Oh those silly polls! Just what do you think he has accomplished that is positive? Shifting taxes to the local government? SB 5 which is going to be repealed? Pissing off most of the people in the middle? Governing without compromise with the other party or the majority of his constituents? Keep drinking the tea-aide.

The people of Holmes county know better how to spend their money then than the wizards of smart in Columbus. I have said this before but it is worth repeating. People always spend other peoples money less responsibly then their own. When it comes to government, the local level is about as close as it gets to their own. Subsidies from the state and feds skew that. Also state and federal money many times come with strings attached. No thank you.

It stands about as much chance of repeal as Obama care.

Why should they compromise? Their is no need for it. Elections have consequences. If the people of Ohio wanted compromise they would have elected a divided government. I would expect the democrats to govern in the same manner if the tables were turned. If you got a straight flush you play it.

They have had this, and did play it. One of those runs resulted in collective bargaining being shoved down the throats of the electorate. There was no debate, it was simply passed by an all Democrat legislature and signed by a Democrat Governor (Celeste).

And that's what will get the other party back in control.

Possibly, but Ohio tends to be a more conservative voting base. There is no surprise regarding how Kasich has acted with his executive power. If the people choose to not want it after four years, so be it. They are, however, getting exactly what they chose to have for this period.

Even with the minor setback, isn't that a significantly lower rate than he inherited?

And, given the radicals in D.C. attempting to wipe out the coal industry by administrative fiat, and their agenda to dismantle capitalism, it is all the more remarkable. The governor is doing an excellent job, period!

From February 2010 until April 2011, Ohio was on a consistent fourteen-month streak of seeing its unemployment rate drop every month. That was second only to the streak that began in 1983 in terms of longest consecutive streak of consistently dropping monthly unemployment rates in Ohio. The streak ended in May when Ohio’s unemployment rate stayed the same as it did in April.

I'm sure the tens of millions out of work due precisely to obama's radical regime are laughing as well.

So you are saying the recession was Obama's fault? Any creditability you may have had on here is gone.

That is not whay I said. His policies have dramatically worsened the economy and curtailed any significant recovery. Worse yet, his policies have seriously dampened the long-term economic outlook for the nation ---- which is exactly why no one in their right mind is willing to invest further into their US operations. I know it, and you know it.

And everyone being polled knows it. That's why almost every poll shows people, by a good margin, believe this country is headed in the WRONG direction.

For the third time this month, consumer confidence has fallen to the lowest level of the past two years.

The Rasmussen Consumer Index, which measures the economic confidence of consumers on a daily basis, fell another point on Friday to 67.7. That’s the lowest level of confidence recorded since July 23, 2009. It’s down 26 points from this year’s high-water mark of 93.3 and just 13 points above the lowest level of confidence recorded in the past ten years. Consumer confidence is down two points from a week ago, down nine points from a month ago and down eight points from three months ago.

Thanks. Were you planning on answering the question I actually asked?

Were #5 Where are the jobs!
The Labor Department said Thursday that Ohio had the nation’s fifth largest increase in applications for unemployment benefits during the week that ended July 9. Sign-ups went up by more than 5,800 in the state due to layoffs in the auto industry and manufacturing.

Last week, claims rose nationwide by 10,000 to a seasonally adjusted 418,000. Applications have topped 400,000 for 15 straight weeks, a sign of sluggish hiring.

Consumers have pulled back on spending this year, besieged by high unemployment, stagnant wages, and high gas prices. That has slowed the economy’s growth.

That's your opinion and by the way is not shared by the majority of Americans. Only you and your FOX and Friends.
