Hillary Clinton

With the 2016 presidential election starting to fire up, why not start a thread about the Democratic front-runner, and soon to be candidate, former FLOTUS and former SoS, Hillary Clinton?

What are her chances to win the presidency? Will her husband be a help or a hindrance? Will the notorious Clinton scandals follow her during her campaign? What obstacles does she face?

Three headlines within this past week that caught my eye:
    1. The long awaited announcement that she will run (or not) is anticipated to be made next month in April.
    2. The Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation stated on their tax forms that donations were accepted from foreign sources.
    3. It has been discovered that as SoS, Hillary Clinton set up a personal, non-governmental email system that she used exclusively for her job as SoS.

I personally think she is not necessarily the Shoe-In for the D nomination as many of her supporters think that she is. But then again, even with all the bad press she has gotten this week, once the campaign gets into gear this and next year, she might be able to claim that all of these stories are old news and no one will remember or consider these issues once votes are cast in November 2016.

What are your thoughts on Hillary?

four dead Americans on her watch and still no answers. Not Presidential material as proven
when the alarm when off she was asleep ...

Took 4 days for the email issue to come up on here.....wow. Surprised no one was all over it.

Ehh, I wasn't a huge fan of Hillary and then I read the Robert Gates memoir. Gates is a straight shooter and had nothing but praise for Clinton. I was kinda surprised by that.
Right now, I would take over over any of the R's in the field, but not by much, and that could very well change.

But, her email fail is just so dumb. What a breach of security in an age of cyber attacks and hacks.

So what's good for the goose isn't good for the gander. What the difference between Scott Gration and Hillary?

She is a disgusting, evil pig. And most likely the next dictator of this country.

My thoughts are she will be terrible worse than Obama and Bush combined terrible.

This country has proven in the last 20 years that they don't give a fuck about integrity. The media especially will not hold any liberal candidate accountable, so unfortunately everything tied to Hillary will just be swept under a rug. I think she will be worse than Obama, and I find her to be a huge hypocrite when it comes to being a feminist.

Barring incompetence at the Federal Reserve, 60% chance the Democrat is going to win and since she is the likely nominee it is likely to me that she is the next president of the United States and defeats Jeb Bush easily who will snuff out any challengers with the big donor money.

I think she does a better job than Obama because she and Bill have dealt with the right wing for years whereas Obama just shuts down when people disagree with him and fails to see why anybody could reasonably disagree with him. For instance, Hillary still gets high praise from high ranking Republican Senators that Obama never got.

Conservatives will lose their minds though and continue to give money to people clamoring that Hillary will bring about the end of the United States, etc. If this place is still around there should be more threads suggesting that "the economic collapse is inevitable" etc.

At this point, to support her, you believe:
    1) She is above the law.
    2) She gets to write her own rules and there is no arguing about it.
    3) You ignore her ability to fail to respond to her 3:00 am call. All she can say is, "no".
    4) She is using her perverted husband for political use only; she's perverted herself.
    5) She is as poor as she says she is.
    6) You want to elect her merely because she has a vagina. It's the single most important issue... to make history, like electing the worst-experienced candidate EVER in 2008.

Quite the scorecard y'all have there. Better round up all of the Low Information Voters from this country and all those south of Texas you can find.

you guys crack me up. Don't all of you remember how she totally lost the Dem nomination last time.

Hilary is so toxic and has a long resume of incompetence.

She barely lost to Obama who liberals thought was like the great liberal hope. There is no Obama out there who gave a speech at the 2012 Democratic National Convention. If she enters the race she will win barring an extreme event.

But it doesn't matter who the Democrats nominate in any case so long as it is not Joe Biden. They will beat Jeb Bush.

Did she actually lose or did they just "call it"?

I remember her being in contention, but the Democrats have people who are like the "Wizard of Oz" I believe they are SuperPacs or something. Like, they do those primaries, but they must think the primaries are through normal people who should be treated like ants and they need a super ant (superpac) just in case the low life ants pick the wrong person?

I was thinking Obama was winning the ant race, but Clinton was not mathematically out of the normal ant votes, but then the Super Ants wanted Obama and Clinton back out because the Wizard of Oz was on Obama's side?

Do republicans have Super Pacs or do they think the people can vote in an election with enough intelligence for the Rhino's to get the right guy in with simple Propaganda?

Or am I completely wrong about this super pac thing?

You are not wrong, Chief Yahoo.

The president is basically a chump controlled by "others".

she barely lost to someone that wasn't even on the political radar 6 months earlier. HC doesn't need a Manchurian candidate this time around. She is screwing it up on her own.

I actually agree with parts of your post. She will most likely win the nod, and she has the edge if Bush wins the GOP nod (which I hope doesn't happen). I don't think she is a shoe in at all though, though Bush would be her best matchup.

Hillary is the epitome of how divided this country is imo, not sure I see her at all working with republicans.

This is why I call her a feminist hypocrite. Her husband fucks a fat intern while in office, and Hillary still keeps his last name... Any women who claims to be independent would not stay with their husband, let alone keep their husband's last name.

This is a good point. She lost to a junior senator. She is not that good at campaigning, and when she is put not the spot on live tv when the questions are not scripted, she sounds like a fucking idiot.

The Clintons' talent is in making dipshits think they care about them....Obama too...both examples of socialists using the govt to get rich off the people.

Sadly this is the main reason. It may even work because like Obama, who everyone who opposed him was a racist, anyone who opposes Hilary is not for equality and is a sexist. I can already see the liberal media spin.

Hillary has a vigina, if history proves anything Bill likes lip service...... ;)

Hillary is in trouble if there's a half-Mexican, half-American Indian transgender female out there thinking about running....and Elizabeth Warren checks at least 2 or 3 of those boxes.

I don't care if you vote for Hillary because you are a democrat or left leaning, but if you actually "like" her, then you are quite possibly brain dead.
  • Heretic
I guess that if Hillary wins the nomination, it would provide more evidence that both parties are in bed with each other, as this time, it'd be the Ds offering up a retread who previously failed to get the nomination in order to give the other side a boost, following in the Rs recent footsteps with McCain and Romney.

There is little doubt that she, or any democrat, will win; the math associated with the electoral map makes it nearly impossible anymore for a republican to win nationally. There are simply far more takers, i.e. dem voters, in the largest states who either outnumber outright the R's, or who in combination with the liberals in those states quite easily outnumber republican voters. Most of these states are now lost for good, they have gone well beyond the tipping point and will likely forever vote to take from the federal treasury, which equates to a handout/payback from the democrat prez and administration.

And as despicable, hateful, and liberal as she is, she would actually be better than obama. Yes, I just said that.

JUST had this discussion at lunch yesterday.
