Disgusted with obama administration - Part II

sleeperReally anything besides Fox news, MSNBC, and the Huff Po can be okay. The reality is if you ever post an article from the Huff Po, you should be instantly thread banned and castrated so you can't have offspring.

The Federalist, Breitbart, Drudge, etc. Let's not be coy, here, and repeatedly bring up that Post link as if it's the bulk of what QQuaker posts as links on a near-daily basis. Links to which I've never seen you respond in a "Whoa, now wait a minute, you're getting too right wing with that stuff. Better go to something else to get a better perspective!"HitsRus;1706898 wrote:^^^The Washington Post? -

...and yet a not a single 'Pub voted for this version. Oh, let's see that's because this Prez is black and all Republicans are racists....and they hate women , too!BoatShoes;1706761 wrote:The main purpose of Obamacare was to figure out a way to keep a private, for-profit insurance system and make sure that sick people could still get health insurance. Keep moving the goal posts, and make them wide enough to make the claim, "It's Good!" 45 million uninsured and so far you've managed to get 11 million of them to sign up at gunpoint. Ignore the fact that it was/is a tax on the middle class, was partisanly rushed thru and was misrepresented.
Yeah, "It's Good!" -

The post you are referring to was by like that.... and I only suggested that there are two sides to the arguement to COA...and that the Huff Po's viewpoint is spun pretty far to the left.Heretic;1706904 wrote:The Federalist, Breitbart, Drudge, etc. Let's not be coy, here, and repeatedly bring up that Post link as if it's the bulk of what QQuaker posts as links on a near-daily basis. We all pretty know which side of the aisle Quaker is coming from...you can take him or leave him as you see fit. -

Again, I could've used any source. It was based off gruber's comments. Really doesn't matter what source is reporting it. He said it.Heretic;1706881 wrote:Just the complete comedy of a person criticizing another for using a link to a progressive site when certain other posters use links from right wing sites with regularity under the misguided notion that they're spreading truth or whatever they tell themselves.
Sort of this "My side will use anything under the sun, but you guys need to run your sources through us to make sure they're all good and non-biased." kind of foolishness. -

The statists #1 heart-tugger was the promise to make sure the 40,000,000+ people who either voluntarily or involuntarily didn't have the "right kind" of healthcare insurance are covered in a government-mandated system. A large majority of citizens believe everyone should have access to insurance, so the statists made this the lynchpin.
So far, the scoreboard isn't showing well for the Obama kool-aid society. 11 million out of 40+ million isn't going to convince the citizenry that the program is a "success", no matter how much lipstick and mascara you apply.
Next, would you like to measure its success by how many taxpayers saved $2,500 on their premiums? -
rydawg5FWIW I think Obama has done a better job than Bush Jr. That might be like Brian Hoyer being better than Johnny Manziel.

I think the $2500 must have referred to Obama voters, a.k.a the 47%, who would escape paying higher taxes to fund this massive entitlement.BGFalcons82;1706941 wrote: Next, would you like to measure its success by how many taxpayers saved $2,500 on their premiums? -

Cleveland BuckWe should rejoice in the streets if DHS is defunded, but it will never happen. They are playing games, but both sides love huge bureaucracies that trample on the rights of the people.

Classyposter58I don't think we should continue to be "disgusted" about the Obama presidency. He has had some down moments but the stock market is very strong, hiring is at its strongest since the late 90s, unemployment is down and the ACA seems to actually be making some good headway. All things considered things are definitely better than they were in 2008

obama campaigned on helping Main St., not Wall St. Yet Wall St. is up while real wages on Main St are down.Classyposter58;1707348 wrote:I don't think we should continue to be "disgusted" about the Obama presidency. Unemployment is simply horrific as is employment --- fewer working today than in decades; most others have given up looking.
obamaKare is the largest legislative and administrative disaster in the history of the nation, and it is one of the biggest reasons why economic growth is terrible (especially coming out of a recession).
This country is sick, and without leadership. Not a good situation at all. -

The entire "net neutrality" argument is really an extension of class warfare and faux consumerism to create another political wedge issue.QuakerOats;1707771 wrote:

And along those same lines, T-Mobile is whining about how it isn't fair to them in spectrum auctions because VZW and AT&T have too much money to bid. Well, T-Mobile, maybe charge your customers more so you can bid more. -

Or T-Mobile could borrow the money if they think owning these spectrums will produce a higher ROI. It's lazy.gut;1707783 wrote:The entire "net neutrality" argument is really an extension of class warfare and faux consumerism to create another political wedge issue.
