They will need a lot more than this to do any real damage, hate to say it. But agents paying players...?? That won’t even be more than a scholarship or 2. Unless they have the coaches directly tied to this stuff, or someone at the school. On the books, etc they have nothing. Just players being paid by agents. No proof the school was ordering it (they were) or that the coaches and schools even knew (they did).

Yeah Izzo was having dinner with the agents.  MSU is royally screwed.

This is one of those things that everyone knew was happening but never thought it’d actually get investigated. The NCAA isn’t going to ban all their top schools from participating in tournaments, so my guess is what laley  said: they don’t have enough to tie the schools and coaches directly to this, and they just fine the shit out of them (more money for the NCAA).

Louisville’s championship is no more, as their appeal of NCAA infractions was denied.

I remember the line from James Earl Jones in the Hunt for the Red October, "Now, understand, commander, that torpedo did not self-destruct. You heard it hit the hull. And I... [shows him his CIA identification] ...was never here."

"Now understand public, that Louisville Cardinal team did not win the national championship.  You saw Michigan beat a mid-level West Coast team to take the title and recall Louisville not even qualifying for the tournament that year.  And Rick Pitino...(shows them an NCAA business card)...was never a college basketball coach." - NCAA

The current model of the one and done is not sustainable. If all of these violations get punished, but they don’t change the rules, the same thing will happen again and again.

Pay at college players a fair market wage and this all goes away.

Kevin Stallings to Pitt was such a predictably terrible hire. 7 points at halftime today, staring an 0-18 conference season in the face.

Pitt is awful. How the fuck do you score 7 points in a half?

Bill Self is so incredible in regular season/conference play. Now if he can just figure it out in the tourney...

UC getting hosed at home again on calls

Tulsa has 6 straight wins and has made 9’s but I’ve seen maybe the two worst calls I’ve seen all year and finally after the cleanest block you could ever wish for called a foul...Coach goes nuts and technical foul and they are losing at half.

i get upset sometimes watching high school refs struggle but I just don’t understand how these guys doing big time games can be so bad. Quit fucking anticipating everything. Wait a damn 1/2 second longer to blow your whistle....it’s not a race

Right after reading this, I look up to see him do a great job working inside for an reasonably easy lay-up and...brick it. Way to make a play in a close game, dude...

If the article I read early is correct, Louisville will have to pay back $15-20 million of conference tournament earnings. Couple that with $30 million state cuts that Bevin just signed and a lot of people will be losing their jobs at UL. Bet they won’t be the the athletic department.

Thats really the whole problem. Coaches and players breaking NCAA rules are costing these universities millions of dollars. If the money wasn’t so ridiculous this wouldn’t be the mess it is
