I can't imagine being forced to make life altering split second decisions with the ability to create death at the touch of a finger on a daily basis. And then to come back here and try to explain it to those that have no idea what that is like has to be hard. Keep trying, though.
On another subject, politically-speaking, the Abu Gharib situation won't be brought up by the Left anytime soon as their boy is at the helm now. If Bush was responsible for torturing prisoners to gain knowledge of how to protect American soldiers, then isn't Obama equally responsible of this situation? Can't have it both ways.
That is such BS. I'm not going to sit here and presume to know what it is like to be in a combat situation, and not know who is a combatant and who is a civilian, when the bullets are flying, and when you have to make life and death decisions. I can't imagine being in that situation, and don't know how i would react, and would never presume to judge those who have been and have had to make decisions. I'm thankful every single day for the men and women who do put themselves in those situations to help keep us safe.
This isn't that type of situation, not even close, and to imply otherwise is complete and utter shit. What "split-second" decisions were these dudes making? Unless i'm missing something completely, this is simply cold-blooded, fucked up murder. It doesn't take someone who has been in that situation to know that it is wrong. We can all judge THESE INDIVIDUAL MEN for the actions they took. Notice i didn't say the entire armed forces, or even the rest of their unit. But these INDIVIDUAL MEN should and can be judged, even by those of us who have never been in that situation. That is our fucking job. Not to let people get away with this shit.
Any fucking human being knows that what these men did is wrong, if the stories coming out are true. Which, at this point, i don't know how they aren't, considering we have the evidence right here in front of us. These men committed inhuman actions. Fucking Nazi-esque actions. Talking about throwing candy to children and then shooting them as they grab it? For the love of god. Every human being is born with the knowledge to judge these men and condemn them for it. I could have grown up in a fucking bubble with only kittens and rainbows for company, been told of this story, and be instantly qualified to judge them for it.
A fucking child knows what they did is wrong, and can piss on their graves, for all i care. Such a cop out to claim that, because we've never been there, we can't presume to know the full story, or judge. We all know what they did is beyond wrong. Every human being knows it.
Men like Tiger deserve our respect and our eternal thanks. These men don't deserve a damn thing.
Hopefully everyone is able to distinguish between the two.
I still have a wonderful opinion of our men and women in the armed forces, and i always will. God bless them. These dudes...not so much. Scum of the earth.
And, to lighten the mood...i hope these men get attacked by shithawks very soon.
