It's none of your business .......... to know anything about what happen and how. Those are the demons that we combat soldiers linger with in the silence of the night.
Your intentions are to vilify those of us that have served in a combat zone. Does it make you feel better and all smiley. -
thavoicenot to mention this battlefield is much different then what we all see in movies. They are plain dressed. Old, young. Boobytrap injured/dead kids, women, and retarded people with vests and IED's. Kids looking no older than 12-13 firing weapons at the enemy. Very hard to distinguish the enemy in today's wars.

bases_loadedThese aren't kids drafted. They are trained US Army with the best technology. These guys purposely made innocent civilians look like the enemy. Killed them. Then posed in pictures like heroes. I'm willing to bet tiger with less cool gear never did such a thing.

That's not what anyone is saying. But these specific soldiers knew that these people were citizens and not disguised bombers or anything and then killed them. That's wrong and there's no question about it.thavoice;723889 wrote:not to mention this battlefield is much different then what we all see in movies. They are plain dressed. Old, young. Oh right, I forgot, soldiers have a free pass to do anything and then not get questioned about it.Belly35;723801 wrote:It's none of your business .......... to know anything about what happen and how. Those are the demons that we combat soldiers linger with in the silence of the night.

No one stated anything about a free pass ... Read my postI Wear Pants;724118 wrote:Oh right, I forgot, soldiers have a free pass to do anything and then not get questioned about it.
Who the hell are you to ask anything, want give you the authority or the ware about to even think you have that right? What criteria do you possess?
What Tiger2003 and other combat harden vets have seen, done and experienced you couldn’t even image in your worst dream….
Soldiers don’t get free pass in a combat situation because they put their life up as collateral.
As stated in other post …. In a combat arena the norm changes … “what is once unthinkable is real”
What those two soldiers testified doing is wrong, beyond wrong … and should be punished. I’m surprised some didn’t “friend fire” or “fraging” but that another issue. -

Really that is none of your business. I can promise you that I did shit you or most of the people on here could never fucking do. Does that make me a better person hell no it don't but a fact is a fact. -

LMAO....After every patrol you get question about everything that happened. Quit speaking from your ass and know a little something about what goes on before posting. Anytime you come back without the same amount of ammo you go out with your being investigated and having to fill out a shit ton of paperwork. -

I never disagreed..I just was not going to vilify any soldier without verification … my frustration is for the onslaught of unwarranted accusation before the truth for the soldiers and the final investigation justifying the truth.CenterBHSFan;724206 wrote:So you're agreeing with myself and others. Just believing in the media without justification and to expound on the photos to irate the public against America and “our” Soldiers is hater’s mentality.
It bad enought that many a disable veteran have to go the life being disrespected because of ignorance -

I don't give a shit what you did as a soldier. But anyone defending these slime balls have issues. Your 'tude on this event would be akin to me...as a Catholic, trying to justify priests poking little boys in the ass.Tiger2003;724230 wrote:Really that is none of your business. Both crimes...capital crimes. Both types of rationalization in justifying capital offenses like these.....despicable as well.
These soldiers are not only cold blooded murderers, but have made our own society more susceptible for terrorism. If it were up to me...they would be afforded due process...and if found guilty...they would be executed by firing squad.....on national television. -

I don't think anyone is equating these murders with the soldiers that serve and defend us. So, not sure why you keep pressing this. This is not John Rambo, the country loves vets, almost too much sometimes and not enough in others.
But, the bigger problem is the fact that Afghans and Pakistanis may not start to attribute U.S. actions with these murders, which is wrong, but a huge part of their society. This will not help the COIN strategy. -
BGFalcons82Tiger2003 - Thank you for your service and defense of our nation. Your perspective is quite unique and I learn something from your posts. I can't imagine being forced to make life altering split second decisions with the ability to create death at the touch of a finger on a daily basis. And then to come back here and try to explain it to those that have no idea what that is like has to be hard. Keep trying, though.
On another subject, politically-speaking, the Abu Gharib situation won't be brought up by the Left anytime soon as their boy is at the helm now. If Bush was responsible for torturing prisoners to gain knowledge of how to protect American soldiers, then isn't Obama equally responsible of this situation? Can't have it both ways. -

See that is the problem you should care what we are doing over their. -

Thank you. It is very hard. I have talked at many events around the US and I plan on keep doing what I do. Not everyone is going to agree with me but some will. -

Due process? Seems to me you've already reached a verdict, Judge Footwedge.Footwedge;724377 wrote:I don't give a shit what you did as a soldier. But anyone defending these slime balls have issues. Ok, if you agree these soldiers should be punished than why the fuck do you keep arguing with other posters? They are not condemning all soldiers, just these particular soldiers as you did in this post I have quoted. Quit arguing for argument sake. Although your posts never make any fucking sense so I don't really know what you are trying to say.Belly35;724199 wrote:No one stated anything about a free pass ... Read my post

So when people voice their opinion on the matter, because they do care, you get very combatitive; now you are saying that the problem is that people shoud care? Should they only care when they only agree with you?Tiger2003;724538 wrote:See that is the problem you should care what we are doing over their.
I think you and Belly both are misunderstanding what people are saying. they are not condemning soldiers, just these soldiers. You of all should know that the ROE do not allow or condone this type of action. So let me ask you flat out, do you think these particular soldiers should be punished for their actions? They engaged in actions not permissable under the UCMJ. They should be punished accordingly.
You strike me as an intelligent poster, I am not sure why you continue to defend your own actions when they were never in question. The actions of these criminals are though. -

Indeed I have prejudged. That is why I added the "due process" point. Or should we water board them to induce some kind of concocted confession....as several on here are good with.believer;725248 wrote:Due process? Seems to me you've already reached a verdict, Judge Footwedge. -

There are bad apples in every barrel and variety of human existence. Our soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen are no different. Suffice to say a vast majority are good apples.
Try to stay away from olive drab Viagra. If the erection lasts longer than 4 hours, please see your doctor. -

You and Belly were both advocating that these guys somehow shouldn't be punished because they're soldiers in a war zone and their jobs suck.Tiger2003;724231 wrote:LMAO....After every patrol you get question about everything that happened. I wasn't talking about dudes being able to randomly do whatever they want or anything I was talking about accountability. If someone murders a civilian, and it is murder that is in question not crossfire or an accidental killing or where they thought they were possible enemies. They knew they were civilians that posed no threat and killed them anyway (or at least that's what the reports are). If that is true then they are murderers and a disgrace not to mention giving fuel to those who would wish to harm us.
No one is calling you or Belly a murderer so stop taking it that way. -

Nope...not in the least. Never said that...ever. The Constitution pretty much endorsed our country defending ourselves. I endorse defending our country. Me and the Constitution...BFF.believer;725601 wrote:It's obvious you have a massive erection on for the military in general.

bases_loadedThese guys were pieces of shit that give thousands of people doing good a bad name.
Throwing candy out of the stryker and then shooting or running over kids?
Collecting plant weapons...give me a fucking break, these guys need to sit in front of a firing squad.
"While the officers of 3rd Platoon peeled off to talk to a village elder inside a compound, two soldiers walked away from the unit until they reached the far edge of the village. There, in a nearby poppy field, they began looking for someone to kill. "The general consensus was, if we are going to do something that fucking crazy, no one wanted anybody around to witness it," one of the men later told Army investigators.
The poppy plants were still low to the ground at that time of year. The two soldiers, Cpl. Jeremy Morlock and Pfc. Andrew Holmes, saw a young farmer who was working by himself among the spiky shoots. Off in the distance, a few other soldiers stood sentry. But the farmer was the only Afghan in sight. With no one around to witness, the timing was right. And just like that, they picked him for execution."
