2010-2011 Wayne County League and area Wrestling

A very exciting dual, it’s apparent that both teams are very well coached. I would like to commend Chase Horvath on handling a difficult situation with class! I did not see the twins shake hands with Chase, did I miss this? Best of luck too both teams on a safe and healthy run to Columbus.

Zack and Zane shook hands with Coach Moroski!!! I hope everyone sleeps well tonight now that you know...The REAL story line SHOULD be The Waynedale Wrestling TEAM won the dual!!! I have pictures showing the Twins shaking hands with COACH Moroski...I will be watching closely the rest of the season to make sure that all wrestlers shake EVERY coaches hand. This will turn some duals into marathons waiting for wrestlers to shake EVERY coaches hand. Pretty sad if this is the highlight of the night for some of you...There was actually some GREAT WRESTLING MATCHES that I thought took precedence over tummy sticks!!!!

With the history, one shouldnt expect a warm fuzzy reunion between Horvath and The Nelson Family. The Nelsons have moved on and are working hard towards their dreams and goals...I suggest everyone else do the same! One additional suggestion...make sure YOUR own porch is clean before you worry about cleaning someone elses!!!

Just to clear things up.....No they didnt shake Horvaths hand...Yes, they DID shake a COACHES hand!

I did not care either way beast I was just trying to shed some light on the situation by saying the daily record commented on that and that is why people think that. Yes, you are correct Waynedale once again is stacked and looking very tough. No one is taking that away from them. Tuslaw always has a tough program and you guys did a number on them, congrats.
  • 1_beast
Thank you Pin Em! The Dual really could of went either way if the 2 freshman Stanley(125), Wardell(135) and Jerod McCluggage(sr 140) dont come up huge....Tuslaw wins!!!!

I heard that Stanley kid comes from good stock.

I think the reporter did a good article but some things were taken out of context and have some misunderstanding what happen. Immediately after their hand was raised they went straight to The Tuslaw coaches seats and shook the Tuslaw coaches hand with no attitude and no malice. Zane shook hands and hugged the coach after his forfeit. You critics expect more than that???? The reporter asked Zack why he didn't shake a particular coaches hand and I think his explanation was clear and professional. Would you shake the hand of a man than insulted your mother and put her thru 2 days of crying her eyes out and had your families life turned upside down by illegal and immoral behavior by Mr. Horvath and his staff?? It was all documented by the athletic director, and superintendent investigated and verified. The administration was furious by how it was handled by the coach and have been extremely helpful in our move to Waynedale and very apologetic to my wife, myself and my kids. We are very grateful to the Tuslaw administration for that. No one would go along or condone anything that my twins and I went thru if you knew the story. We have took the high road and chose not to pursue it and work instead at being the best we can be. My sons made a stand they would happily sit out a year before they wrestled for a man that allowed his staff to conduct themselves the way he did. That was not fair to them and we had talked about moving to Waynedale so we did. Trust me Mr. Horvath does not want this well documented story out there . His Mom is on the school board and he has tenure...end of our story let it go. I'am proud of how the twins behaved and maintained their composure last night despite the unprofessional heckling and boo'e from the few trouble makers on the Tuslaw side. Waynedales fans, student body, wrestlers and coaches did not retaliate in any way ....they simply cheered their team on and its nice to be where the "team'' comes first. Anyone who was there and stayed afterwards can clearly see the unity and optimism this team has....that should be the "story".
The Wooster paper is one of the best pro "wrestling " papers in the state bar none. The reporter does an outstanding job. I understand now why some would come to the wrong conclusion about the hand shake. We will always be friends with the wrestlers, teachers and school administration at Tuslaw, the texts and emails from the teachers and wrestlers from Tuslaw days before the match were deeply moving and appreciated. Now lets drop this and wrestle.

We didn't bring it up.....a Rule I have is never, never, never and I mean never attack a HS kid on line ever! So its just not in me to stand back and let a faceless nameless adult attack a kid especially when their info is incorrect. I would hope you would do the same nikslitsepmur.
  • nikstlitslepmur
Just sayin'...the attacks are coming pretty heavy from one direction. I didn't know anything about this situation - I'm pretty sure the same can be said for most casual observers. Now - everyone knows. What do you say we both take your advice? Aight?

You know my wife told me many times that the haters that live on line to create controversy for people with names and faces done by people with out names or faces is the new modern day paradise for cowards, haters, gossipers and bottom feeders. People are much slower to slander and take cheap shots when they can get a real slap to the side of their head for their bad manners and malice. In my 30 years as a coach I have never once , not once had one of these two bit online cowards ever confront or say the things they do on line in person or for that matter even on line when they id themselves. I think I'll take my long over due advice from my beautiful and faithful friend ....My wife... Good luck to everybody this year we will see you on the mat may everyone stay healthy and reap what they sew! God Bless!

Tuslaw Bench shook hands and even Hugged the coach for Tuslaw after their matches. Sad is taking a poke at the twins not knowing what the hey your talking about! "Sad" would be the entire Tuslaw coaching staff and team staying at the hotel getting drunk while the twins wrestled their state matches alone last year at State! Zero moral equivalent. Yes they shook hands with the Tuslaw coach after their match with pics to prove it and shook hands with every single kid on the Tuslaw team. Get a life zoocrew your comment was very "sad".

I was simply asking! That was what DAILY RECORD said not bashing anyone. If was true it would have been sad. Did not know the facts just asked because of what paper said!
  • THE4RINGZ
All right the match ended last night, so should the drama. It's over!

Waynedale is looking good early on this season. Gotta stay healthy.

I am sticking by my original prediction and taking the Huskies all the way this season.

And Beast if you wanna see action this weekend, I'll Amish rake fight you in my backyard this Saturday.

    Falcon,
The twins are two very talented wrestlers and great kids. I notice you ended your last post with "God Bless", and you have brought the big man up in several of your posts. The good book preaches humility and modeling ourselves in God's image....... Does refusing to shake Coach Horvath's hand model this?

The moral is if you bring a private situation to a public forum you will sometimes "reap what you sow". I am by no means saying Tuslaw is coming out of this smelling like roses, but I haven't heard anything from their camp on these forums and judging by Horvath's comments in the paper....... he is over it.
  • Red Rum
Oh brother!!! Wise Owl is a poet and a preature!!!!
I went in the back yard, kicked the dog, cussed the neighbor and drank to excess after reading that last post!
This is the WCAL wrestling thread, not "lessons in morality.com".

Its really not that big of a deal that hands didn't get shook and that people don't get along during the heat of competition. Stuff like this happens all the time and on much larger stages (the State tourney). Sure, it's unfortunate and is not great sportmanship but at least no one was thrown from a balcony!!!! Don't laugh, that incident actually happened.

My larger point here is bruised egos and questionable sportsmanship can be excused, bruised bones and bad sportsmanship can't.

So, hopefully before posters start quoting scripture, we can get beyond this incident and on to real problems.....
like Beast & Ringz rake fight. I'm afraid if it occurs in the Triway district, they both will get trophies.
    NOW THAT AIN'T RIGHT!!!!!!!

Huskies in backyard JB Firestone event at River tomorrow. Haven't won it for awhile, that needs to change. GO Huskies!
  • Bloody Toothbrush
The WCAL is in for another ANTICLIMACTIC season......Waynedale wins going away...(God Bless transfers)
Northwestern finishes second 20-30 pts back...(D#%* transfers)
    All others are complete pretenders.
Norwayne another 20 or 30 behind them....
Chippewa would win the WCAL girls tournament...but it doesn't exist, so they get 4th.
Smithville is not ready for primetime....far too green.
Hillsdales wrestling team has more holes in it than an amish condom.
Daltons program has little support and no chance. When district money gets tight...their gone.

Bears get 5 to state...Huskies get 4....Everyone else gets 5.
Schaefer, the Nelsons, Beam, B.Hall, Grier all place.
Topp, B.Stanley, Heldenbrand win a couple but fall short of the podium.

Red Rum hangs himself from NWN flagpole as Waynedale celebrates another championship
Wise Owl takes over Ernest Angleys ministry....and heals Falcon81 (for a small donation of course)
4Rings gets sucked into computer and becomes "Lawnmower Man"
Beast loses world rake fighting title to "Noah the Super Pilgrim" then moves to Triway and spends the rest of his days passing out "participation trophies".

There you have it.....NostraToothbrush has seen the future.

    GO WALSH!

I want my Regional Trophy...I won by Forfeit tonight as 4ringz was hanging out in Mamby Pamby land...and didnt show-up...what a buttercup!!! ;)
  • falcon81
Wise old Owl....Can you read? The twins immediately shook the Tuslaw coaches hand after their match, Even hugged the coach in one case quit beating down and publicly questioning two HS kids moral character, its classless. The head coach from Waynedale thought it was interesting that not every Tuslaw kid shook his hand but a assistant coach instead just like the twins but I guess they were not high profile enough. The twins were gentleman and great sportsman I am extremely proud of how they have behaved, keep trying to make &HIT OUT OF CHOCOLATE CAKE. Handshakes were given at the time they are given. A handshake means something where I come from and are not given out meaninglessly thats doesn't mean they didn't find a honorable alternative which they professionally and enthusiastically did. Wise old owl quit beating a dead horse that was dead on arrival based on confusing and in accurate info. I will pass on your adult apology to the twins in advance ,I am sure you are "wise" enough to admit you jumped the gun. Ps Would you mind offering your actual name since you are so willing to taint "others" names Please do , that would seem biblical and good manors and form ...you obviously know my families names and spend time trying to effect it. Thanks in advance and yes God bless.
We didn't ask for the press or the confusion ! Lets get back to wrestling. On that note If any one stayed after or have observed the Great karma and momentum in Bear country after the "duals or tournaments" you gotta be feeling pretty stoked right now. The freshman on this team have me very pumped. Dakota Stanley stepping it up against my nephew Dion Perez and Wardell taking down Marthey was verity impressive. Iam counting 9 potential district qualifiers, 5 strong top 5 State placers if every one stays healthy. PS if a coach is measured by his Fans...Louie Stanley has to be one of the best! The Bear fans outnumbered their opponents fans at least 10 to 1. 18 years of great coaching and 50 nephews or more....Powerfull! LOL!

Who ever "bloody toothbrush" is Now thats what wrestling post are all about... Funny and informative with out the haterade!!

Falcon you forgot your standard "God Bless"

Anyone have results from smithville-Mass? Also, It would be nice to see a Waynedale or a Northwestern at the hoover holiday (North Canton) representing the WCAL!
