fish82It's only a matter of how big the GOP majority will be when the dust clears. The fact that the Senate is going to change hands really isn't in dispute.

6 seats is hardly a slam-dunk. Dems are raising money and circling the wagons and will funnel a bunch of money to where they have the best chance to hang-on to a slim majority.fish82;1595568 wrote:It's only a matter of how big the GOP majority will be when the dust clears. And if the Tea Party runs a bunch of "3rd party" choices (as we saw in the recent FL special election) to take away votes it could give a pivotal race or two to the Dems. Or if conservatives shoot themselves in the foot selecting some "radical" Tea Party loon in the primary it will hurt as well.
Also begs the question, given that Tea Party faction, if the Repubs could unify to actually exploit a slim majority in the Senate. That will be compounded by likely grandstanding from Rubio and Cruz, among others, as they position themselves for a POTUS run. -
gutI'd add that Obamakare also is not a slam-dunk for Repubs. Some conservatives, like Rush Limbaugh, are insisting on killing Obamakare, and I'm not sure that's a winning strategy. If conservatives stay home over a more moderate approach to fix/replace, then that could also be adversely decisive.

Hope so, if for no other reason than to see if Obama will continue to accuse Repubs of being obstructionist....because, you know, Obama is the only guy that won an election.fish82;1595786 wrote:7-9 seats. Bank it.
