For about the 8th time over the past year, he has Bam two points higher than Gallup...further beating your silly "right-leaning" obsession into a grease spot.Ty Webb;650517 wrote:http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll
Also fish....what do you expect a right leaning pollster to say? -

Hhmmm....Barry's ratings have taken a rise lately. Let's see why...he agreed with tax cuts for the rich, he installed a business-minded Chief of Staff, and he's talking like a conservative. So he did pay attention on November 2nd and he's changing his Progressive ways enough in order to garner more support from independents. The tricky part for him will be, can the Left and Progressives assail him enough to bring him back to his natural state of being? He may talk like a conservative, but he doesn't walk like one nor has he ever acted like one. He better hope he can keep up the charade for almost 2 years like der Schlickmeister did. -

I think this has been discussed many times before. I am sure that for a gun totting, food storing, tea partyier like you he looks like a liberal. However, his actions have been fairly consistent with a more moderate ideology. -

Hey smart guy, I don't own a gun, I don't have freezers full of food, but I am a Tea Partier. Hell, Pete Rose was happy with 1 out of 3, so should you. Obama is a moderate eh? I suppose to folks like George Soros and Aunt Bee Piven, he sure is one. Nice to know where you fit in the political spectrum, comrade. -

While not exactly a moderate he certainly isn't as liberal as the posters in this forum will have you believe.BGFalcons82;652090 wrote:Hey smart guy, I don't own a gun, I don't have freezers full of food, but I am a Tea Partier. With the conservative circle jerk that goes on here, anyone in the middle is labeled a liberal. -
CenterBHSFanIf Obama isn't "as liberal" that some think he is/was, then just how liberal is liberal?
In other words, how liberal is Obama? Or... How conservative of a liberal is he?
-
fish82He's pretty damn liberal. Anyone who thinks differently hasn't followed his career very closely.

I don't know. I just know that he isn't as "crazy far left" as many of the posters here would have you believe.CenterBHSFan;652723 wrote:If Obama isn't "as liberal" that some think he is/was, then just how liberal is liberal?

I mean, I've been told on this board that John McCain isn't a conservative. Not that he isn't a far right conservative (not trying to say he is just making a point) but that he isn't a conservative. -

I get what ya mean, now. Personally, I do think he's pretty liberal. And just because I don't believe he has balls that hang doesn't mean that I think he's a "whacko" the likes of a Pelosi or an Olbermann. That is to say, I'm sure he's had his share of whacko-ish moments like we all have, but he's not the asylum sort of nutsI Wear Pants;652870 wrote:I don't know. I Wear PantsThat's all I was getting at. Just as there was this perception that Bush was a fascist crazy right wing nut there is a perception that Obama is a commie left wing psycho. Both are wrong. I think Bush was a bad president and I don't think Obama has been a good president so far but I don't think either are historically bad or anything. I disagree with a lot of policies but I don't think either is maleviolent in their ideas as many on the left or right will have you believe.

Whatever is "malevolent" in any policies is in the huge abyss between ideology and reality. Unintended, if you will. Or not being able or wanting to see the domino effect, to say it another way.I Wear Pants;652904 wrote:I disagree with a lot of policies but I don't think either is maleviolent in their ideas as many on the left or right will have you believe.
At least, that's my own opinion which others may agree or disagree with. -

Even if he's the second coming of Karl Marx in his heart he hasn't governed that way. -

Agreed...simply because circumstances haven't allowed him to. Looking at his body of work, I find it hard to believe that he doesn't want to govern that way.BoatShoes;654224 wrote:Even if he's the second coming of Karl Marx in his heart he hasn't governed that way. -

I was posting that link and figured I would make that comment in it -
Ty WebbSome of you who think it's a forgone reailty that President Obama is going to lose in 2012 may want to take a look at recent polls released about battleground states

Ty WebbAbout 3/4 of the posters here Center.....just go ahead and read posts from the past year where they've said he should just announce he isn't running because he stands no chance
-
CenterBHSFanNo, I remember people saying that if he didn't change his ways, a monkey could win an election against him. I remember people also saying that if Obama pulled a Clinton come November if the R's took over (this has pretty much come to pass) that he would have a much better shot.
