I see no evidence of any management skills unless you are a fan of top down unilateral management. (Remember that bus?) Denning and the Japanese have proved there is a better way. All the indicators point that the direction he is taking Ohio is off the cliff, but keep on believing for three more years. Meanwhile don't forget to vote in a couple of weeks. Local tax hikes for everyone complements of the idiots in Columbus passing the buck to the local governments.

As for Obama: he's trying to change the culture of a state that has been an economic failure for decades. It's obviously an uphill battle.
    Fixed it for you again.

Hey bright boy all you got? How about sticking to the topic once in a while. I know you would like to get this thread shut down again. Your stuck with Kasich and the only way to defend his actions is by making smart ass comments that have nothing to do with the post or by attacking me personally. You got a problem with me you can PM me. We can work it out. I am a reasonable man.

Perhaps your dumbest post ever, and that is saying something.

On the one hand you are essentially saying you favor a decentralized system of management, i.e. a more local grass roots based style of management/governance. Then you turn around in the last sentence and blast the idea of a centrist/statist government relinquishing its onerous taxation and regulation, as though the localities can't handle governing themselves. Bizarre.

I think most of us are FOR more local control and more local taxes, at the expense of higher state and federal taxes. Local governance, local accountability, local transparency are the keys to future prosperity. I am glad the state has reduced marginal income tax rates; all we need now is to rid ourselves of the radical union powers still holding us hostage to unsustainable and unaffordable public sector compensation.

I merely stated the fact that Kasich did exactly what he said he was going to do, make decisions without input from anyone else including members of HIS OWN party. To govern that way is ripe for failure, which is where he is heading. As for more local control, Kasich is not giving up any control, in fact there is committee work right now in the state taking over the collection responsibilities for municipalities. What he has done is shifted the tax burden on down the line. Sounds like to conflicting policy decisions to me.

To govern, one must be able to build consensus and that means working with the opposing party, and your constituents for the common good. Nobody on here yet has cited one thing he has done that will help Ohio in the future. Giving corporate hand outs and getting into bidding wars with other states and is not a good long term strategy to create long term, good paying jobs for the middle class.

Is good typing/spelling a prerequisite for posting now or do you feel the need to share your fixation with me every time I post? I already told you I am not interested in your latent homosexual advances. You should stick with your current dance partner.

Sorry, not my take on the unions. You need to educate yourself better on public unions. Who will stand up with us against John Kasich and his rewarding of his friends with millions of our tax dollars. Look at who is behind the school voucher programs and the testing programs. Follow the money and the truth will set you free.

Open a book and study a little history of the rise of the unions in America. GOOD unions are a necessary evil and help balance the power. For those of you who think you would be better off without any at all, you are just fooling yourself. Unionization or the threat of is a very motivating factor. You will see unions rise in third world country's and everywhere where workers are exploited.

How is getting a massive premium to private sector pay and benefits being exploited. The only people getting exploited are the taxpayers and the citizens who have no say at the table and are getting 50 cents on the dollar in value for their efforts/taxes.

We can continue down the path to complete insolvency, or we can change it. You want to stick your head in the sand and act like a crisis is not at hand, but the responsible people among, including Kasich, want to fix the problems for the benefit of all.

Kasich is well on his way to being a one-term Governor. His ties to Wall Street may have bought him this term, but his actions will seal the deal for whoever runs against him. He's toast!

No say at the table? Clearly the most stupid statement you ever made, and that's a long list of stupid.

Hilarious. With all the anti-Wall St. sentiment that was out there when he first ran, and the negative ads Strickland's people ran that kept trying to make him out to be some Wall St. fatcat...and now you're saying those ties are what "bought" him the election?

    Too funny.

If he's a one-term governor, it will be because he tried to change the union culture of this state that has helped keep it down economically since the 1980s and wasn't successful.

And if that happens, we all lose because that same culture will continue the massive brain drain that has affected this state for the past 30 plus years.

A laughingstock where -- on forums like Daily Kos or fake sites like Plunderbutt? Please.

Every major newspaper in the state just endorsed what Kasich is trying to do, including a number that are so traditionally Democrat they almost never agree with what Republicans want to do in Ohio.

If he were a "laughingstock" that wouldn't be happening.

    Your hyperbole is just that.

Frankly I doubt that Ohio politics are at the top of anyone's discussion list in 49 states (56 states to the neo-commies)
