Yes, let's throw away what our forefathers and founding fathers worked so hard to preserve and protect.
    What a hack.

No, the sane people can keep all that in their half; the radical leftists can start anew with their warped view of the world.

Lol, you're just as insane on your side as the radical leftists are on theirs with how your only purpose is to be as over-the-top divisive as humanly possible because *GASP* a large number of people don't look at things the way you do.

Sounds to me like the ole, well the north can keep their radical views, just leave us sane people in the south alone.

    Come on. Seriously?

You know the republic is in serious trouble when defending liberty and advocating for fiscal sanity is termed "insane" by otherwise seemingly intelligent people.

Look no further than the TSA for proof we should want the govt doing less rather than more. But even most Republicans are guilty of pushing more government to "solve problems"....because for politicians more govt = more money, power and influence.

I don't really want to jump on the "let's split the country apart bandwagon" but I don't know that our founding fathers would be radically opposed to it. Seems to me they would support it.

It's not the right or the left that are insane; it's the vocal extremes on each end that are insane. These are the minority that have no flexibility in their thinking, believe they are always correct and that anyone who disagrees is stupid, etc, etc. These are the groups throughout history - not just American history, but world history - that have given us practically every human-caused tragedy you can imagine.

It need not be tragic ......... we can do this in a cooperative manner I would think.

Like the Second Amendment Democrate would love to see go away.... pt1 I enjoy your writing, comments and views. It is interesting how you twist issues and justify wrong and failure.

    And, way to quote yourself.

Name one D that says they want it to go away. Quote them directly. Please. Seriously.

Completely agree. Both ends of the spectrum have sucked the air out of the room, leaving the moderate middle, compromise, and governance, little room to breath.

Many people on here that have stated they are atheist/agnostic were raised Christian. So it is quite obvious from the OC anecdotes that confirmation bias isn't as strong in the OC as you believe.
I wasn't referring to the rest of the OC. I was referring to you.

The federalists and anti-federalists managed to live together after the passing of the alien and sedition acts. I am sure you can handle a few triggered social justice warriors.

I guess we all can't just be logical on these touchy subjects, some have to immediately jump to the emotional and flip out...on both sides of the argument.

Just a 5 second Google search that I am sure you could do led me to:
    Dr. Paul McHugh
    Dr. Keith Ablow
Yes Jmog...I engaged in the logical fallacy of making fun of you.

see how you want pin point, specified names and comments . Like Liberal Democrate politicians will commit self inflicted public casteration for their beliefs, opinions and agenda. That is not going to happen and you know it but this is once again your way of supporting the wrong ideology that you've taken hook line and sinker. Pt1 Obama would do this in a heart beat an Hillary a close second .... Huffington post article about Obama repeal of the second amendment. Look it you're a smart guy start to think for yourself

Of course none of them are going to come out and say that that is their goal. That would be political suicide. They do like to try to chip away at it though don't they. Of course, you knew this being the big shot Washington insist you portray here on the OC.

One of my biggest disappointments about the Obama Administration is they allowed Lerner to walk with her pension, no doubt to buy her silence.

Nearly half of Washington, D.C. employers said they have either laid off employees or reduced the hours of employees to adapt to the District of Columbia’s minimum wage hikes since 2014, according to a report from the Employment Policies Institute.

Liberalism always generates the exact opposite of its stated intent.
When can we get these jackasses off the backs of business.
