Jets just released former OSU WR Devin Smith. Another in a long line of disappointed 2nd round picks for the Jets.

he'd look great in a plain orange helmet, especially on the cheap

To be clear, nobody looks good in that helmet.

My thoughts exactly. Loved him in college, he's been a total bum post tOSU. Injuries a plenty.

He’d be fresh for a SB run

So they're going to trade him?

Heard he turned down $70 million. What an idiot.

Said he won't take less than the tag amount on a yearly basis. Guy who just started with my company (long-time Steeler fan) says he isn't worth it. He probably only has about 3 more prime years left in him.

A team would be crazy to hand any running back that kinda dough.

I agree but from a lot of fans perspective, when they aren't writing the checks, their mindset is "pay the man." I remember when Josh Cribbs (obviously not nearly as much money as Bell) took his contract dispute to the people and he had a ton of idiots saying he should get paid ridiculous money.

So he gets paid on the tag this year and hopes someone else will give him a better deal? Fat chance.

Actually, his potential landing destinations are already being discussed for 2019 (should he hit the market) and the early favorites to land him would be Buffalo, Oakland, Houston and (gulp) Cleveland, who will have $100+ million in cap space.

I can’t cry about a guy only making $14 million a year. He seems worth more but football is different. J.J. Redick can get $23 million for a year and no one sniffs at it. Apples and oranges I know.

An elite player but not likely in two years

His speech was awesome, though, along with the girl from the USA hockey team....that being said, I thought Danica Patrick was a terrible choice as host--she was just plain bad.

Not too surprising when your claim to fame was being fat.

Right. Just saying if he wasn’t fat no one would have known or cared who he was. Obviously weight was and probably always will be his issue. That’s why it’s not too surprising.

When you’re playing in the nfl and you’re at your peak physical condition and you’re 315lbs  and not a rocked up lineman... yeah I can imagine youd eat yourself to a ridiculous number. 560 is nuts i agree, but dudes always been a slob. Wtf would he have been if he never played sports? Playing football couldn’t keep him from ballooning to 315... what was sitting on his ass full time gonna do is my point I guess.

Part of the preview they showed was Tom Coghlin setting his max at 292 lbs and every day he had to weigh in and if he was over he was fined. He talked about refusing to get on the scales after his Giants time was over.

560 fucking lbs....it’s impressive to walk at that size, sans NCF
