lowsingle174Bw133, no bashing you! I enjoy your rankings. Just put that out as an fyi!
On a side note, Jones once teched Jason Russell From west in 45 seconds in his first month of wrestling. It was amazing. -
cruiser_96If there is one thing I’ve learned about coaches who do projections, it is that if the coaches who filled them out did so anonymously, one could rather easily pick out which coach filled out which bracket. All that to say, if I’m wrong on a GM kid... Sue me.
The skinny...
No rhyme or reason, just going by first glance.
And! If your name, or your kid’s name, is not on this list, as I’ve said MANY times, please, please, for you or your kid’s sake, prove me wrong! I will not mind at all. Set your goals high and reach them!
Also, skin scratches, not making weight and upsets and/or injuries happen. That’s the reality. It is why we wrestle the matches.
Good luck to everyone and see you Saturday.

1. Cousins (WN) vs. McNabb (WC). If they’ve faced each other before, and it was a straight decision, then I’m going with the guy that lost that meeting. However, if a major, tech. or pin occurred, I’ll go with the previous winner. Kind of cheap, I know, but that is how I’ve chosen to do it.
2.
3. Yun Kang (OO) ...because I dig his name. (Not as cool as Chet Bizzle, but certainly cool.)
4. Deantre’ Miller (MF) (The coach know Tai Chi.)
There you have it. Or should I say, in my Clint Eastwood-esque impersonation, “Read’m and weap.”
Also, stop bothering me. -

zambrownAre the Westland brackets and results going to be on The Weirich Wrestling Page again like last year or on Baum's?

UnderratedHey Cruiser - no predictions on the other Central District sectionals? You are slipping. What are you doing? Trying to coach or something!

You ready for this... Last night, my 6yo and I sneak into my wife and I's bedroom as not to disturb the 2yo and the Mrs. Well, the girl was OUT!!! and the Mrs. was dozing. So the boy and I lay down and he asks me about tomorrow night (Friday night) and the weekend. I told him I have a coaches meeting to discuss strategy for Saturday's tournament and then Saturday is the wrestling tournament. To which he leans over and says, "You know dad, family is more important than wrestling?"
<Enter dagger in the heart emoticon here>
To which I sternly rebuked him and sent him into the dog house! KIDDING!!!
Actually, those late nights used to be prime research time. Now they are prime "grooming" time with the boy. Bedtime stories about friendship, loyalty, trust and obedience, and bedtime prayers. Lessons about the importance of God, country and family have replaced brackets and results.
On the one hand I do enjoy all that wrestling, ohiochatter (and ohiowrestling.net as well as y@ppi, but not the other one ) has presented to me. But when it's all said and done, my boy and his sister are my products to society. A state championship (be it team or individual) will matter very little IF I do not do my part to steer these two kids in the right direction. Doing both would be SWEET! though. -

cruiser_96And I know the correct response to this last post...
Which is: "Who cares!? Give us your projections!" -
snugglyhippoyou beat me to it.
-
UnderratedWell said Cruiser! I was only joking. Keep that attitude and you will raise fine young people who will be a credit to you and the Mrs.
-
cruiser_96You're a good man, snuggly.
underrated: That's the plan. (And I figured you were joking.) -
SidNot to come off as a kiss up Cruiser. But, we do all appreciate what you do. To be honest your team is always struggling win-wise. You do seem to have 1 or 2 really good wrestlers each year. But, you do more for the sport (atleast interest wise...not to mention your open mats-which I know the guys love..its competitive, fun and you really try to get to know each wrestler, the Solon trips and your frequent postings-even in the off-season) far more than others who should be more involved with the sport as a whole. Not slamming but just an observation. So thank you...Just saying.

MatsideGettinItDone;682372 wrote:Alright cruiser, no more excuses...brackets are out....got predictions.
and where are the brackets -
Matside6 out 13 teams do not have a team web site
10 of 13 teams provide no team roster
is this just Central Ohio or is this a new trend in wrestling for whatever reason -
knightflyer150We are not allowed to post our roster online due to child safety
