Wayne county area wrestling '11-'12

THE4RINGZZody continues to get screwed. Too bad, he's a good kid.
-
wrestlersdadNot sure I know of anything with the situation with Zody, but anytime there is a wrestler that doesn't get to wrestle when they have worked hard is unfortunate.
-
Jmar25Sorry... Zody didn't get screwed... It was the right call. Textbook slam call. Feel bad for him but it is what it is. Shouldn't have went for the lift.
-
wrestlersdadThe person that really got screwed in that respect was Colton Martin from Smithville. Was winning the go to match, already a controversial call, and the kid he was wrestling took the dive to advance. In talking and hearing from others, that was 3 times this season the kid took a dive to advance.
-
BearBoy69From what i heard and saw Zody did get screwed. And in all respect to Canton South, Zody would've placed, this kid got killed in the finals at Districts, and again in the 1st round at state. But that's how it goes sometimes
-
THE4RINGZI didn't see the Zody slam, just heard it was a very boarder line call.

I was first hand shown the border line slam, very VERY borderline if you want to call that. Just a bad call.THE4RINGZ;1102713 wrote:I didn't see the Zody slam, just heard it was a very boarder line call. -
Jmar25I know your opinions are for the home town kid but the fact is he lifted the kid and did not properly control him. The canton kid landed on his shoulder and head. Textbook call. It doesn't get any easier than that. If it makes you feel better all 3 officials felt horrible about it, all three are area officials, and all three said it was the proper call. Not sure how you argue with that. The doctor was the one that would not let him wrestle so get that sour idea out of your mind as well. It is a major bummer but to be honest, at that weight and that moment he had no business side out and lifting. Should have just let him go or do a simple trip. Tough lesson to learn.
-
Jmar25Zeb, Zane, and Brenden Stanley all in Semi's. Zack loses quarters. Still all 6 Waynedale guys alive. Fortune loses in quarters as well.
-
Jmar25Marshall O. and Max R. win in quarters for W.H.
-
iced earthWardell, Stanley, and Nelson all win by pin in consolation rd. #2

Refs that I have talked to are about fifty fiftt split, but I think most of them are just siding with peers. I understand the lift in that situation probably was not the best idea, but let the kids wrestle and decide their fate. Zody was ranked second in the state, and a definite placer. I also understand that the refs cannot have that in their minds, its just a tough way to lose. Not arguing with you, its your opinion and I have mine..Jmar25;1102689 wrote:Sorry... Bloody ToothbrushNice Job Waynedale......
Team Champs & Beam is 160 champ.
also congrats to all area wrestlers who qualified for the state tournament.
A final note........
Beasty.....
you've suffered untold insults from all, like.......
1. the county tournament format being changed in an attempt to hurt Waynedale by the other jealous county schools
2. the poor reffing....always against Waynedale
3. the stalling...........always against Waynedale
4. the cheating.........always by Northworstern
5. and my favorite......
Miyagis impersonation of an attack sub vet leading the golden horde into battle.......(Jakes Steaks, Ashland Ohio, 3 days after Xmas)
He was actually standing on the bar....screaming bible verses.....cursing the ohsaa......lamblasting liberals......mixed with some military man love thing that goes on when a bunch of guys are trapped underwater together for 6 months straight.
not a soul in the joint knew what he was talking about, but it was so gut busting funny, he got 3 free beers and the bartender didn't even scold him for standing on the bar.
after all that.....You and Waynedale are the champs.....Congratulations. -
