Russia is not a great geopolitical foe. It is a nuisance that refuses to accept its role and is getting slapped around by sanctions. The only reason we are talking about Russia is because the GOP voter base nominated a complete buffoon who hired staff symapathetic to Russia and has, found himself expressing pro-russia positions. Annoying Russian Hackers? They have been hacking banks and credit cards for years but thatvdoesnt get the press that the DNC does.

The U.S. and Russia are in a very concerning cyber-security, "spy war" right now. NSA and the Kremlin have been hacked. It's not just banks and credit cards. The U.S. is very aware of what Russia has done and the information they have on the U.S....and vice-versa. They are basically threatening each other to not reveal publicly how they spy on each other.

Praytell, did you vote for Obama in his first term? He had the same level of experience.

Trump has no community organizing and agitating experience; I don't think he has liberal lawyering experience either. He also has no experience being a senator in D.C., nor does it appear that has any experience in being loved by the Washington establishment/insider elites. But..........carry on ....

LOL. Russia is right now massing troops on the border of Ukraine for a likely offensive to at the very least create a land bridge between Russia and the Crimea.

    http://freebeacon.com/national-security/russian-military-forces-staging-near-ukraine/

The Russians have an active military presence in Syria where they bomb CIA trained rebels.

    They arm Iran.

They are wooing Turkey. NATO is going to lose Turkey at some point. Book it.

Yeah I guess the Russians are really getting bitch slapped.
  • Con_Alma
Russia has nuclear weapons. That alone is enough to be a geopolitical force should they get even more desperate with their place in the world. The nature of their relationships with other countries like Iran make them very worthy of always being a focus of our international diplomacy efforts.

The "community organizing" part might be true, but I'd suggest that a LOT of what he has done during his stumping has been precisely what you might describe as "community agitating."

Liberal? He sure has been in the past, sure.

Lawyer? I hope not. He seems to know remarkably little about the legally-outlined rights of citizens, instead talking about "rights" like pie in the sky.

Senator in DC? No. Just a silver spoon child trapped in a state of arrested development who was gifted his first CEO job five months out of college.

As for not being loved by the Washington establishment, an ideologically inconsistent, domineering walking powder keg is hardly lovable by anyone with any agenda, even a benevolent one. The only ones who would are, as the study above showed, people who wish to have authority tell them what they are and are not allowed to do with a higher level of frequency.

You can criticize Obama or Trump for their technical differences in specificity, but the two are fairly similar if you don't count their personality. They're both authoritarian, self-interested windbags who had little to no experience in elected office, but who had experience playing the game with those who DO have experience in elected office. Just because one is passive aggressive and the other is just aggressive, it doesn't make them night and day. It makes them night and later that night.

You must like that authority bs ....... your new talking point.

I am voting for Trump, and I hate authority, especially federal authority emanaing from marxist officials. I guess I am must be in the stupid redneck group then.

India has nukes too. They are not a geopolitical "foe". Romney said geopolitical foe not force and it is completely different.

You already said there would be full on war in ukraine and that the die was cast for as much after the last olympics and all that has happened is Russia has faltered.

I will book that none of what you fear is worth fearing. It is like getting excited that Trump hired breitbart news to run his, campaign. Desperate moves of a flailing loser.

I like my country to be run by normal people and not staffers from breitbart news, reality tv and lobbying firms sympathetic to the former communists in the soviet bloc. Apparently so do the former staffers of the Reagan, Bush 41 and Bush 43 administrations.

Keep moving those goalposts bro. Romney was much closer to being right about Russia, Iraq/ISIS, and Iran than Obama was. Obama struck out on all three and it isn't even close. You're still living in 2009. Russia is more than relevant now.

Face it Obama has been mediocre (and that's pushing it) at best when it comes to foreign policy. Is it going to take another 4 years of Russia laying their dick out in front of the US for you to actually admit Obama was wrong? I have my doubts, you will forever be an Obama sheep. Bahhhhhh bahhhh bahhhh.

This is why Obama fanboys/girls are the worst. They are incapable of being critical of their celebrity idol. People who treat their politicians as if they are their favorite athlete are no better than the dipshit low info voters out there. In fact I would argue the fanboys are even worse considering some have a brain and choose ignorance.

Indeed but "foe" is your word not mine. Are you suggesting that Russia is a "foe"?

I would suggest that the U.S. have the same focus with India with regards to maintaining a "healthy" relationship as I would hope we always are hoping to do with RUssia.

Just curious, why are you so hell bent on getting Obama lovers to admit he's garbage? It's a waste of time and keyboard strokes. I still know Berntards who conveniently ignore his support of Hillary, when deep down they know it's against everything they "stood for." Once people achieve a high level of fandom/support they're not backing off. Same goes for Trump supporters. He could punch a man in the face on live TV...they won't give a shit.

A lot of presidents have been disliked, but the real question is simply whether they were defenders of the Constitution, effective in defending The People, and supportive of economic policy that allowed for growth and opportunity.

    Good luck.

Not looking for them to say he is garbage, but I would just like for people to man up admit he was wrong and be critical of him. No president is perfect and they act like he is the greatest president of all time. I have had numerous people tell me he is a top 5 president of all time and that's biggest load of shit I have ever heard.

I am not hell bent over it, but I think it's necessary to call anyone out on that type of shit to make us feel comfortable with being able to criticize the people we support. It goes both ways as you just pointed with your post. The sooner the majority of this country is comfortable not being a complete fanboy for their party or candidates then the sooner we don't get fuck head candidates running for the White House. What I am doing is no different than what you all do with ccrunner and Quaker. You guys have that in check, and since I lean on the right side, I am more inclined to do it to people like boatshoes.

I'm with you 100%. I'll be thrilled to see the day when people are more critical of politicians where they can set aside their dumbass party lines and blind support. I doubt it happens anytime soon. Maybe my grandkids we'll see it...if I have them.

Well there was war in Ukraine with large numbers of Russian troops and equipment fighting on the ground in Ukraine. The Ukrainians were pushed back and Putin took a strategic pause. Now it looks like its time slice off another piece.

Those pesky little Russians are as much of a nuisance in Europe as Germany was in the 1930's. But hey the only reason anyone is paying any attention to the Russians is Trump had hired Paul Manafort.

Time for another review. Obama could not have been more wrong and Romney right.
