If Edgar is accurate, I think this is it. I can’t think of anyone else around then with less than 16 triples.

Otrap must’ve finally taken a sedative
After I made my guesses I looked up, and Edgar has to be it, he had exactly 15 triples.
The other two are well below 15 in total triples.
That's the list. I looked it up.

Thomas
Martinez
Speaking of slow people and triples, Sean Casey had 12 which is about 12 more than I expected.
I still can't figure out what made Edgar HoF worthy. His only above average stat really for hsi 162 game average was his .312 batting average.
40 doubles, 24 HRs, 99 RBIs, .312 BA.
That screams Hall of Very Good to me, unless he was an amazing defensive player (Ozzie Smith, Omar Vizquel type) which he wasn't.
.933 career OPS ain't slouchy.
Funny he's listed as 3B, and is almost spot on average for a HOF 3B in WAR.

He spent about 1/3 of his career games at 3B, 1/3 at 1B, and 1/3 at DH. I guess it's hard to nail him down to 1 position.
I will jump in...
Question #81:
Wes Ferrel is the career HR leader while playing the position of Pitcher with 37 HRs. These two HoF'ers are tied for 2nd place all time as pitchers with 35.
Edit:
Hint: They both had their careers interupted by serving in the armed forces in WW2.

Yep. Totally slept past my alarm. Glad you guys got it.

Yep. I made sure to say "15 or fewer" instead of "fewer than 15" to make sure I included Edgar.

I still think of him as a DH. Personally, I'm glad he's in the Hall. In addition to the above, his WAR was no slouch.

Not sure if Bob Lemon had his career interrupted, but when I was looking up a question two days ago, he had quite a few home runs.
Maybe Don Drysdale? He had that one crazy year where he batted .300 and had 7 HRs.
Bob Gibson?
I think I looked this up the other day.

Bob Lemon is one of the 2 answers. He was in the Navy I believe during WW2, first season was 1941 before that I believe.

Drysdale is up there with 29, but not him.
Gibson had 24. I can't remember the top of the pitcher HR list.
Wait. Warren Spahn?
Every time I know one, somebody edges me out. Bob Lemon ......off the WW2 clue. He played several games as an outfielder, too.

New age voters appreciation or OB%....he didn’t make many outs and that got him over the hump.
I was stumped, so I looked it up. This says Lemon also had 37. Did I miss a delineation? Maybe 2 of his HRs were as an outfielder or something?
Welcome to the thread jmog

Spahn is the 2nd answer.

2 were as a pinch hitter.
