A lot of people are saying "why did he wait until his appeal hearing to bring this up?" He didn't. He had an interview scheduled with Jay Glazer on Sunday to discuss this topic and the Browns shut it down and had him cancel it.

Just in general. How was the slur not known immediately? Seems like his teammates and several officials would know right after the brawl cleared. 
 

If he did say it...still doesn’t clear Garrett and if he did say it, give Rudolph double Garrett’s punishment.

you can call me a steeler homer but i 1000% dont believe that he used a racial slur.  Garretts reaction on the field immediately after and in the locker room after dont support that happening.  Total scumbag cop out move if you ask me.

As previously mentioned, "he said, he said." We'll likely never know the complete truth.

One thing I can say is it's good to see posters on here, from the Pittsburgh side, have brains in their heads. If you check out other sites you'll see mouth breathing dolts saying "Rudolph did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong and shouldn't have been punished and definitely not suspended." This thing escalated because of Rudolph. In fact, if you watch the video, I think it's over (before the helmet swing) if Rudolph doesn't charge him.

Oh well, on to Miami (Cleveland) and Cincinnati (Pittsburgh).

I think a fine was appropriate for Rudolph. No one ever has been suspended for pulling at someone's helmet or charging someone.  hell most fights dont even get a game suspension, you just get ejected.  The fact that garrett escalated things has nothing to do with Rudolph's infractions imo

Really? Kicking him in the nuts and punching him is excusable too? If anyone should be pissed, it's Ogunjobi. He pushed Rudolph to the ground and got a game for THAT?

I didnt see him kick him in the nuts he was trying to keep him off of him his leg never extended in a kicking motion. The still frame picture looks that way but if you watch the video its not a kick. and i didnt see a punch either he was reaching for his helmet.   Ogunjobi was a  cheap shot on a QB. Im fine with one game for him and i was fine with 2 or 3 with pouncey.  I think the fine was appropriate for Rudolph.  If Garrett doesnt flip out no one would be talking about anything Rudolph did.

Anyone who says Rudolph "got what he deserved" is also a mouth breather. He instigated it and he escalated it but he didn't "deserve" to be hit in the head. Had he not charged MG I think the incident would've ended at that, without Myles swinging the helmet.

this is bad for football and this rivalry overall.  compounded now by this allegation of racial slurs. nobody wins. I wish they would have just made it six games so it doesnt go into next year and we have to keep discussing it.

It may still be one sided, in recent wins, but the Browns have now proven that they can be the "bully" (not talking cheap shots but how the Browns came out and imposed their will on Pittsburgh, which a Steeler O-Lineman said in a post game interview) and dominate Pittsburgh at their own game.

Some people have too much time on their hands.

Earlier in the week, callers were calling into 92.3 claiming that they were going to wear Myles Garrett #95 jerseys to the second meeting at Heinz Field. One dumbass even claimed he was going to dress his small sons in one too. First off, for as many people claiming they were going to do this I call bullshit as I'm skeptical there would be that many tix available to opposing fans and secondly, it's all fun & games to talk a good game but, when push comes to shove, that would be pure stupidity and a suicide mission.

My take on this is that, defensively, the Browns dominated Pittsburgh. Injuries had a role in how horrible Rudolph was down the stretch, but he wasn't exactly moving the ball with any sort of consistency before the skill players started dropping like flies. Their only legit drive in the game was handed to them by penalties and when they had to make plays, their success rate was comically horrible.

On the other side of the ball, Pittsburgh is really good defensively and Cleveland, for all their skill position talent on paper, seems to have a really blah and generic offense where Mayfield looks like a game manager, his big-name targets look like possession receivers and all their success seems based on their ability to establish the run to give Mayfield 2nd/3rd-and-short to try to convert with safe throws.

With Pittsburgh's inability to move the ball combined with them not forcing TOs defensively like they'd been doing really well at in most of their games AND the game being in Cleveland, it probably shouldn't have have been remotely that close before Cleveland clinched it with that score with 6 or so to go. It turned that game, in the fourth quarter, into this weird thing for me where Pittsburgh had no reason to be in the game, but they were and just needed one big play to have a chance to steal it. If anything, I wound up giving credit to Mayfield because I was 100% expecting him to try to force something and implode, giving the Steelers that chance, but he kept on with the safe-n-boring strategy and never put things in a situation where the momentum could change.

Being reported that MG told the team, and a teammate, immediately after the game so he didn't "suddenly" decide to pull the race card at the appeal. As far as Myles not screaming from the mountaintop's after this happened, one of his teammates was interviewed and said "Myle's is a different cat. Just a VERY private person who tends to keep things to himself."And riddle me this, I don't believe the players know who is/isn't mic'd before a game so what benefit would there be to Myles making this up? If a bunch of people are mic'd and he's lying, he looks like the fool.

Just watched “A Beautiful Day”

I think both teams need to watch that movie a few hours before their next matchup

Call me a mouth breather idgaf, but fuck Rudolph, especially after how he has handled this.   It would have been better if he got knocked out cold, so we wouldn't have to listen to his dumbass press conferences.  

I will refer to my previous post regarding this incident.  The only regret is it wasn't rapistberger and it had to be our best player.  If it were rapist and someone like Chad Thomas, I would be drinking yinzer tears.  Yinzer fans are so full of shit when they try to virtue about this incident.   

I also hate the "wHaT iF RuDolPh DiEd??" argument.  He didn't die, so who GAF?  What if AB broke our punter's neck, what if harrison paralyzed momass, what if rapist ruptured myles nutsack? 

If we're being honest, Garrett is a thug - with all the mics no one heard what he claimed (and basic logic says he just claimed that for a reduced suspension).   If you're aren't a retard, there's almost no way Rudolph threw out a racial slur (and I think the guy sucks and would love to see him get suspended).

I have never seen that many helmet-to-helmet hits in a season, much less one game (hell, there were THREE on one play alone).  Make of that what you will, but it's obvious.  And yet the Browns still suck.
