Based on that clue, I’m going with Robin Roberts.

Question #132:

This player from the '30s, '40s, and '50s is one of only two players in MLB history to have six 3-HR games, and he's the only one of the two who is in the Hall of Fame.  The other is Sammy Sosa.

Hint: He's not a member of either the 500-HR club or the 3,000-hit club, but he did lead the league in HRs four times and finished top-10 in MVP voting six times.

(Fun tidbit: The next highest HOFers have four such games, but there are six non-HOF players who have five.)

Damn.  Thought that would take longer.  Nice guess.

Mize and Sosa are the only players in MLB history with six 3-HR games.  ARod, McGwire, Kingman, Delgado, Joe Carter, and Mookie all have five.  Everyone else has four or fewer.

Ah, that's right.  You've had a lot of active leader questions.  I should have known.

I love the clues.

And I have a little bit of an edge on 50’s, 60’s and 70’s guys, as I actually saw them play.
