesI still have mini-smh meltdowns when I'm driving in the car from time-to-time hearing commentators debate and say "President Trump" (OMFG this is real life Donald Trump really is the President of the U.S. lol).
To date, I am still a bit worried about the very high cyclically adjusted price-to-earning ratios that are at the center of the Bull Market. Seems Trump and the GOP really are the confidence fairies and it made sense to believe they wouldn't be THIS incompetent.
I wonder what happens if Trump appoints a derp like Kevin Warsh to replace Janet Yellen at the FED and then tax reform goes the way of obamacare repeal on Christmas Eve. -
