what do you do, just type and hit post? I posted a full 17 min behind you and did not see your post. I guess I spend to much time spell checking, and double checking facts etc... No offense to FU at all......but they will not be an obstacle to the Aces title run. The Falcons have a few tough kids, but with some FF and the depth that AC possesses it will not be close.CoachTim;1074233 wrote:Congrats on that dual. It's always fun to win the big matches and TV is always one of them. CV has some very good wrestlers but not enough wrestlers to win a dual against Amanda. (You all better watch out for our football team next year, every kid over 170lb in the school is lifting weights for football right now I think) I think FU is AC's last obstacle. Coach Brison had done a wonderful job with that program and should be very proud. Not only this year but AC looks to be tough for a few years to come. I like that the MSL Buckeye keeps getting tougher. That makes us all better. I'm still not exactly sure what all the changes will be with the league but next year should be the same teams as this year I think.
Has the MSL ever had a SQ from every team in the same year? 6 teams have a legitimate shot this year to have qualifiers with the other 2 teams with an out side chance. -
CoachTim
I guess the consensus is that the only thing that stands in AC's way is AC. Baring a flu epidemic or as someone mentioned the bus driver getting lost on the way to Circleville the title is theirs.... That gives me an idea, I got to go call the county engineers office... I think we have some roads that need to be fixed... (22 East & West, 188, 56 East & west, the exit ramp's at 23, and walnut creek pike) That ought to do it...Dad4Sports;1074259 wrote:No offense to FU at all......but they will not be an obstacle to the Aces title run. Keato, of course you would know better than me, just repeating what I've heard from some of my roundtown friends....Amanda does have a young team this year with all of those Sophmores starting, and next year I think we will have 2 Seniors on the team, should be interesting the next couple of years.
Now that's funny, and no convincing Zanzi's to taint the recipe next Thursday either, best pizza around on the cheap...CoachTim;1074274 wrote:I guess the consensus is that the only thing that stands in AC's way is AC. xxxTURTLExxxCoachTim: I know the bus driver that took them to Miami Trace very well. I'm sure I could call and arrange something.

CoachTimI know king only has 4 matches at 120, making him 2-2 at 120...?
I don't know much about the others off hand.
kern is the only kid at CV eligible for MSL placement. He is 4-0 at 120.
others for example are Knul who is 5-0 but has wrestled 2 different weights.
Cummings has a loss to minnard at 113 (1-1 at 113 and 3-0 at 106)
no one else on the team has 4 matches at a weight yet. -
thevikingyou are right king is 2-2 at 120 and 1-0 WBDF at 126

Coach Tim, just curious how does that affect the placement of weight class in the league when a wrestler is moved to another weight to wrestle? If the record at a different weight doesn't count then there probably aren'tmany kids that have any real placement potential because of being moved to help the team results. Please help -

You must wrestle a minimum of 4 league matches at a weight to qualify for post-season league honorswrestlefan;1080012 wrote:

That list of names could be the meat of the line up so to speak. I hope to make it to Canal tonight to cheer on the Rangers! See ya there!bribacker51;1080063 wrote:Hamilton Township

bigdawgShould be a good one in Roundtown tonight, even if Keato is trying to get us AC fans to "relax you've got this" LOL I can't relax and this is huge, circleville is more than capable of beating the Aces tonight hands down would not be a fluke at all, they are good.
With all of that said, this is a very big night for the AC wrestling program, I hope for some good clean wrestling with NO injuries this close to Sectionals.
Not for sure which AC boys are still in the running for an defeated MSL record, but this should be close...
I'm going off memory, and the older I get the worse it is, hope I'm close.
Dilley - 132
Horn - 152
Tipton - 170
Chenetski - 1 OT loss to Crum - HT
Genders - I think undefeated in MSL but can't remember.
We also have several guys with only 1 loss as well. -
thevikingnace from TV beat dilley at 132 7-1 but dilley beat boswell 3-2, , knull from CV moved up to 132 to wrestle nace and beat him 11-9
knull has only wrestled 132 once . it boswell wrestles 132 and beats nace this would be a 3 ways tie , i dont no how many times boswell has wrested 132 i think only 1 time tonight might make 3 -

If Boswell beats Nace, then that would be 2 losses for Nace and Dilley is champ. If Nace wins, then Nace and Dilley are tied and Nace is champ with head to head win.theviking;1080818 wrote:nace from TV beat dilley at 132 7-1 but dilley beat boswell 3-2, , knull from CV moved up to 132 to wrestle nace and beat him 11-9

Or did they not wrestle yet? Im confused! -
CoachTim
Correct, there aren't many kids that have real placement potential, for circleville any how. That's just how it goes... Last year Otero was 7-0 MSL because I moved him around to get the tougher matches. He was not MSL champ. This year same story with Knul and Cummings(1 loss). They might get their 4th match at a weight class tonight, but then again they might not...wrestlefan;1080012 wrote:

Theviking, Knul wrestled Three times at 32, he weighed in at 32 and wrestled both TV and LE last week. We also bumped him up against Hamilton from 26 to 32 in the first dual. He is 3-0 at 32 and 2-0 at 26 -

Yes....that was the result in the championship match at the Watkins Tourney....Cthelites;1080846 wrote:Did I see a result for Boswell-Nace 14-10 the other day?

All the discussion here is strictly for league honors....only league matches count
Boswell certified at 132 last Thursday night....so even if he wrestles 2 matches tonight at 132, he will not be eligible for any honors in that weight class. For that matter.....not sure, but I don't think he will have 4 matches at 138 either. So far, I think he may have 2 matches at 138 and just the one at 132. -

I would hope the coaches would use common sense when it comes to these placings, if Knul ends the year undefeated, he's an MSL champ at one of those wieghts...Just my opinion. I know it does get a little trickier if you have 2 bonefide champs that did not meet up though.CoachTim;1080854 wrote:Correct, there aren't many kids that have real placement potential, for circleville any how.
